In the Shadow of the Erdtree add-on for the Elden Ring game, it is possible to get two dragon forms – male and female. To do this, you need to find two special dragon hearts and activate them in a certain way.

How to obtain a male dragon form in Shadow of the Erdtree
In order to find the Stone Heart to transform into a dragon, you need to solve the riddle with the painting and find its author in the place where this painting was painted.
Where to look for the painting
The required point from which to start is the save point “Shadow Haven, Main Gate”. The location itself is located in Shadow Altus, which can be reached through Ensis Castle by clearing it and defeating the boss. But there is another, simpler way, which is described in this article.
At the very beginning of the Shadow Haven location, you need to fight the boss – the Golden Hippopotamus. After a successfully completed battle, you will receive the spell “Crucible Knight Attribute: Thorns,” and another blessing, “Square in front of the main gate,” will appear at the battle site.
From this place, turn left and go into the arch. Climb all the wooden steps up until you find yourself in a room with a fireplace, where two black knights will be waiting for you.
Next, go through the eastern exit, which will lead you straight to a huge square. On the way you will see a large stone bridge over the river.
Get closer to the bridge and jump down onto the path covered with water. Follow this path exclusively and turn right and you will see a waterfall. Follow further into the room hidden behind it.
Go down the stairs to the sewer basement and go to the only room in the southeast, where there will be the picture we need, which needs to be activated.
How to find an artist
After this, you need to find a way out of this location. In the southwest of this room there is a secret passage that can be opened by touching an empty wall. Exit through the opened door and follow the stream of water to the left until you find a stone coffin standing directly above the cliff. Approach it and select “Rest in a Coffin.”
A small cutscene will begin where the main character lies down in a coffin. After this, he will smoothly descend down, straight into the depths of Shadow Altus. After leaving the room, you will see another point of grace, “Castle Watering Place”.
Now you have to get to the travel point “Slope of the Toothed Mountain”, which can be found through the quest of Egon the Dragon King and the Dragon Priestess.
From the Jagged Mountain Slope teleport, head up, heading southwest. Reach the Spiritual Spring, which leads to the path to the top of the mountain.
But to get to the Stone Heart, you need to go not to the very top, but to get to the rock , located much lower, as shown in the screenshot.
Having jumped onto the rock, from afar you will be able to notice the chair and the artist sitting on it. Once you reach him, he will disappear, leaving behind the Stone Heart you need.

How to gain a female dragon form
You can gain a female dragon form by completing the quest of Dragon Priestess Florissax, which is also associated with Egon. You need to talk to the Priestess, and then find and destroy an ancient dragon named Bale the Terrible.

How to activate the dragon form
Action algorithm
Both dragon forms are activated in the same way: you just need to remove all the clothes from the character and only then will it be possible to use the dragon heart. It is not necessary to touch weapons and all talismans.
After taking off your clothes, find the Stone Heart or the Priestess's Heart in your inventory and click the “Apply” button.
At the same minute, your hero will receive a unique dragon form with increased resistance to any damage.
The character will remain in dragon form until the first death, but you can use dragon hearts an infinite number of times.
After activating the form, use the heart again to gain an additional boost, but only for one minute.
Differences between the skins
In addition to external differences, each form has some unique features.
The male form obtained using the Stone Heart increases the power of Dragon Sacrament Prayers, and also receives +50 to all resistances.
The female version of the form, obtained thanks to the Heart of the Priestess, enhances the Prayers of the dragon cult and adds +70 to the resistance.
