In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2dice is a fascinating mini-game that allows you not only to have fun, but also to earn extra money or even complete a certain quest task. However, to enjoy the game, you first need to learn its rules and principles of victory.
In this guide, we will tell you how to win at dice, where to find opponents, what the plates are for and how to use them, as well as what dice exist in the game and where you can find the best of them.
How to Play and Win at Dice in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
Where to Find Dice Players
Everything is quite simple here, as dice tables are located in almost all more or less large settlements. Most often, they can be found in local taverns and inns (marked on the map as an icon with a foamy drink). Sometimes players can be found as part of story and side quests, for example, during the quest “Uninvited guests at a wedding” you can take part in a tournament and even win a gold plaque.
The approximate locations of all dice tables are shown in the images above. We also recommend that you check out our interactive map by selecting the “Dice Table” object to see the exact locations of players in the open world.
Choosing a game mode and dice
After finding the right character (in the tavern, players usually gather near the tables by 9 o'clock and leave only after the establishment closes), talk to him and offer him a game of dice. Then you need to choose a game mode (with or without a plaque) and make a bet depending on the wealth of your opponent.
If you have special dice in your inventory, an additional window will open where you can select dice for the upcoming game. If you do not select anything, you will automatically have standard dice in your hands.
Note that special dice can significantly increase your chances of winning, so you should take their acquisition seriously. You can steal these items from certain characters, find them on the corpses of bandits, buy them from merchants, or get them when completing certain missions. Below, we have examined all the existing dice in detail and suggested how to get the best of them.
Basic rules and combinations
The essence of the game is quite simple – you and your opponent take turns throwing dice, earning points when winning combinations and numbers appear. The one who first gets the required number of points (displayed in the lower left corner of the screen) wins. All combos are presented in the table below:
Combination | Points |
---|---|
1 | 100 |
5 | 50 |
1-2-3-4-5 | 500 |
2-3-4-5-6 | 750 |
1-2-3-4-5-6 | 1500 |
1-1-1 | 1000 |
2-2-2 | 200 |
3-3-3 | 300 |
4-4-4 | 400 |
5-5-5 | 500 |
6-6-6 | 600 |
1-1-1-1 | 2000 |
2-2-2-2 | 400 |
3-3-3-3 | 600 |
4-4-4-4 | 800 |
5-5-5-5 | 1000 |
6-6-6-6 | 1200 |
1-1-1-1-1 | 4000 |
2-2-2-2-2 | 800 |
3-3-3-3-3 | 1200 |
4-4-4-4-4 | 1600 |
5-5-5-5-5 | 2000 |
6-6-6-6-6 | 2400 |
1-1-1-1-1-1 | 8000 |
2-2-2-2-2-2 | 1600 |
3-3-3-3-3-3 | 2400 |
4-4-4-4-4-4 | 3200 |
5-5-5-5-5-5 | 4000 |
6-6-6-6-6-6 | 4800 |
After the throw, you need to mark all the dice (key “E”) that make up the combinations and put them aside. Then you have two options: write down the score and continue (i.e. make another throw with the remaining dice) or write down and pass the turn (i.e. take the points you got and watch your opponent's turn).
Note: If after the throw there are no combinations or winning numbers on the table, then you will fail and will not receive any points (those you got earlier within the current turn will also be cancelled).
This is where the risk in the game comes into play. Of course, if you get one “1” or “5”, then you should 100% continue throwing the dice in the hope of getting more points, and if you get, for example, four “3”, then it makes sense to write down the score and pass the turn to your opponent. But what if you scored a measly 100-200 points and can only re-roll 1-2 dice? It all depends on the circumstances.
Let's say your opponent has 50-100 points left to win. Then it's worth going all-in and throwing the remaining dice. You can also throw them if you use loaded dice, which have a high frequency of “1” and “5”. In other cases, we advise you not to take risks and pass the turn to your opponent.
Note: If you manage to mark all 6 dice in one round, you will be allowed to immediately roll all the dice again and start over.
Devil's Head
A unique value that sometimes appears on a number of special dice, replacing the 1. When dropped, it works as a “joker”, that is, it adds a value to any combination dropped.
For example, let's say you get 2-2-2 and a devil's head. In this case, you'll get 400 points instead of 200, since the joker will count as another 2. Remember to always mark all the dice you want with the E key, since the game doesn't automatically mark the dice.
Helpful Dice Tips
Surely you already understand that the fewer dice you have at your disposal, the lower the chance of getting good combinations in the future. Therefore, if, for example, you get two dice “5” on the first throw, you should not put both dice aside – take only one, so that on the next throw you can throw five dice, not four.
Keep an eye on the score – if you are significantly behind, then take risks more often, and if you are ahead of your opponent, then act more carefully. Plus, if you have earned only 100-200 points, then you can even throw three dice, since in case of failure it will not be a pity to lose them (of course, a lot depends on the current situation – if you have 300-400 units left before winning, then these points will also be important).
When choosing special dice, look at how they combine with each other. Of course, it is best to take identical dice so that you get combinations with the same numbers more often. However, you can also try to collect dice with different numbers. For example, take dice with an increased fall of “1”, “2”, “3”, “4” and “5” to regularly get 500 points.
Naturally, try to save before each dice game using the saving schnapps. In this case, you can easily reload the game if you lose a game and try again. If you want to always win in all games, then carefully study the section below, where we talk about getting the best dice in the game.

The Kingdom of Heaven Dice |
As you can see, not all special dice will be useful to the player, and some are no different from regular dice or, on the contrary, can even harm your game. Therefore, we will not consider finding absolutely all the dice, but simply indicate how you can quickly get the best of them and always win.
Note: Let us remind you that you can get any dice using cheats. In a separate guide, we have indicated the ID of all dice.
St. Antiochus Dice
The best dice in the game, as it is guaranteed to roll “3”, that is, with six such dice, you can get 2400 points in one throw, and then continue throwing endlessly until you get the desired amount. You can get the specified number of dice already in the first half of the game.
So, head to the tavern in Troskovitsa and find a man named Day Laborer at the gaming table. It is in his pockets that the coveted cube lies. You can, of course, try to rob him in broad daylight, but we do not advise you to do this, as you can easily be discovered.
So rent a room in the tavern (this is necessary so that you can freely walk around its interior at night), then scroll the time to midnight, enter the building, go forward a little, turn right and open the door. Then go up the stairs to the second floor, turn right and you will see the Day Laborer sleeping on the bed. Pickpocket him, taking the gold cube from his pocket.
Congratulations, you've got your first St. Antiochus Dice. But how do you get the remaining five dice? This is where it gets interesting – it turns out that this dice spawns at the Day Laborer every day. So you just need to repeat the above trick five more times, spending about one game week on it.
Charged Dice
If the above method seems too cheating to you, which can cause all the interest in the game to disappear, then we advise you to get charged dice, which simply give out “1” with a high chance, that is, you will still have a chance to lose to your opponent. You will also be able to get six dice almost at the very beginning.
Get to the enemy camp located west of the Gypsy Camp. Let's remember that this is where you stopped with your squad in the prologue. Let us warn you right away that this place has been chosen by bandits, so be careful. However, you don't have to fight them. You can walk along the edge of the pen on the left, keeping close to the cliff, and then find the entrance to the cave.
Inside a small cave, you will find a chest locked with a light lock. Open it and take the Charged Dice from it. Now you need to wait 7 in-game days until the bone respawns in the chest again. Note that there is a camp nearby where you can sleep. Bring plenty of food with you in advance.
Holy Trinity Dice
A less cheating die than the St. Antiochus Dice, since “3” only falls out with a probability of 45.4%. A good option for those who do not want to turn the mini-game into a win-win lottery. To get it, you need to meet a person with the following description during fast travel: “A strange man sits alone in a camp by the road. He has a forced smile on his face.”.
Be sure to stop and check out this stranger. You should see a camp set up by Gregorius. Talk to him and buy the Holy Trinity bone from the former monk for only 30-40 groschen. Note that you can meet this character several times, so you will be able to get six cubes.
Let's add that Gregorius appears with increased frequency during long journeys, for example, on the way from Troska Castle to the mill in Nizhny Semin and back.
What are badges for in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
Badges are special items that provide the player with certain active or passive skills that can significantly affect the outcome of the game if used correctly. They can be obtained during quests, bought from merchants or taken from opponents. There are three types of these badges (their properties are shown in the pictures below):
- Tin – Basic badges that can usually only be used once per game. They provide virtually no passive benefits that last the entire game.
- Silver – Average badges that can be used twice per game, and their bonuses will be better than those of the previous plaques.
- Gold – High-quality badges that can be used three times per game, providing significant benefits.
Note that the rarity of the plaque for both players must be the same, that is, if your opponent does not have a gold icon, then you will not be able to choose it either. Let us add that if, when specifying the bet, you select the option in which not only money is indicated, but also the word “icon”, then in case of victory you will take the opponent's plaque.
You will be able to select only one icon in the window that appears. Do not forget to use its skill during the game, as your opponent will certainly take advantage of it. In general, we recommend that you do not complicate the game with additional rules and always play without plaques, as this will not affect the amount of money you receive.
How to get the “Sparkle” achievement
If you want to unlock all the trophies in the game and get the platinum, you will have to get this achievement as well. The easiest way to do this is the following: during the quest “Uninvited guests at the wedding” take part in the dice tournament and beat all opponents, including the innkeeper Beta, to get the Golden Wedding Badge.
Now just continue to progress through the story until you reach Kutna Hora. Go to the tavern on the main square and find any player and offer to play with a badge. Then select the bet “Emperors! (300 and a badge)” and defeat your opponent to take his badge.
Note that if you have already completed the quest, you can buy a gold badge from the innkeeper in the above-mentioned tavern.
