When playing the alternative version of Brookhaven Hospital, you can find a decorative box, located in the pharmacy on the first floor. Access to the pharmacy will be closed at first. You can get into it only after passing the basement of the alternative hospital. The box is not connected with the plot in any way and it is not necessary to open it, but it contains cartridges and syringes that may be useful in the future.
Decorative Box Code in Silent Hill 2
A hint to open the box can be heard during the elevator's movement to the basement (after getting the button from the box with chains). When you press the -1 button in the elevator, the radio starts playing, and the quiz host asks the protagonist to answer three questions related to Silent Hill. There are three possible answers to each question. The box code is the numbers of the correct answers.
Correct answers
- Q1: How many souls did the disease take? Answer: 67 (2).
- Q2: What is the name of this road? Answer: Wiltse Road (3).
- Q3: What was the name of the second victim, Billy's sister? Answer: Miriam (1).
After going down to the basement, go through it and up to the first floor by the stairs. After the Doctor's Room with the refrigerator, go to the Pharmacy (it will now be open).
The treasured box is on the table in the far corner Pharmacies. To open it, dial the code 231. Inside are two boxes of shotgun shells and two healing syringes.
Question Hints
The developers left hints for each question in the elevator quiz. The problem is that they are found long before the players get to the hospital, so it is difficult to remember them.
“In the early 19th century, a terrible disease spread in Silent Hill, taking the lives of many of its inhabitants. The bodies of the dead were thrown into the lake, where they found peace in an underwater grave. How many souls did the disease take?”
The hint for the first question is in Rosewater Park, where we first meet Maria. The number of people killed by the disease is indicated on the monument located on the pier.
In memory of the sixty-seven people who fell victim to the disease and now sleep at the bottom of the lake.
“A few years ago, a terrible murder occurred in Silent Hill. Two children, a brother and sister, were playing outside, where the killer attacked them and chopped them into pieces with an ax. The first victim was a boy named Billy Locane. What was the name of the second victim, Billy's sister?
The answer to the final quiz question is in apartment 112 of the Woodside apartment complex. On the kitchen table in this apartment is a newspaper describing the story of the murder of two children – Billy and Miriam Locane.
