In Genshin Impact The “Law of Borders” quest is part of the Witches’ Lessons series and reveals to the player the mechanics of Sucrose’s “Witchcraft”. In this guide, we will go step by step through all the stages of Albedo's assistant's experiment, explain how to achieve 100% mixability of the potion and evaluate the results that tests with growth extract lead to.
Walking through the quest “Lessons of the Witches: Flowers from Fairyland” (Law of Borders)
If there is no quest in the journal, complete “An Unexpected Assignment” – it opens access to the “Little Witch's Dictionary” tool (extended explanations and walkthrough of the accompanying mission are indicated in the general guide).
After receiving the dictionary, open it through Inventory, find the Sucrose icon and start her witch lesson.
Visit the alchemy workbench in Mondstadt
Go to the trading area in the main city of Anemo in the region and talk to Sucrose, standing at the cauldron near the alchemy workbench. The researcher is already working on the Sabbat's task – making a growth potion. But all the resulting samples, despite the ideal formula, turn out to be non-working, so the heroes decide to help their friend with the 7th version of the elixir.
Defeat the Eye of the Storm in the Valley of the Wind
Next, move to the statue of Anemo Archon in the Valley of the Wind and fight the Eye of the Storm (in the battle, Sucrose will become the 5th companion) – from it we will receive one of the key fragments of the growth potion.
Get water in Springvale
Then move to Springvale, which is west of the battle with the Eye of the Storm, and scoop up the purest water from the spring in the center of the settlement.
Return to the alchemy workbench and mix the potion
Having collected all the missing components of the elixir, return to the Sucrose cauldron and combine them together – to do this you will have to go through a mini-game. To achieve 100% mixability, try to cover as much area as possible with the parts. It is not necessary to fill in all the empty squares. Just follow the scale above or use the example placement from our screenshot above.
Visit Dragonspine
The final stage of the experiment – testing the finished potion – will take place in the arena northwest of Cryo Hypostasis, on Dragon Ridge. Before you approach, make sure that your team has sufficiently leveled up heroes, because after the dialogue with Sucrose there will be a battle.
Defeat the Oversized Jumper
The elixir unexpectedly led to the growth of an Oversized Jumper, which we will have to tame. Despite its size, an overgrown mob is not dangerous and has a small HP reserve.
In the final dialogue, Sucrose agrees with the end of the experiment, although she notes that the data obtained raise even more questions. She also promises to give you the sugar nectar extracted from the samples. At this point, the mission is considered completed.
Buff “Witch's Eve Ritual: Sevenfold Transmutation”
The “Sevenfold Transmutation” effect works for Sucrose exclusively as part of a group where the resonance of the Secret Rite is activated (two or more Sabbat characters).
