The task seems extremely simple: find the chest and take it out. But in practice, many players are faced with the fact that the quest does not count even after interacting with the object.
No special items are needed to complete the task. The main thing is to leave some space in your inventory and be ready for PvP: the Residence area is often occupied by other raiders.
Where is the Residence? “Ruby”
Location: northwest Battlefields at the Dam. The complex is visible from afar, these are tall red buildings that stand out against the background of gray structures around.
You can get inside through the main entrance or through broken windows on the lower floors.
We go up to the major's apartment
Your goal is the third floor of the left red building. Climb the main stairs and look for a room with large windows through which you can see the courtyard.
Next move towards the kitchen and then into the small bedroom. On the table by the window there is a box with Major Quince's personal belongings.
Bug when picking up a chest
Many players encounter a bug: after interacting with the box, a “pass the chest” mark appears, but when you exit to Speranza, the progress is reset.
To avoid this, do the following:
- Go to the table.
- Stand on the table in the corner, as close to the box as possible.
- After that pick up the chest, it will go into your inventory correctly.
Now all that remains is to put the chest in the secret pocket and go to the evacuation point to return to Speranza and talk with Tian Wen. After transferring the item, the quest ends without additional actions.
