After completing the second act, we can visit “Zvonville” to take new tasks from the notice board. One of these assignments will be the quest “The Invisible Hunter”. As part of the task, you need to track down and kill the boss (Outcast Gurr), who stole the Gilly artifact. Next, you will learn how to complete the “Invisible Hunter” quest in Hollow Knight: Silksong – how to hunt down and kill Gurr.
Walkthrough the “Invisible Hunter” quest
Where to find Outcast Gurr
You can receive the quest only at the end of the game, but you can complete it even later. The fact is that to complete it you will need to obtain another skill – “Winging Silk”. Thanks to this, we will be able to penetrate a previously inaccessible area in the “Hunter’s Path” location, which leads to a large mine in the “Far Fields”. There you will find the first trace of the Outcast.
Although, even this can be skipped and go straight to the location of the last trace, which is indicated in the screenshots below. But in this case, having gone down to the lair, you will not be able to return back without the “Winging Silk” skill.
So, where to look for Outlaw Gurr? The announcement in “Ringing Villa” said about the Ringing Altar, which is located between the “Far Fields” and “Deep Docks” – it was there that the Invisible Hunter was last seen. We go to the “Bone” location and from here we move to the right area – straight to the “Hunter’s Path” territory.
Run through the thickets and get to the mine with air currents. Upstairs in the passage on the right we will come out to a large statue. Light falls from above – this is a tunnel. We use a super jump and find ourselves in a closed area.
Walk a little to the right and you will come across the first trace of the monster. Then we continue to follow the fleeing shadow, passing the red spikes under our feet. As a result, we will go to the neighboring location – “Far Fields”. Pull the lever along the way to open a quick passage to the lower levels.
We'll soon reach the second trail.
From here we continue to move to the right. The next trail can also be found on the balcony a little further.
We go down and find another trace on the bridge.
The latter will be located not far from here. As soon as you examine it, Hornet will fall into the cage and fall down.
Here the boss fight will begin – the Outcast Gurr.
How to defeat the Outcast
Gurr the outcast is the same invisible hunter, meeting whom should not be too difficult. He, like other bosses, is cyclical. That is, it is enough to learn his attacks in order to successfully deal damage at the right moment. His main feature is his spikes, which he will actively use throughout the arena.
Each change of position is accompanied by the appearance of spiky stripes, making maneuvering difficult. Your movements must be clear and precise. The Gurrah Rogue's attack types include quick thrusts and slow traps. He is capable of unexpectedly teleporting to different parts of the battlefield, leaving behind deadly trails.
The most inconvenient thing is the spiked traps that he leaves in the air. They noticeably restrict our movement and force us to exercise maximum care so as not to be under a crushing attack from Gurr.
When victory is behind you, pay attention to the left edge of the arena. Go there and go up to the bridge. In the corner there is a rag doll hanging on a rope that needs to be taken to Zvonville. As a reward we will receive the last fragment of the mask
