In Genshin ImpactThe Iktomi Spirit Scrolls is the main event of Patch 5.2, taking place in Natlan. It will allow you to participate in various mini-games, earning Fume Crystals and receiving various rewards. The latter include the epic one-handed sword Eshu's Calamity and Primogems.
In this guide, you will be able to learn how to start this event and complete its challenges to receive all possible rewards. All activities are covered here or in separate guides, which are linked.
How to start the Iktomi Spirit Scrolls event
This event started on November 28, 2024 and will last until December 16, 03:59 AM. Before you can participate in it, you will need to meet a number of conditions, namely:
- Reach at least Adventure Rank 20. We have some recommendations on how to increase this in a separate article.
- Complete the story mission “Song of Dragon Freedom”.
- Complete the story quest “Rainbow Doomed to Burn” (optional).
The last task is optional, but it will allow you to delve deeper into the story that will be told during the event. You can skip this quest by using the “Quick Start” option in the event menu. Further content will be opened gradually in accordance with the schedule shown in the image below.
Event Quest Walkthrough
The event storyline consists of three chapters that will be unlocked gradually. Each stage will include a number of tasks.
Night Wind's Letter
Go to the place where Ororon lives – it is located just south of the settlement of the Lords of the Night Wind. Go to his house and talk to the young man. He will ask you for help. You will need to distract Sitlali, as she is not indifferent to the main character. After talking with him, jump off the cliff and go to the marker.
After listening to Ororon's funny suggestion, enter the cave. Continue moving deeper into the dungeon, going down to the very bottom. Then a cutscene will begin, during which you will meet Sitlali and learn that Layla's spirit cannot return to the body after the ritual. Then she will tell you her plan to save this person.
Weave a scroll at a spirit lathe
When you are ready, talk to Sitlali again. Next, you will need to complete the first challenge of the mini-game “Restoring Old Torn Records”. To do this, follow these steps:
- Place the neck fragment on the lower half of the blue area.
- Place the face fragment on the upper part of the neck area.
- Place the blue collar fragment on the lower part of the neck.
- Place the headdress fragment on the upper part of the face.
- Finally, place the amulet fragment on the upper part of the blue collar.
The entire process of solving the puzzle is demonstrated in the gif above. After completing the challenge, talk to Ororon and Sitlali again. This will end the quest.
All challenges of the event
In total, you will be able to participate in three exciting mini-games. Note that access to their various stages will open gradually.
Search for lost souls
In this challenge, you will work together with other players to guide wandering spirits to the Area of ​​their Return. However, as you progress through the levels, you will come across new levels, such as the Stone Shackles, Area of ​​Glorious Return, and Guiding Storm, each with its own mechanics and features.
Sometimes various buffs for collecting spirits will appear in the location. We recommend picking them up to increase the speed of movement or restore the heroes' stamina. Note that when collecting buffs, the scale of summoning spirits of the teams will increase. If it reaches the maximum, then the Moment of Summoning Spirits will be activated immediately, during which all members of the squad will constantly attract spirits to themselves.

Exorcism of Uninvited Guests
This is a combat test in which you need to complete certain goals to obtain useful effects that will help you fight more effectively. For example, you need to activate the Dispersion reaction 5 times and the Night Spirit Flash 1 time for the active character to start performing the Spirit Extermination attack, which deals area damage.
Storm of the Night Realm
It is best to use the Charged command. At the same time, do not forget to take an Anemo character and one Natlan in the squad to activate the banishing ritual and get the aura. The table below shows the optimal squads.

Note that if you do not have pumped Anemo heroes or Natlanians, you can still add them to the squad to fulfill the above conditions, while taking your most powerful characters as main DD and sub-DD. You may not get a gold medal, but you can definitely open silver (see the example in the video below).
Restoring old torn recordings
Use the Sitlali device to capture broken fragments. Collect them to restore the original appearance of the image. That is, we are talking about a kind of puzzle, where you will need to place fragments in an area in a certain sequence and position.
You will be able to adjust the relative position of layers, using overlapping, blocking, and other methods to return the overall picture to the desired state. We have covered all the puzzles in a separate guide.

Iktomi Spirit Search Scrolls Event Rewards
By completing the trials, you will receive various rewards, including mora, source stones, experience books, magic ore of enhancement, and other valuable materials for leveling up characters and weapons. Plus, you will accumulate Smoke Crystals, which you can exchange for additional rewards.
How to get Eshu's Calamity
You can get this 4-star one-handed sword by collecting the required number of Smoke Crystals – 200 pieces. This currency is given for completing the above challenges. To get the materials for awakening the blade, you will have to add four Odara Shuttles, earning a total of 1000 crystals.
