How to Get Night Jade Shards
Before you can get this stone, you will need to find 3 separate fragments. You can do this in the following way:
- Complete the world quest called “Revelations of the Past”. During it, you will come across a precious chest, in which the stone lies.
- Disable the machine in the Phlogiston Research Center, which is run by the Fatui. The complex is located in the southeastern part of Natlan. Doing this, you will receive a luxurious chest, in which the thing you need lies.
- Complete the mission “Returning Night to Night” and you will automatically receive another shard.
Once you collect all three pieces, you will unlock the “Offering to the Void” trophy, and the Night Jade will automatically appear in your inventory under the “Quest” category. It's time to take it to the altar.
What is Night Jade for
Travel to the southern teleporter of the Sacred Flame Stadium, then go to the southeastern edge of the cliff and jump down. Then glide to the circle of black monoliths located in the center of the river.
Go to this ritual place and touch it. Then present the previously received Night Jade. After this, a portal will appear that can transfer you to a new location. We advise you to prepare before this, as a difficult combat test awaits you later.
How to Complete the Night's Challenge Chamber in Natlan
Once you've entered the new area, head forward to the main hall where you'll see several chests of varying value. Go up to the Midnight Soul Spirit in the form of a cat sitting next to one of the chests and chat with it. Tell it that you're ready to fight to begin the trial.
Important: Dialogue with the cat is not possible if you have activated co-op mode, so first close the multiplayer if you do not have a spirit.
How to defeat the warriors of the Night Soul tribe
You will need to deal with 8 warriors of the Night Soul tribe in just 1 minute! Despite the fact that they look like spirits, they are actually just slightly strengthened Saurian warriors. Recall that they are weak to physical attacks and 10% resistance to any other elements. For this reason, almost any character will work against them.
At the same time, we recommend that you take damage dealers in your squad who can deal huge area damage with their skills or elemental explosions in order to hit all enemies at once. You should also take an Anemo character who can create a contraction (Venti, Kazuha, Lynette) so that you can group enemies in one place and hit them together.
Enemies are also capable of causing considerable damage, so we recommend that you take at least one healer or shielder. Don't forget that you can eat dishes that increase attack power, critical damage/crit chance, and defense.
Let's add that it seems that it is not necessary to destroy all enemies. Some players have noted that they were able to get chests and the “To Battle…” achievement by killing only 6-7 enemies instead of 8.
