In Honkai: Star Rail, Man is a Dog's Friend: Difficulty I is one of the levels of the Combat Reconnaissance challenge located in the Isolated Zone. Help the Hertha space station's favorite employee, Pippi, find the missing treasure and complete a stealth quest to collect paper cranes and Ruan Mei's creations. How to open the challenge
As you progress through the Crown of Mortal and Divine story campaign, you gain access to the Furnace of Life, a unique device for creating bizarre creatures owned by Ruan Mei.
By raising pets, you level up your Research Level: reach level four and complete the adventure mission “Hunting Exotic Pets: Caring.” Then a quest from the same series, “The Adventures of Detective Pippi,” will appear in the list of tasks – the path to opening the Combat Intelligence “Man is a Dog’s Friend” begins with it.
Move to the map of the Isolated Zone to a safe area with artificial plantations Ruan Mei and talk to the floating robot – you can get to the challenge menu from it.
Help Peppy find the lost relic
When entering the test area, the first thing you need to do is save the dog Pippi. The pet stands to the right of the door in the starting room. Peppy is blocked by the monster, so after a short dialogue scene, a battle will begin (the only one in the entire level).
After the fight, Pippi will ask the savior to touch the device on the collar and we will be able to understand his speech. The dog senses the missing value of the Happiness Filter Kit, and our task is simply to follow the big-eared detective.
The detectives will run into a jammed passage, upon inspection of which it becomes clear that only ours can get through four-legged companion. In a conversation with the dog, select “Go to synchronization mode” – after this the GG will gain “control” over Pippi.
How to find paper cranes and the creation of Ruan Mei
Controlling Pippi, we need to collect all the blue cranes, save the living dumpling created by Ruan Mei and catch the culprit behind the loss of the relic – and at the same time, carefully avoid the mobs. Below we have compiled a map of the route for collecting all the targets.
To successfully complete the stealth mission, Peppy must not come into view of enemies more than 5 times. And if the monsters aggro against the dog, you will be rolled back to the last autosave marker.
We will find the first two cranes on the pavement in the eastern half of the map (where we start) : They meet along the path to the right, all the way to a circular platform with a work area.
Then go left: in the center of the explored area, enemy mobs walk along a circular path, and We need to stay out of their sight as much as possible. From the place with the second crane, run in a circle to the left.
Whenever possible, hide behind cover and try to move when the monster has turned away or is moving in the other direction. Don't forget about acceleration (RMB on a computer).
Having reached the round area in the lower left corner of the map, wait for the right moment and run safely to to another crane. After picking up the trophy, go back and continue moving in a circle to the left.
All that remains is to carefully run through the round area in the northwest and straight through the door to the research area (focus on the marker beam) – this is the end of the open area at the station.
Passing the technical room with the quest mark, run into the corridor to the right: there is another crane, past which a mob is wandering (try to remain unnoticed).
The last two cranes and Ruan Mei's frightened creation are hiding in a room in the north-west of the map (i.e. to the right along the corridor from the previous paper trophy). Be careful: the mob that patrols the room comes right to the entrance. Collect the first crane near the tables to the right of the entrance, talk to the living dumpling, and then quickly run to the last crane in front of the opening to the west – this will complete all the objectives.
Solve the pressure plate puzzle
Go to the room in front of which the last crane was. There is a puzzle here with energy platforms that you need to walk across in the correct order. There are several possible solutions, and we showed one of them in the screenshot above. Finally, talk to the relic thief – this will complete the test.
