How to get Kharod in Stalker 2
Kharod is a reliable assault rifle that provides the player with high speed and shooting accuracy, combined with a good degree of penetration. This weapon will be effective both against heavily armored enemies and in combat with entire groups of opponents.
You can buy this rifle from merchants in Pripyat and Yanov for a fairly high price.
There is also a free option in the game to get a copy of Kharod, which we will discuss in detail below.
Cache under platinum in Yantar
The desired item is in the bunker in the northwest in the Yantar region. Get to the parked old cars and jump onto the bus along the roofs. Go to the front of the bus, located on the very edge of the dam, and use a grenade to clear the area below from a swarm of rats.
Jump down, open the door and collect all available supplies from the shelves and boxes. The rifle itself will be behind the door, password protected. You can find the code for the door in Yantar, as well as all other passwords for safes and locks, in our separate guide.
Once the door is unlocked, you will find Kharod inside on a rusty rack.
How to find blueprints for upgrading Kharod
Blueprint for installing a balance beam
To find one of the flash drives with blueprints for upgrading the Kharod rifle, you will have to get to the north of the Kordon region.
Get to the Far Outpost locationand approach the red brick building. Follow the right, straight into the passage between the house and the wall. Deactivate the tripwire and behind the wooden containers you will find a cache with this drawing.
Blueprint for rubberized coating
You will find the last blueprint for the Kharod rifle in the Yantar region, inside the Crack location.
From the beginning of the pit full of poisonous gas, go left to the abandoned car and go down the ledges. Run forward until you reach a stone blocking the road. Climb onto it and next to the stalker's body, in the bag you will find a blueprint for rubberized coating.
How to improve the Kharod rifle
You can only improve this weapon at Harpy. Go to the base in Yanov and find the local technician, in the room next to your bed and stash.
Modifications for Kharod
Enlarged magazine
To find the only modification for this rifle, get to the southeastern shore in Zaton. In the “Fisherman's Wharf” location, you will find an extended magazine in a bag located in a small wooden house.
This store is also suitable for the Fora-221 assault rifle.
There is also a second way to get this magazine. Go to the Swamps region and find a house with bubbles north of Clear Sky.
Climb inside and turn into the room with wooden boxes. Follow the dead end and break the boards above the bag in which the extended magazine will be hidden.
Additional modifications for Kharod
