In Zenless Zone Zero, the Inserted Story of Chapter 2: Mission Unthinkable is an intermediate episode of the main storyline, during which you will meet the employees of the Special Criminal Investigation Department, conduct an investigation on Sixth Street, finding all the ducks, help Banbu change jobs and complete a couple of orders. Walkthrough of the quest “Inserted story of chapter 2: Mission impossible” in ZZZ
How to start the quest
It starts automatically once you complete the quest chain “Chapter 2: Sideshow”. To do this, you will need to talk to your sister/brother in the parking lot, who will talk to Nicole on the phone before that, and then sleep on the bed. The next morning, you decide to go to Lumina Square. Get in the minivan and choose the desired location.
Find a Parking Spot
After moving to a new area and talking to your sister/brother, start looking for a parking spot. To do this, you need to talk to two patrolmen: Banbu, standing near the crosswalk, and a young Security Service employee in the alley. However, you will not be able to find the information you need. Return to Belle and enter into dialogue with her again to start the cutscene.
Conduct an investigation on Sixth Street (where to find ducks)
After talking to Zhu Yuan and Qingyi (you can choose any answers, as they will only slightly change the dialogues), talk to your sister/brother near the car again. Then return to the video rental store and continue the conversation there. After a few days, agree to go to your new acquaintances with the completed questionnaire. As a result, you will enter hyperfocus mode.
Go outside and head towards the Toy Store to meet Zhu Yuan and Qingyi along the way. Agree to help them hand out questionnaires to their neighbors. They will all be highlighted with markers, but just in case, we will show their locations in the pictures below. At the end, you will talk to General Chop, who will explain why people do not want to go to the event.
After receiving this information, return to the detectives. During the conversation with them, some incident will occur. Go to the scene of the accident, located in the alley behind Inspector Meowchelo. After listening to all sides of the conflict, talk to Zhu Yuan again. Next, you will have to search for wild ducks.
First, go to the tuning shop and talk to Enzo. Next, fix the damaged Banba by connecting the chains as shown in the third picture below. Then examine the drink case to the left of the video rental entrance.
Now look around the minimarket, approaching the truck. At the end, head to the parking lot, where you will find the last duck. Talk to the cops again, and then interact with your car. Return to the scene. The cops will realize that someone used an EMP. Watch a funny cutscene.
Complete the “Invisible Helping Hand” quest
Zhu Yuan and Qingyi will go to the cavern, and you will decide to help them, which will lead to a new story mission. Interact with the HDD system, select the “Main Line” and find the task you need. Then start completing it. We have covered it in detail in a separate guide.
Complete the order “Finding a job is also a job”
After completing the order, go to the truck with your sister/brother, then rest on the bed and wait until the next day. Then Inspector Meowchelo will immediately contact you on the phone and ask you to meet him at Lumina Square. Move to the specified area and chat with the mascot.
He will ask you to help one of the Banbu working in the Security Service find him a new job. Go to the red line that marks the Crosswalk and interact with it. Agree to cross to the other side and run to the patrolman with a blue exclamation mark hanging above him – talk to him.
Now go to Dawn Dew and help KK pass the interview. He'll still fail, though. Then go to Uncle Dui, who also won't hire a Banba (you can choose any answers). Go to the Repair Zone of the Kazarok Street Construction Site and chat with Lee. Get on the lift behind him and go up. Go to the Malfunctioning Banba lying on the roof.
Repair the robot by rotating the modules correctly, and then go downstairs after talking to CC, and talk to the workers. Return to Lumina Square and talk to the patrolman again. This will complete his mission. At the end, chat with Inspector Meowchelo, which will unlock his tests in the specified area.
Fulfill the order “Dangerous Mission”
Return to the video store and talk to your sister/brother about the seminar. Then return to Lumina Square and run to the police station, the entrance to which is located to the right of Inspector Meowchel. Next, chat with Zhu Yuan and Qingyi. Then go to Belle and eavesdrop on the police conversation to receive the “Dangerous Task” order.
Return to video rental, interact with the HDD system and select the appropriate mission in the “Main Line”. Its passage is presented in our separate guide.
After completing the order, return to Lumina Square and meet the Security Service employees there. Chat with them and watch the new comic. Then you will return home and talk to your brother/sister. This will end the quest, and you will have access to the next mission – “Inserted Story of Chapter 2 – Interlude”.
