Janus's Horse in HSR (Honkai: Star Rail) is a large wooden figurine of a horse on wheels and is found in several copies throughout Amphoraeus. Most of the horses are related to mini-quests, but there is also a special horse-trader, where you can spend Memory Shards.
In this guide, we will look at how to find all the wooden horses in Amphoreus, activate the store in Ochem, and collect all the rewards and hidden achievements.
Janus Horse in HSR: Why is it needed and how to find it
So, most of the Janus Horses are quest objects, after interaction with which unique events begin. Horses appear in the locations discussed below after completing the story stage of each large map. By the time of update 3.0, there are 4 of these horses on Amphoraeus.
Horse in Ochem (1)
The very first horse is located on the territory of the Marble Palace in Ochem, northwest of the “Court of the Three Seasons“. This horse will be marked on your map with a shop icon, because after meeting the merchant hiding inside, you will be able to spend Memory Shards here.
Janus's Horse in Ochem has two notable interactions:
- (Get Memory Shards) — this is a tab with goods, among which there are recipes, music records and “mysterious gifts”;
- «Are there other goods?» — this is a quest line, after which you must give 10 shards. There are no consequences for the choice yet, and the merchant will simply ask you to wait;
By purchasing “mysterious gifts” from the horse, you will receive:
- Big Mysterious Gift (for 15 shards) – a personal small chimera that will live in the Nameless room in the Marble Palace;
- Small Mysterious Gift (for 5 shards) – inflatable golden seals for decorating the bathhouse, also in the Nameless chambers.
When you first meet the horse in Ochem, you will unlock the unique hidden achievement “Absolutely Objective Memory“.
Horse in the Ruins of Discord (2)
The second horse will appear to the south of the Truce Hall Ruins in a castrum shrouded in Eternal Night. Move to the anchor opposite the Seamstress Aglaya's mark and run to the descent along the wide chain – it leads to the platform with the horse. This magical horse will not let you get into its belly, and during the dialogue it will tell you that it has arrived for the Festival of Kremnos. Having learned that the event will be over long ago, the horse will teleport to inspect the polis, and we will receive 15 ambrosia, 1 vessel of zlatius and the achievement “The Unchosen Path“.
Horse on the Bloody Battlefield (3)
The third horse is in the northeast of the Kremnos castura from the past: move to the Stone Workshop, then run along the long corridor around the corner from Seamstress Aglaya to get to the open area. Decide to climb into the horse, to become a participant in a small event: the warriors will carry away the horse figure, and when the movement stops, we will find ourselves in a stone quarry alone with a strange guard. The stranger will turn out to be an impostor, threatening the peace of the castrum. Further, your answers will determine whether the quest will be shorter or longer, but all forks will lead to the same rewards.
If after talking to the guard you did not receive the achievement and resources, look for the completion of the mission in the following three places:
- Near the Erinyes at the southern exit from the Hall of Discord (if the secretary was described);
- Near Ulysses in the northwest of the 1st floor of the Hall of Discord (if the instructor was described);
- Or in the box opposite the anchor in the north Paths of conquest (if the quartermaster was described).
Completing the event with the horse on the Battlefield will reward you with 15 ambrosia, 1 unfiltered ambrosia, and the achievement “Day of Deification“.
Horse in the Pool of Fate (4)
The fourth horse is to the right of the Gate of Eternal Sleep in the north of the Pool of Fate: go to the wooden demigod standing in a nook to the east of the Seamstress Aglaya's mark and climb into his belly. Then the main character will be drawn into a situation with a believer, and you will be able to get out to answer her prayers. As a result, the girl will leave, and you need to examine the horse again and “pick up the offerings», to get 15 ambrosia, 1 copy of geocrystal ore and the achievement «Feather in Hands».
All achievements for finding Janus horses on Amphoraeus
Finding all divine horses on Amphoraeus will result in receiving 4 achievements from the collection «Our Memories»:
- «Absolutely objective memory» (+5 jade) — awarded for the first interaction with the horse in Ohem;
- «The Path Unchosen» (+5 jade) — received for participating in the event with the horse in the Ruins of Discord;
- «Day of Deification» (+5 jade) — unlocked after completing the mini-quest with the wooden horse on the Battlefield;
- «A Feather in Hands» (+5 jade) — awarded after participating in the event with the horse and the offering in the Pool of Fate.
