In Honkai: Star Rail, Man is a Dog's Friend: Difficulty II is the second stage of the Combat Reconnaissance challenge in the Isolated Zone, unlocked during the Crown of Mortal and Divine story campaign. The pioneer and Pippi continue their investigation into the disappearance of a valuable curiosity. Walkthrough of “Man is a Dog’s Friend: Difficulty II”

The little robot in charge of the challenge is still waiting for you in the Isolated Zone, on the territory of the Ruan Mei nursery. Familiarize yourself with the objectives of the stealth quest and select a squad for a single battle.
Follow Pippi
This time we start straight away with Pippi. In the starting dialogue, the dog again asks to connect to the speech beacon, and then encourages you to run after it: follow your companion to the room with the combat test.
One of the monsters of the Antimatter Legion squeezed a baby created by Ruan Mei – defeat all opponents and talk to the exotic pet.
Continue searching for the relic and learn about the strange butler
The rescued creature will tell the detectives about the strange butler who is involved in the disappearance of the valuables. After the conversation, run into the passage in the west, and from there to the nearest turn to the left.
Ahead there will be the first jammed door, which only Peppy can overcome. We connect to the synchronization mechanism with the pet and climb into the narrow passage.
Pave the way along the energy plates
Run straight to the puzzle area: just like in the first level, you need to make a continuous route, hitting all the energy plates. There are many solutions, and we showed one of them in the screenshot above.

Behind the puzzle there is another exotic animal, after a conversation with which we can continue our search.
Continue the investigation and collect the challenge objectives
Returning control of the character, follow the quest mark to the second jammed passage. After interacting with the door, we switch back to Pippi and begin the stealth mission. For convenience, we will place a map below with the collection route.
The first crane will be right in front of the entrance to the zone, and the second will be a little further along path. There is also a patrol monster walking around here, you can hide from him behind a bunch of steel cylinders before turning to the central bridge.
Run along the central pavement, picking up two more cranes along the way, and then turn right.
Follow until the turn to the next goal, and from there straight to the jammed opening in the west cards – in front of it, pick up another paper crane.
Be careful: there is a monster walking behind the door, which can even notice you from there.
Inside, carefully run to the crane hovering near the second bunch of cylinders. Then get to the frightened exotic animal trembling in front of the passage in the north of the zone. Ask him for details about the butler and turn right into the corridor.
The last crane is located in front of the entrance to the littered room in the north-west of the map – select trophy and run forward.
Talk to the last exotic pet
The final location of the challenge is filled with various obstacles: go around the rubble on the left side and interrogate the hiding one pink animal. The detectives will learn the latest information about the potential kidnapper and the task will be completed.

After successfully completing the Combat Reconnaissance “Man is a Dog’s Friend II”, you will be given 30 star jade, 40 thousand credits and 4 units of experience logs, relic fragments and universal material for pumping up cones.
