In Silent Hill 2 Remake, in the staff room of the Lakeview Hotel, you can find a locked safe, which you will need to get a certain code to open. You can do this by finding gems and opening the box in the manager's office. In this guide, we will tell you in detail how to do this.
How to open the safe in the Lakeview Hotel in Silent Hill 2
The first thing you will need to do is open the briefcase in room 205 to get the key to the service elevator. Next, you will need to go to the service elevator room on the 2nd floor and place all your gear in the locker. Get into the elevator and select level 1.
Important: Down below you will be without weapons, so do not encounter monsters under any circumstances, that is, try to go around them.
After going down, exit the elevator, turn left and move to a kind of booth in the center of the room, which is a staff room. You can get there through an open counter. Inside you will find a location map and a large safe with a combination lock, standing on the floor.
To open the safe, you will need to find the code hidden in the box, but it is not necessary, that is, you can immediately enter the combination 7414and take the Basement Key and the video tape from it. Where to find precious stones
So, you can find the box with the required combination in the manager's office – it will be lying on the table. To unlock it, you will first have to find 3 multi-colored stones that are hidden in different corners of this area.
First, go to the break room to the east and move the cabinet to the right to reveal a hole through which you can get to the manager's room. Immediately turn the camera to the left, and you will see a box on the nightstand with a Red Stone hidden inside.
Now go to the pantry, and from there go down to the room to the south and go to the refrigerator with an open door. Inside you will find a Blue Stone.
Next, go to the kitchen, first climbing into the dining room through the open counter, and then going east through the crack in the dishwasher. You will find a Green Pebble on a steel table, near the window. Be careful, as there is a monster in this room.
How to Solve the Box Puzzle
Next, return to the box, the location of which we indicated above, and interact with it. You will need to place the gems so that the same picture as on the painting hanging in the office appears in the center of the box. The screenshot below shows the correct option.
Inside the box you will find a piece of paper with the code to the safe. Return to the vault and open it by entering the password 7414 (it is the same for all difficulty levels). Inside you will find the Basement Key.
