Genshin Impact Magma Dune is a pyramid in the Sumeru desert area that hides many mysteries and treasures. In this guide, we will tell you how to find all underground teleportation points, visit blocked rooms and collect valuable items in the vicinity of the pyramid.
How to get to Magma Dune
Go to the southern part of the desert. On the surface next to the dune is a teleportation point that can be activated without additional conditions. However, it is not possible to visit the pyramid itself until after completing the “Golden Land of Dreams” questline
Go inside the pyramid; in the center you will see a door, and on either side of it are transparent barriers. Provided that you have completed the Golden Dreamland and received the first level of power, these barriers will be highlighted in blue and will be easily removed by interacting with nearby stands.
Deactivate both barriers and move on on the right side.
Climb the stairs, and then go all the way to the left along the corridor. You will exit into a room with a descent down, where a primordial spark will be located on your left hand.
You have to bring her to the primordial torch at the locked door. Activate the spark and gently guide it down the slope when the fan blades stop working. Keep following the spark until it ascends the torch and opens the center passage.
Also note the time trial next to the fan. To complete it and get a regular chest, you need to collect 18 green particles in 60 seconds.

Amazing chest and primordial torches
Pass into the opened passage, along the way picking up the primordial luminary – an inverted blue pyramid. Move it down and place the luminary on the square stone so that a cell of truth appears in its place.
After touching the cage above the head of the active character, a primordial root will appear. While it is active, walk near the four translucent torches to make them visible.
After that, light each torch, to unlock an amazing chest. Inside it, in addition to five primogems, there will be a drawing “Desert Table: Consciousness”.
Descending into the cave under the Magma Dune
Next to one of the torches located at the roots of the tree, you can go down into underground caves. At the bottom you will see a regular chest guarded by moulds, and a fairy that can guide you further through the maze.
Soon you will find yourself in a more spacious cave where you can activate a teleportation point.
Pay attention to the right side at the foot of the stairs – there is a passage to the lower level of the caves.
Jump into the hole behind the hilichurl. Below you will see the primordial spark. It must be carried out along a direct route to the torch so that the water level in the hall decreases and access to the continuation of the cave opens.
Pyro monument puzzle by stairs
The solution to this puzzle is to move the light guide cells almost simultaneously. Team up with Pyro Shooter in advance. Stand as shown in the screenshot so that the camera captures the fast movement of the four leaf symbols. Move the square and quickly move to the opposite side to move the square behind the sphinx statue.
The cells will move to the correct position and unlock the monuments. Quickly activate them with a Pyro element until the mechanisms return to their original position. This way you unlock a rich chest.
Temple north of Magma Dune
Note the northern passage from the central cave with the teleportation point previously indicated. The tunnel will lead you to another underground temple, on the lower floor of which a puzzle with cells awaits you.
You need to make two light beams activate diagonally from the spark candlestick. However, it is worth considering that the cells that activated the beam are not in the same position all the time, so you will have to move two mechanisms at once.
First you need to make sure that the two lenses are opposite each other at the blocked candlestick for the spark. Both lenses should move in opposite directions – if not, just move the lens from side to side.
< p> Next, move the lenses so that they hold two beams. After this action, a primordial spark will appear on your candlestick.
Swipe the spark to the corresponding lantern to activate another symbol on your power slab.
The temple northwest of Magma Dune and the “How to write a dig report?” achievement

In this temple, you can also get some treasures and get the achievement “How to write a report on the excavation?”. Run to him from the ground teleport at the entrance to the main temple. Work your way inward until you reach a lift plate and a group of deserters nestled next to it.
Defeat your enemies and get to the solution puzzles. You need to rotate the cage as shown in the screenshot below: this will help ignite the beam, and unlock the passage to the stove, which will drop you down a level.
In the new room, break the vase, to make another lens appear.
Rotate the cage so the beam is on the candlestick for the primordial spark.
Aim the beam at another lens to unlock the door. Behind it will be a constantly running fan; to turn it off and let the spark pass, point the beam at the lens behind the broken vase.
Wipe a spark to its lantern to get a regular chest and a blue prism. Place the prism on the adjacent square tile.
In the new room, aim the beam at the lens you just passed. This will unlock the lifting plate.
Climb up to the floor above, raise the blue prism and unlock the door with the wall mechanism. Just outside the door is a slab that, under the influence of a prism, will unlock the primordial spark.
Follow the spark one level down and bring it to the primordial torch.
From the room with the Primordial Lanterns, take the stairs up to find another Primordial Spark. Bring it back to the lantern.
After all the lanterns are lit, you will receive a rich chest and access to another room.
Go down the hole where the hermits are standing.
Defeat a few pristine constructs to unlock a precious chest.
Climb up using the lift plate that opens.
Go to the end of the corridor and open the door from the ruins with the mechanism, to get the “How to write a dig report?” achievement.
Locations of Dendrocules in the Magma Dune area
The map shows places where four Dendrocules can be collected. Keep in mind that in order to access the latter, you need to complete the Double Proof quest.
The first Dendroculus is suspended in a cave that can be descended from an amazing chest.
The second Dendroculus is located in the cave with the first underground teleportation point.
The third Dendroculus can be found by going northwest from the previous underground teleportation point and climbing onto the hat of a large mushroom.

You will find the fourth Dendroculus at the very end of the exploration of the ruins southwest of Magma Dune.

All five tablets are marked in the screenshot below.
The first tablet is next to the fan inside the pyramid.
The second tablet is located under the first dendrocule, next to two molds.
The third tablet is in a cave with an underground teleportation point next to the hourglass.
The fourth tablet is on the left side of the stairs next to the original cell.
The fifth tablet can be found in a cave with large mushrooms.
