In Zenless Zone Zero, Watching Friends is a Patch 1.0 event where you fight Etheryls, solve riddles, and search for Banbu to earn various rewards, including Polychromes, Dennys, upgrade materials, and Lucky. In this guide, we will tell you how to start the event and give the correct answers to all questions.
How to start the “Babysitting Friends” event in ZZZ
This event started on July 15, 2024 in 10:00 server time, and it will end on August 5 at 03:59 am. However, before you can take part in it, you will need to meet a couple of conditions, namely:
- Get at least Internot level 30.
- Take up walkthrough of chapter 2 interlude insert story.
Once you've met the above requirements, you should automatically receive the first mission of the event called “Babysitting I”. If this does not happen, then go to the events menu, open the desired tab, and then click on the “Go” button to begin the corresponding quest. We would like to add that the following stages will open gradually.
Friend Watching I
After taking on the new quest, head to the video store and talk to Eos, who will have an exclamation mark hanging over his head. Then talk to your sister/brother to learn about the strange things happening in the parking lot. You will also receive a new combat mission, “Unexpected Order: Meeting at the Parking Lot.”
How to complete “Unexpected Order: meeting at the parking lot”
Interact with the HDD system in your account, then click on the gold icon in the lower right corner of the screen and you will immediately be taken to the event menu. Select the desired order and select a squad. Mostly you will have to fight with Satyrs and Alpecs, so we recommend taking ice and ethereal characters.
Once you've dealt with the first group of enemies, go down and check the suspicious coordinates next to the crates, then continue down to the next marker, where you won't find anything either. Turn around, go up a little and go into the arena ahead. A new battle will begin here.
Basically, you will be confronted by ordinary mobs, with whom you should not have any problems. Having dealt with them, go further and enter the room on the right to find the customer's Video Camera. Then interact with the control panel on the left to complete the order. As a result, you will receive 10 thousand money and materials for upgrading agents.
Where to find Amillion's “friend”
After completing the mission, exit the HDD system, which will immediately lead to a new conversation with Eos. Then go to the door and go outside, where you will meet Amillion. Chat with him and agree to help him find a friend. He will give you Crumpled Drawing I, which shows the location of the desired banbu.
Move to the Construction Site location on Kazarok Street, choosing Inspector Myauchelo as the starting point.” Once in the new area, climb onto the lift on the right side of the mascot. When you go upstairs, turn right and you will see Lucky in front of you – talk to him.
Now return to the parking lot near the video store and talk with the Banbu gathered here. You will receive a new order “Banboo Meeting: Sixth Street”. To complete it you will need to complete two tasks.
How to perform ambush training
Exit the parking lot onto Sixth Street and then head to the toy store that sells amplifiers. Before reaching it, interact with the “Banbu Gathering” marker, and then select the “Start Ambush Training” option.

You have to carefully examine the location, moving the camera in different directions to find all the hidden banbu. Remember their number. When the time is up, you will be asked: “How many baby banboos are hiding in ambush?” Correct answer: 8.
How to take a holiday photo
Interact with the Banbu Gathering sign again and now select the photo option. You will need to set the correct angle to complete all the conditions of the challenge:
- A million on top of the ice cream.
- Sumobu is standing to the left of Pingwibu.
- The lucky one is completely located in the frame.
The image above shows the correct angle in which all banbu requirements are met (the message “Target Detected” should appear next to the lens icon). Now just take a photo.
Return to the parking lot and listen to the Banbu's conversation. After that, enter the video store and talk to your sister/brother. This will conclude the first part of the event. As a reward, you will receive a 4-star Banboo named Lucky.
Friend Watching II
How to complete Elder Responsibilities: Return of the Banboo
On the second day go to the parking lot to find out what kind of strange noise is coming from it. Here you will find Eos and Amillion – chat with the latter to receive a new combat order.
Return to the video store, interact with the HDD system, go to the event page and take on a new quest. Here you will mainly fight Alpeks and Satyrs, so we advise you to take ice and ethereal characters.
Walk forward and pull the lever to remove the carriages and unblock the passage. Go to the other side and deal with the group of satyrs. Then interact with the second lever and deal with several more opponents.
After destroying them, start running after the golden banbu, following the path of gold coins. When you go upstairs, you will find I-Away-Away. Chat with him to complete this order.
Where to Find None of Your Business in Lumina Plaza
Exit the HDD and return to the parking lot to escort the baby to Amillion. This will give you Crumpled Drawing II, which shows the location of the None of Your Business banbu.
Open the map and teleport to the “Koff-cafe” point in the Lumina Square location. Then turn right and go up the stairs. You will immediately see the desired Banbu in a shark costume in front of you. Chat with him, and then take him to the other kids in the parking lot and listen to their conversation. Return to the video rental and talk to Eos and the sister/brother.
Complete the ambush training
A new task “Meeting the Banbu: Lumina Square” will appear in your diary. Start tracking him, and then move to the Newsstand located in Lumina Square. Turn around and interact with the large figure lying on the paving stones. Select the “Start Ambush Training” option.
Just like the previous day, you will need to take a good look around the location, find all the banbu and remember their number. When the time is up, you will be asked: “How many baby banbu are hiding in ambush?” The correct answer is: 16.
How to take holiday photos
Interact again with the “Gathering of Banbu” inscription and now select the photo option. You will need to adjust the angle correctly to fulfill all the conditions of the challenge:
- Avokabu wants to stand closer to Amillion.
- Lucky wants to be in the very left corner of the photo.
