Light, camera, motor in Genshin Impact: where to place the bait and barrel

In Genshin Impact“Lights, Camera, Action!” is an independent part of the mini-quest series “In the Footsteps of the Dragon's Chosen” and one of the hidden world quests of the Pyro region. On the southern half of the plateau, divided by the ravine of the Children of the Echo tribe, you can stumble upon the impromptu film set of Akatang, an aspiring director offering the lead role to our Saurian companion. From this guide, you will learn how to join the filming, correctly place all the props and get the decor item “Mighty Fireball”.

All missions from the “In the Footsteps of the Dragon's Chosen” chain are available only if you complete the quest “Lost Children of the Forest”. They are not connected with other assignments or with each other.

How to Start and Complete the Quest “Lights, Camera, Action!”

At least Adventure Rank 28 is required to complete the quest, but if the camera with the mission marker still hasn't appeared, complete the story mission “Approaching a Nova”.

To quickly climb to the desired place, move to the statue of the Archon near the settlement of the Children of Echoes, find a large geo dragon in the bushes near the cliff and change your appearance to it. Then run to the left and enter the molten crack, which will switch the ascent to the mountain to automatic mode. On the plain above, move to the camera with a tripod, above which hangs a quest mark.

This filming location belongs to Akatanga, a director who wants to promote cinema in Natlan. Due to a quarrel with a colleague, the man lost the main actor-saurian, and now offers this role to our little companion.

Place the barrel and bait in suitable places

Before starting the filming process, you need to place the props: a barrel and an elemental bait. For a more convenient view of the site, the angle of our camera will automatically rise up. First, go to the light beacon in the right upper corner and place the barrel there, and then to the mark in the center on the right – here we place the bait (see the screenshot with a hint above).

Stand in the indicated place

Now we return to the director and receive the following pair of instructions: the protagonist goes to the center of the stage on his own, and we should approach the elemental bait in order to control the action scene with the barrel later. Make sure to take your position in the northern part of the area.

Bring the electro slime to the barrel and blow it up

After a few staged shots with the appearance of the main enemy, we will be given control of the character: approach the barrel, leading the electric slime, and then destroy the props. To make everything safer, use an attack under a shield or from a distance, the main thing is to lure the monster to the explosion.

This is where the filming process ends. The team decides to review the collected materials, but discovers that Akatanga was filming himself all this time, not the actors. Behind the scenes, they have to repeat the entire scenario for the second time, but this time successfully. After completing the mission, we will receive 20 Primogems, 150 Adventure Experience Points, 25 thousand Mora, as well as a painting to decorate the Teapot of Serenity – “Mighty Fireball“.
