The end point of the quest “The Regrets of the Dread Wolf” in Dragon Age: The Veilguard is a conversation with a particle of the goddess Mythal. However, persuading Mythal to help you fight the gods will not be so easy. Only by persuading her will you be able to obtain an important item – Mythal's Essence.

All answer options in the dialogue with Mythal
After collecting the 5 necessary wolf statues, you will be able to see the hidden memories of Solas. Ultimately, you will have to find the main character of his memories – the goddess Mythal. Having met Morrigan at the Crossroads, you will have the opportunity to talk to the surviving part of Mythal and persuade her to help in the difficult fight against the gods.
How to Convince Mythal
At the beginning of your dialogue, you will be presented with two response options:
- You will not help us
- I need your help
In order for Mythal to voluntarily give you her essence, choose the second response option. After which the goddess will ask you to convince her that you really need help.
Then you will be presented with 5 response options. To continue the conversation with Mythal, choose any of them, except the option“Forget it. I will fight you”.
Answering one of the questions presented will not be enough. Next, you will again be offered a choice of 3 answers. One of them will be the best, one will be normal, and one will be the worst and will lead to an inevitable fight.
To persuade Mythal, you need to choose the best answers or at least the two bestand not a single bad one.
In the screenshots, we marked the best answers in green, the normal ones in yellow, and the bad ones in red.
We need to stop the filth
The best answer to this question will be the first option: “You fought the filth”. While the option that many can die will be normal. By blaming Mythal for the corruption that appeared because of her, you will provoke a fight.
We must stop the gods
“They betrayed you” will be the best answer that will satisfy Mythal and the conversation will continue. The option with the filth will be considered average, and the statement that you do not need gods will be the worst.
However, if you have completed all of Bellara's companion quests, you will have another option available to you “We stopped Anaris”. Using this option, you will force Mythal to immediately agree to your request for help.
Solas is helping me
After choosing this option, Mythal will ask you to answer what she should have done after Solas' betrayal. The winning option will be “She should have listened to him”. While the option with regret about what happened will be the worst. “Forget him” will also be a completely normal answer.
We Are Worthy of Help
In response to the fact that we protect innocent people, Mythal will ask to answer that such “protection”. Of the three options given, the best answer is “Create a safe place.” The line about destroying monsters will be the average answer, and “It means being like you” will lead to combat.
After you correctly answer all of Mythal's questions and convince her to help, you will receive her essence, which will be useful to you later. Along with this, you will acquire the unique weapon Light of Mythal, as well as her favor and 250 points of Veilwalker Power.
Fight with Mythal
To provoke a fight, in the dialogue itself, select the option “You you won't help”, or in the next dialogue select the answer “Forget. I will fight you.”.
After this, Mythal will take the form of a dragon and you will face a battle with Nemesis Mythal.
At the end of the battle, you will receive the essence of the goddess, 300 points of the Lords of Fortune Power, as well as some materials and valuables.
