In Genshin Impact, there are several ways to get to Natlan, which was added in update 5.0. Some of them are story-related, while others allow you to get to the Pyro region much earlier. In this guide, we will go over each method so that you can choose the option that suits you best.
How to get to Natlan
The first method: through the story
The easiest, but also the longest method. To use it, you will need to complete the quest chains of Mondstadt, Liyue, Inazuma, Sumeru, and Fontaine, fulfilling the following conditions:
- Obtain at least Adventure Rank 40. We have some useful tips on increasing it in a separate article.
- Complete the Archon quest “Bedtime Story”, which is the sixth chapter of the fourth story volume.
After this, you should have access to the quest “Flowers under the scorching sun”. At the very beginning of it, you will go to the port of Romarin, located in Fontaine, to say goodbye to your friends. Next, use the teleporter to the west of the Hadramawet Desert and begin progressing through the story to activate the first Pyro Archon Statue, so you can then move to the new area at any time.
Quick Start Function
You can use the new option to start this mission much earlier – to do this, you will only need to reach Adventure Rank 28 and complete the story quest “Approaching a New Star”. Note that this function will be available until the release of patch 6.0.
The second way: get to Natlan yourself
But what about beginners who have characters at their disposal, for the leveling of which local curiosities of Natlan are required? Fortunately, unlike Inazuma, you can get to this region almost at the very beginning of the game, and you do not even have to cover huge distances to do so.
The first thing you will need to do is complete the Archon quest called “Song of Dragon Freedom”. After that, a teleport will automatically unlock to the west of the Hadramawet Desert, moving to which will take you to the border between Sumeru and Natlan.
Next, start moving along the road to the west until you come to the settlement of the Children of Echoes. Continue heading west, climbing the stone steps to the top, and activate the statue of the seven Archons located here so that you can instantly teleport to the desired area in the future.
These are the two main ways you can easily get to Fontaine in Genshin Impact. There may be more ways to get to this area in the future, such as through Liyue.
