Mavuika in Genshin Impact: Guide to the Best Build

In Genshin Impact, Mavuika is a 5-star character who belongs to the Pyro element and uses a two-handed sword in battles. In a team, she can act as a primary or secondary damage dealer, dealing massive fire damage directly or from the pocket. In this guide you will be able to learn about her best build, weapons and artifacts, as well as recommended squads with her.

Note: Pyro Archon has not yet been officially released, so the information provided here is based on information obtained during beta testing. We will update the guide if necessary when the heroine is released in the game.

Main Features of Mavuika

How to Get Mavuika

In the first phase of update 5.3, Pyro Archon will finally appear in the banner, which will increase the chance of her dropping. In the future, this character can only be obtained through Prayers. Unfortunately, HoYoverse has never held an event that rewards a 5-star event fighter, so you definitely won't be able to get Invincible Sun for free.

Mavuiki's Abilities

Basic Attacks “Life is Weaved from Fire”

The heroine swings her sword up to 4 times, and when charged, she unleashes an incredibly powerful Blazing Light strike in front of her, consuming a certain amount of stamina. When performing a falling attack, she immediately rushes to the ground, hitting all enemies in her path, and after landing, deals damage to the area.

Explanation: Even if you use Pyro Archon as an active damage dealer, you will rarely use these attacks, because their multipliers are even lower than Diluc's.

Elemental skill “Name Instant”

The heroine summons the All-Fire Weapon (its shape changes depending on how long she presses the skill button) and deals Pyro damage with the Night Spirit property. She restores ND points to the maximum value and enters the Night Spirit Blessing mode.

When quickly pressed, the All-Fire Weapon appears in the form of Rings of Incinerating Glitter, which move behind the active hero and periodically hit nearby enemies, dealing fire damage with the ND property.

When pressed for long, the All-Fire Armament appears as a Flame Cycle, allowing Mavuika to move at high speeds and even cross different types of terrain and hover above the ground for a short period of time thanks to the backup module. In addition, her normal, charged, and falling attacks begin to deal Pyro damage with the ND property, which cannot be canceled by other infusions. While sprinting, she also deals Fire Damage to all enemies in her path.

While in the Blessed state, you can quickly press the skill button to change the type of All-Fire Armament. It will disappear once Mavuika exits the said mode, which consumes Night Spirit points according to the All-Fire Armament form.

Explanation: Pyro Archon's key ability, so let's look at it in as much detail as possible. It first deals minor Pyro damage, and then activates one of the two forms of Night Spirit Blessing, immediately gaining 80 ND (if there are no constellations).

Quick Press Formis designed to deal damage from the pocket. In this case, a fiery ring appears behind the active fighter, which deals Pyro damage to all mobs within a 6 meter radius every 2 seconds. Its duration depends on the number of Night Spirit points available.

Let's remember that 5 points are spent on their own every second, and another 3 points will disappear for each hit. As a result, already on the 6th attack (or 12th second) you will spend 78 (12*5+3*6) points out of 80. The remaining 2 points will give another 0.4 seconds, so the duration of the E-shka will be 12.4 seconds in total. Let's add that the All-Fire Armament does not have a cooldown on the application, that is, it will impose the Pyro status every 2 seconds without any conditions.

If we compare Mavuika with Xiangling in the context of sub-DD, the former will still be better, since its attack radius is higher (6 meters versus 3), its duration is longer (12.4 seconds versus 10; if we take C0), the cooldown is lower (15 seconds versus 20) and it does not require energy (you can spend more effort on increasing damage). True, the application speed of Pyro Archon will still be slower (2 seconds versus 1.5), but in most squads this is almost unnoticeable.

On the other hand, if you already have Xiangling, at least with the 4th Constellation and there is only one team for her, then there is no point in spinning Mavuika, because the latter, although stronger, is not much ahead of the chef from Liyue. But what if you need an active damage dealer? Then let's study the following form of E-shki.

Long press formis intended for active DD, since pocket damage disappears, and basic attacks begin to inflict Pyro damage, and with the multipliers already specified in E. But they are not very high without the action of the explosion of the elements. Thus, you should switch to this mode only under the ult or to destroy some weak enemies.

Let's add that it is great for moving around Natlan, as it allows you to cover long distances extremely quickly, as well as ride on water, climb rocks, and even fly. Outside this region, the motorcycle turns into an ordinary decorative transport, since at C0 you can ride on water for no more than 3 seconds, and on mountains – and only 1 second.

Blast of the elements “Hour of Blazing Skies”

The ult does not depend on energy, but on Fighting Spirit. Having accumulated at least 50% of this parameter, Mavuika completely spends all points and activates an elemental explosion. Fighting Spirit is accumulated as follows:

  • By team members spending Night Spirit points during battle, which will be converted into Pyro Archon's Fighting Spirit.
  • By defeating enemies with normal attacks by squad members – they give 1.5 units of Fighting Spirit no more than once every 0.1 seconds.

After activating the Ultimate, the heroine gains 10 Night Spirit points, entering the Night Spirit Blessing state. While riding a Flame Cycle in the air, she performs a powerful Falling Sun Strike on enemies on the ground, dealing Pyro damage in an area and entering the Crucible of Death and Life mode.

In this mode, Mavuika's actions do not consume Night Spirit points, and her resistance to interruption increases. Plus, the damage of Falling Sun Strike, as well as E-class normal and charged attacks, is increased proportionally to the value of Fighting Spirit that the heroine had at the time of using the ult. The state ends if the heroine leaves the battlefield.

Explanation: After using the ult, Mavuika soars into the sky on her flame cycle, and then flies down and deals fire damage to a 7-meter radius area, entering a special mode for 7 seconds, in which she becomes impossible to knock off the bike, and she begins to deal the same normal and charged attacks as in E-class, but with increased multipliers.

In this case, instead of energy (the energy recovery parameter can be safely forgotten), you will need to collect points of Fighting Spirit. In total, you can collect 200 points, but 100 will be enough to activate the ult. But even if you fill the parameter to the maximum, no one will let you use two ults in a row. Firstly, when activating the explosion of the elements, all Fighting Spirit is automatically spent, and secondly, the cooldown of the ability is 18 seconds.

So why accumulate additional Fighting Spirit points? The thing is that the more you collect, the higher the multipliers for the damage of the Ultimate, normal and charged attacks you will receive. For example, at the 10th level of the Elemental Explosion, the increase will be 576%, 102% and 204% respectively. Thus, the total damage multiplier of the Ultimate will be 1376%, normal attack (let's take the 3rd) – 240%, and charged – 399%.

For this reason, it is highly advisable to gain 200 BD points in 10-12 seconds, so that you can activate a new ult immediately after its cooldown ends. Mavuika herself is also taken into account, so she alone can already give us about 64 points in 10 seconds. Next, let's take some damage dealer with fast normal attacks, for example, Clorinda, who can perform up to 18 hits in 7.5 seconds of her skill. Thus, we get another 27 points (18 * 1.5).

As you can see, even with a fast damage dealer you won't be able to get the minimum 100 points, not to mention the desired 200 points, which are simply necessary for those who plan to use Mavuika as a main DD. In any case, you will definitely have to add other Natlan characters to the team who are able to spend Night Spirit points. The best option in this case will be Shilonen, who will immediately spend almost 100 points in a couple of seconds.

When fighting on a flamecycle, we recommend using charged attacks, which are similar to spin attacks and allow you to consistently close reactions, dealing increased damage. However, if Ye Lan or Xing Qiu are present in the team, it is better to use normal attacks.

Passive Talents

The first of them is called “Gift of Flame Flowers”. When team members use Night Spirit Flash, the heroine's attack power is increased by 30% for 10 seconds.

Explanation: Flash is activated when a Natlanian deals elemental damage. If there is only Mavuiki in the pack, the cooldown of the move will be 18 seconds, meaning its bonus will end around the time the heroine uses her ult, which is not good. With three Natlanians, the cooldown of the flash is 9 seconds, so the bonus will work almost constantly.

Second – Kiongozi– allows you to increase the active character's damage by 0.2% for each point of Fighting Spirit the heroine had after using the ult. The maximum damage can be increased by 40%. This bonus lasts for 20 seconds and gradually decreases until it reaches zero.

Explanation: One of the reasons why you should activate the ult every rotation even if you use Mavuika as a secondary damage dealer.

As for the third passive “Gift of the Realm of Night: Exhaustion Mode”, then when the Night Spirit points are exhausted, Mavuika will be able to continue maintaining the Flame Cycle using Phlogiston. She will also be able to use the Night Spirit Transfer in Natlan. When the active hero sprints, climbs, swims, or is in the air, when switching to Mavuika, she will immediately enter the Night Spirit Blessing state and gain 40 ND. This ability can be used once every 10 seconds.

Explanation: Simply makes it easier to navigate Natlan, allowing you to keep your Flame Cycle running longer.

Mavuika also has a special innate passive Nightbreaking Radiance that reduces the cooldown of Team Nightspirit Transfer by 20%.

Mavuika Constellations

To open them, you need to accumulate the character's Luck, which is given when you drop duplicates of the heroine, which, of course, is random. Given the small chance of getting 5-star characters, you will need to spend a lot of time and money to unlock all the constellations. However, even without them, Mavuika copes well with the role of a sub-DD.

The table below provides a list of all the constellations with their descriptions and benefits for the character.

NameDescriptionBenefit
Interpretation of the Lord of the NightThe maximum ND points are increased to 120, and the efficiency of accumulation of Fighting Spirit increases by 25%. Plus, after receiving BD, the heroine's attack power increases by 40% for 8 seconds.Allows to reduce Mavuika's dependence on other Natlanians and increase the duration of the skill to 16 seconds. During this time, she will be able to accumulate 150 BD points even on her own: for sub-DD, this completely eliminates the need to add other Natlan characters, and for main-DD, it makes it less desirable to have Shilonen in the squad. Overall, it brings great benefits.
The Price of AshWhen the heroine is in the Blessing of the Night Spirit state, her basic attack damage increases by 200 units, and, according to the All-Fire Armament form, she gains the following effects: Rings of Incinerating Glitter – the defense of nearby enemies is reduced by 20%; Flame Cycle: the damage of Falling Sun Strike of a normal attack, charged attack, and elemental explosion of Mavuiki's Hour of Blazing Skies increases proportionally to her attack power by 60%/90%/120%.In sub-DD mode, it gives a cut to defense for both herself and her allies, and in main-DD mode, it receives additional multipliers to basic attacks. A direct bonus to normal attacks is also a bonus. Overall, it brings very high benefits.
Burning SunThe ult level increases by three. Max level: 15.In terms of utility, it is only slightly inferior to C1, especially when using Mavuiki as a main DD.
Leader's InsightThe damage bonus provided by the ult no longer decreases over time. Adds an additional 10% to damage. The total bonus from the passive “Kiongozi” is now 50%. Overall, it brings medium-high utility.
The meaning of truthThe skill level increases by three. Maximum level: 15.Makes attacks from the pocket, as well as normal and charged attacks under the ultimate, slightly stronger. Overall, brings average benefit.
The liberated “name of humanity”Upgrades All-Fire Armament: When the Rings of Incinerating Glitter hit an enemy, the Flame Cycle will ram them, dealing 200% of her attack power as AoE Pyro damage with the Night Spirit stat; when Mavuika is riding the Flame Cycle, the Ring of Incinerating Glitter is also summoned: The Image of Incinerating Glitter that follows her reduces the defense of nearby enemies by 20% and deals 400% of her attack power as AoE Fire damage every 3 seconds. Plus, when the heroine is riding the Flame Cycle outside of battle and her Night Spirit points drop to 5, she immediately gains 80 points. This effect occurs once every 15 seconds. In terms of damage bonus, it is comparable to C2, but it significantly increases the efficiency of riding a bike. However, given the high cost of C6, we do not recommend spending resources on it.

If you decide to try your luck, we recommend that you go for C1 and C2, which will significantly strengthen Mavuika as both a secondary and primary damage dealer, increasing her personal damage and usefulness to allies.

If you have a choice between the first constellation and a signature weapon, then a lot depends on what kind of squad you can form – if you have Shilonen or other Natlanians suitable for Mavuika, then it is better to knock out the signature.

How to play Mavuika

As you probably already understood, Pyro Archon can be used as a secondary or active damage dealer, which will directly affect its rotation and gameplay. Let's note right away that the first style is simpler than the second, so let's start with it.

Secondary damage dealer

In this role, Mavuika's gameplay revolves around her elemental skill (quick tap), which allows her to deal Pyro damage to nearby enemies from her pocket, and she will do it better than Xiangling, but not by much, so if you have a chef from Liyue, even with the 4th Constellation, you definitely shouldn't run after the Pyro Archon, dropping your slippers.

Mavuika in Genshin Impact: guide to the best build

Using her as a sub-DD, we still advise you to activate the ult on CD, since even with 100 BD points (it is not necessary to get 200 in this case) and at level 10 of the ability, the multiplier will be a gigantic 1088%. If the heroine has an Obsidian Tome, she will also deal a critical hit. And if you manage to close Steam or Melt with this damage, you can safely multiply the multiplier by 1.5 or 2.

Her optimal rotation will look like this:

  1. Switch to Mavuika and activate her elemental skill with a quick press to regularly apply Pyro status to enemies, summon Night Spirit Flash (increases the heroine's attack power), and restore energy to an ally wearing the “Scroll of the Burnt City Hero” set.
  2. Now you will need to accumulate 100 points of Fighting Spirit in 9-10 seconds. To do this, switch to other Natlanians and use their skills and basic attacks, that is, you can switch to both supports and other sub-DDs, and to the main DD. You can even bring one hero onto the field twice if this helps you increase the overall DPS of the team.
  3. Once you have 100 BD points, try to use Mavuika's ult at the moment when you manage to close the Steam or Melt reaction with it to deal maximum damage.
  4. Then immediately switch to the main damage dealer, receiving all the bonuses from Mavuika to deal maximum damage to enemies.

Main damage dealer

In theory, Mavuika is capable of showing the same damage numbers as Nevillette, but you will have to try very, very hard to do so. First of all, you will need to pay more attention to gaining Fighting Spirit points – you will have to accumulate 200 points every rotation. You can only do this with Shilonen in your team. Otherwise, you will have to add at least two more Natlanians to the pack.

Mavuika in Genshin Impact: Guide to the Best Build

After activating the ult, we recommend that you use charged attacks, as they have large multipliers. It is advisable to close Steam, for which you will need Furina, as only she can handle the application. If you decide to play from Melting, you will have to throw Cryo status more often, which is why you will need Sitlali and, possibly, another ice character. Plus, you will need to be well versed in auras and how they work.

Note: When combining Mawuiki with Ye Lan or Xing Qiu, use normal attacks, not charged ones.

Her optimal rotation would be as follows:

  1. Switch to Mavuika and activate her elemental skill with a quick tap to regularly inflict Pyro status on enemies, summon Night Spirit's Flash (increases her attack power), and restore energy to an ally wearing the “Scroll of the Hero of the Burnt City” set.
  2. Now you will need to accumulate 200 Fighting Spirit points in 9-10 seconds. To do this, switch to other Natlanians and use their skills and basic attacks to spend Night Spirit points. You can even bring one hero onto the field twice if it helps you increase the overall DPS of the team.
  3. After collecting 200 BS, try to use Mavuika's ult at the moment when you manage to close the reaction of Steam or Melt with it to deal maximum damage.
  4. Next, start using Mavuika's charged or normal attacks for 7 seconds, dealing maximum damage to enemies.

Advantages and disadvantages of Mavuika

Using her unique abilities, this heroine can inflict significant fire damage to both single and multiple targets. Her advantages also include:

  • She has relatively high base attack power, defense, and health, which makes her a strong character overall.
  • Relatively easy to build, as she can buff her attack power on her own, and her critical damage increases with Ascension. Plus, she doesn't need any energy regeneration at all, as she needs Fighting Spirit points to activate her ult.
  • Under certain conditions, she can deal massive fire damage as an active damage dealer, coming close to top DDs like Nevillette.
  • She also shows herself to be an excellent secondary damage dealer, dealing fire damage and applying Pyro status out of pocket better than Xiangling. Plus, she can buff the active character, increasing their damage after using their ult.
  • As part of the elemental explosion, she becomes completely immune to interruptions, allowing her to not worry about enemy attacks.
  • She makes it much easier to move around Natlan, as she can use her Flame Cycle to fly into the air, move over water, and quickly climb rocks.

Mavuika in Genshin Impact: Guide to the Best Build

However, Mavuika cannot be called an ideal character, as she also has her downsides:

  • Significantly depends on the presence of other Natlanians in the squad, as only with them can she effectively gain Fighting Spirit points. Even if you plan to use her as a sub-DD, you will still need at least one more fighter from Natlan (in the absence of C1) to have time to accumulate 100 points to activate the ult. For an active damage dealer, only one character is suitable – Shilonen.
  • When using Mavuiki as a main DD, you will need Furina to apply Hydro and trigger the Steam reaction as effectively as possible, and you will need Sitlali and possibly another Cryo character to apply Cryo and trigger Melt. Of course, these requirements are definitely not suitable for F2P players.
  • When using Pyro Archon as a main DD, you will also need to be well versed in auras and reactions to play through Steam and Melt properly. For this reason, we cannot recommend her to beginners.
  • If you have Xiangling (C4+) and need a quick Pyro status (1.5 seconds), then it is better to stop at the Chef from Liyue and not waste spins on Mavuika, since the benefits from it in this case will not be much higher.
  • Only opening the 1st Constellation will help make the gameplay at least a little more enjoyable, which again is not suitable for F2P players.
  • The Flame Cycle movement system is only useful in Natlan, since in other regions the bike's usability is extremely short (especially without C1).

Best Build for Mavuiki

Primary Damage Dealer

Best Weapon

When choosing a two-handed sword, priority should be given to those that increase attack power, critical damage, or critical hit chance, as well as strengthen normal and charged attacks, or increase overall damage. The table below presents the most interesting options.

Name and RarityStats (level 1-90)Passive Ability

Mavuika in Genshin Impact: Guide to the Best Build

A Thousand Blinding Suns (5 Stars)

Critical Hit Rate: 2.4%~11%

Base Attack: 49~741

Grants Searing Radiance when an elemental skill or ultimate is activated: increases critical damage by 20-40% and attack power by 28-56% for 6 seconds. The bonus can occur once every 10 seconds. Dealing damage with normal or charged attacks while the buff is active extends its duration by 2 seconds. The extension occurs once every 1 second, and its maximum value is 6 seconds. Plus, the status effects are increased by 75% if the wearer is in the Blessing of the Holy Flame mode, and its duration does not count down when the wearer is outside the battlefield.

Mavuika's signature weapon, which looks great on her as both a sub-DD and a main-DD, significantly simplifying the balancing of crits and greatly increasing damage. The closest alternatives lag behind it by 10-20% (depending on your squad), so when choosing between a signature weapon and C1, you should first look at your team – for example, if you have Shilonen, then you can safely knock out Thousand Blinding Suns first.

Mavuika in Genshin Impact: A Guide to the Best Build

Red-Horned Stonecutter (5 Stars)

Critical Damage: 19.2~88.2%

Base Attack: 44~542

Increases Defense by 28-56%, and Normal and Charged Attack damage is increased by 40-80% of Defense.

Provides a huge boost to critical damage, which significantly increases Mavuika's overall damage (you will only need to look for crit chance in artifacts). If you also take Bennett into your party, it is almost always in 2nd place in the ranking of the best weapons for Pyro Archon.

Mavuika in Genshin Impact: Guide to the Best Build

Reed Sea Lighthouse (5 stars)

Crit. chance: 7.2-33.08%

Base Attack: 46~608

When an elemental skill hits an enemy, it increases attack power by 20~40% for 8 seconds. When receiving damage, ATK increases by 20~40% for 8 seconds. These bonuses occur even when the hero is not on the battlefield. Plus, if the fighter equipped with it does not have a shield, their maximum health increases by 32~64%.

Quite a versatile weapon, as it is suitable not only for main DD, but also for sub-DD, because its bonuses work in the pocket. Increases both crits and attack power (Mavuika will often use E-shka, so there will be no problems with activating the first part of the passive). However, you will need to expose the heroine to attacks more often to trigger the second part of the passive.

Mavuika in Genshin Impact: guide to the best build

Dragon Bone Sword (4 stars)

Crit. Chance: 6%~27.6%

Base Attack: 42~510

The hero's damage is increased by 6%~10% every 4 seconds, but the damage received is also increased by 3%~1.8% while it is active. The effect can be stacked up to five times and does not disappear if you change characters, but if you receive damage, it is reduced by 1 stack.

With the 5th awakening and 5 levels of passive, it can even compete with the Redhorn Stonecutter in damage. However, this weapon can only be obtained in the paid Battle Pass, and getting all 5 stacks is not as easy as it might seem at first glance, because you will have to masterfully dodge incoming attacks. Without awakenings, its damage is comparable to free 4-star options.

Mavuika in Genshin Impact: a guide to the best build

Verdict (5 stars)

Critical Hit Rate: 4.8~22%

Base Attack: 48~674

Increases attack power by 20-40%. When team members pick up elemental shards created by the Crystal, the weapon owner receives one Seal, increasing E-Shka's damage by 18-36%. The seal's duration is 15 seconds. You can have a maximum of two seals. They disappear immediately after dealing damage with a skill.

Grants crits and attack power, and the second part of the passive only works if there is a Geo character in the party, but you can do without it, since the benefit of increasing the skill's damage is still not very big for Mavuika.

Mavuika in Genshin Impact: guide to the best build

Wolf's Bane (5 stars)

Attack power: 10.8%-49.6%.

Basic attack: 46~608

Attack power increases by 20-40%. If the enemy's HP drops to 30%, each team member's attack power increases by 40-80% for 12 seconds. The ability can only appear once every 30 seconds.

Significantly increases Mavuiki's attack power, and therefore her overall damage. However, you will have to get crits in artifacts.

Mavuika in Genshin Impact: A Guide to the Best Build

Unforged (5 stars)

Attack Power: 10.8~49.6%

Base Attack: 46~608

Increases shield durability by 20-40%. When hitting an enemy, attack power increases by 4-8% for 8 seconds. The bonus stacks up to 5 times and appears once every 0.3 seconds. When the character is under the shield, the effect increases by 100%.

Like the previous option, it also significantly increases the heroine's attack power, but to fully realize the passive, you will definitely need a shielder in the squad or a Geo character.

Mavuika in Genshin Impact: Guide to the Best Build

Flower in Plate (4 Stars)

Bonus MS: 24~110

Base attack: 44~565

When an elemental skill hits an enemy or the wearer triggers a reaction, they will gain a bonus to attack power and elemental mastery by 12~24% and 48~96 points respectively.

If you were lucky enough to pick this weapon up during the version 3.5 event, it can greatly increase reaction damage due to its fairly high attack power and additional elemental mastery. This sword is definitely not suitable for mono Pyro squads.

Mavuika in Genshin Impact: Best Build Guide

Wave Shadow (4 Stars)

Attack Power: 9~41.3%

Base Attack Power: 42~510

Increases Attack Power by 24-48% after receiving a heal for 8 seconds. The bonus is activated even if the character is not on the battlefield.

The 5th awakening is required, fortunately the sword is crafted, so there should be no problems with this. Gives a huge increase to attack power. True, it is mandatory to have a healer in the team who can heal from the pocket.

Mavuika in Genshin Impact: guide to the best build

Black Mountain Razor (4 stars)

Base attack: 42~510

Attack power: 12~55.1%

Upon defeating enemies, increases ATK by 12~24% for half a minute. The bonus can be stacked up to three times.

Increases critical hits and can provide a lot of ATK when fighting large enemy groups. Much less effective when fighting a powerful single enemy.

Mavuika in Genshin Impact: Guide to the Best Build

Prototype Archaic (4 stars)

Base attack: 44~565

Attack power: 6~27.6%

When hit by a normal or charged attack, it has a 50% chance of dealing 240~480% damage to a small area. The effect occurs once every 15 seconds.

A good option for beginners, allowing you to slightly increase attack power and provide additional damage, since you can already craft it in Mondstadt.

Mavuika in Genshin Impact: Best Build Guide

Talking Mace (4 Stars)

Critical Hit Rate: 4~18.4%

Base Attack: 44~565

Increases attack power by 16-32% for 15 seconds after receiving the Pyro effect. In the case of receiving Hydro, Cryo, Electro or Dendro effects, damage from elemental damage increases by 12-24% for 15 seconds. Both bonuses can occur no more than once every 12 seconds.

If you do not have this claymore, then you should not knock it out of the BP specifically for Mavuiki, since the Dragonbone Sword will be a more attractive option. If you already have it, then you can give Pyro to Archon as a temporary option. You can activate the passive only if you have Bennett or Barbara in the team.

Best Artifacts

We recommend choosing sets that can increase Mavuiki's attack power, critical damage, and critical hit chance, as well as strengthen her normal and charged attacks. The table below shows the best options.

ArtifactsBonusesAdvantages

Mavuika in Genshin Impact: a guide to the best build

Obsidian Tome

2 pieces: increases damage by 15% for the owner on the field, in the state of the Blessing of the Night Spirit.

4 pieces: increases the chance of dealing a critical strike by 40% for 6 seconds after the owner spends 1 point of Night Spirit. The effect can occur once every second.

The perfect kit for any Natlan damage dealer, which will work on Mavuika even under the effect of her ult (apparently this is why she is given 10 Night Spirit points). Significantly ahead of other sets, although the crit chance buff will work for about 3 seconds of the elemental explosion.

Mavuika in Genshin Impact: a guide to the best build

Twilight Court Hunter

2 pieces: Increases damage from normal and charged attacks by 15%.

4 pieces: Increases the chance of a critical hit by 12% for five seconds when the character's current health increases or decreases. The bonus stacks up to three times.

In a team playing through Steam and including Furina, it will lag behind the previous set by about 2-5%. Otherwise, always take only the “Tome”.

As for the main characteristics of artifacts, then take the hourglass for attack power (or elemental mastery in teams on Steam or Melt), the cup (bowl) – for the Pyro damage bonus, and the crown (hat) – for crit. chance/crit. damage in a ratio of 1 to 2. The priority of choosing secondary parameters looks like this: crits, attack and elemental mastery.

If we talk about optimal indicators of the heroine's attributes, then they look like this:

  • Attack power: 3000+
  • Elemental mastery: 200-300 units in teams on Steam or Melt
  • Critical Hit Chance/Critical Damage: 70%+/140%+

Secondary Damage Dealer

Mavuika's signature weapon, which looks great on her as both a sub-DD and a main-DD, significantly simplifying the balancing of crits and greatly increasing the damage. The closest alternatives are 10-20% behind it (depending on your squad), so when choosing between a signature and C1, you should first look at your team – for example, if you have Shilonen, then you can safely knock out Thousand Blinding Suns first.

Mavuika in Genshin Impact: Best Build Guide

Dragonbone Sword (4 Stars)

Crit. Rate: 6%~27.6%

Base Attack: 42~510

The damage dealt by the hero increases by 6%~10% every 4 seconds, but the damage received by him also increases by 3%~1.8% while it is active. The effect can be stacked up to five times and does not disappear if the character is changed, but if damage is received, it decreases by 1 stack.

With 5th awakening and 5 levels of passive, it easily takes 2nd place in the ranking, because its passive works from the pocket without losing stacks. Without awakenings, it is also a good option, second only to 5-star swords.

Mavuika in Genshin Impact: Best Build Guide

Mountain King's Fang (5 Stars)

Critical Hit Rate: 7.2%~33.1%

Base Attack: 46~608

If the weapon's wielder hits an enemy with an elemental skill, he gains 1 level of Cron's Blessing (no more than once every 0.5 seconds). If any other hero in the squad triggers the Burning or Blooming reaction, the character wearing the Mountain King's Fang will gain 3 levels of Cron's Blessing (no more than once every 2 seconds). Each level of Cron's Blessing provides a bonus to the critical damage (in %) of the elemental skill and elemental explosion by 10/12.5/15/17.5/20 for the character equipped with this weapon. The duration of one level of Blessing is 6 seconds, and there can be no more than six levels in total.

Gives Mavuika the critical hits she needs, and also significantly enhances her E-class and ult (the buff will work almost all the time). If there is at least one Dendro hero in the team, the effectiveness of the weapon will increase significantly.

Mavuika in Genshin Impact: Guide to the Best Build

Reed Sea Lighthouse (5 stars)

Crit. Rate: 7.2-33.08%

Base Attack: 46~608

When hitting an enemy with an elemental skill, increases attack power by 20~40% for 8 seconds. When receiving damage, ATK increases by 20~40% for 8 seconds. These bonuses occur even when the hero is not on the battlefield. Plus, if the fighter equipped with it does not have a shield, their maximum health increases by 32~64%.

Quite a versatile weapon, as it will suit not only main DD, but also sub-DD, because its bonuses work in the pocket. Increases both crits and attack power (Mavuika will often use E, so there will be no problems with activating the first part of the passive). The second part of the passive will not be available, since the heroine will be off the field most of the time.

Mavuika in Genshin Impact: guide to the best build

Wolf's Bane (5 stars)

Attack power: 10.8%-49.6%.

Base attack: 46~608

Attack power increases by 20-40%. If the enemy's HP drops to 30%, each team member's attack power increases by 40-80% for 12 seconds. The ability can only appear once every 30 seconds.

Significantly increases Mavuiki's attack power, and therefore her overall damage. In addition, it will strengthen Mavuiki's allies. Overall, it is comparable in effectiveness to the Dragonbone Sword without awakenings.

Mavuika in Genshin Impact: A Guide to the Best Build

Earth Shaker (4 Stars)

Attack Power: 6%~27%

Base Attack: 43~565

When team members use Pyro Reactions, the owner's elemental skill damage increases by 16-32% for 8 seconds. This bonus works even from the pocket.

Considering that as a sub-DD the heroine will not close reactions, then after the Dragonbone Sword this claymore can be considered the best 4-star weapon for Mavuiki. So be sure to craft it before the 5th awakening. Otherwise, swords on MS will be a priority.

Mavuika in Genshin Impact: Guide to the Best Build

Wave Shadow (4 Stars)

Attack Power: 9~41.3%

Base Attack: 42~510

Increases attack power by 24-48% after receiving healing for 8 seconds. The bonus is activated even if the character is not on the battlefield.

The 5th awakening is required, fortunately the sword is crafted, so there should be no problems with this. Gives a huge increase in attack power. However, it is necessary to have a healer in the team who can heal from the pocket.

Mavuika in Genshin Impact: Best Build Guide

Flower in Plate (4 Stars)

Bonus MS: 24~110

Base Attack: 44~565

When an elemental skill hits an enemy or the wearer triggers a reaction, they gain a bonus to attack power and elemental mastery of 12~24% and 48~96 points respectively.

If you were lucky enough to pick this weapon up during the 3.5 event, it can provide a nice boost to your reaction damage due to its fairly high attack power and additional elemental mastery. This sword is definitely not suitable for mono Pyro squads.

Mavuika in Genshin Impact: Guide to the Best Build

Raincutter (4 stars)

Bonus MS: 36~165

Base attack: 42~510

Increases damage to enemies affected by Hydro or Electro by 20~36%.

Only suitable if Mavuika is closing Overload or Steam in the team. Claymore must have 5th awakening.

Best Artifacts

We recommend choosing sets that can increase Mavuika's attack power, critical damage, and critical hit chance, as well as enhance her elemental skill and ult. The table below shows the best options.

ArtifactsBonusesAdvantages

Mavuika in Genshin Impact: a guide to the best build

Scroll of the Hero of the Burnt City

2 parts: When a team member uses Night Spirit Flash, the wearer restores 6 units of energy.

4 pieces: After the wearer activates a reaction related to their element, all party members gain a 12% bonus to damage of the corresponding element related to reactions for 15 seconds. If the owner of the set is under the Blessing of the Night Spirit state when activating the specified buff, then all party members additionally gain a 28% bonus to elemental damage related to reactions for 20 seconds. This effect can occur even if the hero is not on the battlefield. Bonuses of the same-named artifact sets do not stack.

Obtained in the dungeon “Sanctuary of Myriad Spirits”. In theory, it can significantly increase the damage of the entire team, but to do this, it is necessary to close the reaction with Mavuika with the main DD element at the very beginning of the rotation, which is not always feasible. It should also be remembered that the buffs from two sets do not stack, so if the set is already hanging on some support, then giving it to Pyro Archon does not make sense.

Mavuika in Genshin Impact: a guide to the best build

Obsidian Tome

2 pieces: increases damage by 15% for the owner on the field, in the state of Blessing of the Night Spirit.

4 pieces: increases the chance of dealing a critical strike by 40% for 6 seconds after the owner spends 1 point of Night Spirit. The effect can occur once every second.

Sub-DD will also work, as it will allow you to significantly increase the damage of your ultimate.

Mavuika in Genshin Impact: Guide to the Best Build

Lava Walker

2 parts: increases resistance to Pyro by 40%.

4 parts: increases damage dealt to enemies under the Pyro status by 35%.

Not a bad option if you want to increase Mavuika's personal damage, meaning her E and ult will do more damage.

The priority of choosing secondary parameters is as follows: crits, attack and elemental mastery.

If we talk about the optimal indicators of the heroine's attributes, then they look like this:

  • Attack power: 3000+
  • Elemental mastery: 200-300 units in teams on Steam or Melt
  • Critical hit chance/crit. damage: 70%+/140%+

The best teams for Mavuiki

As we have already noted above, Mavuika desperately needs other Natlanians to accumulate Morale points faster, especially in the absence of C1. This applies to both main and sub-DD, with the exception that an active damage dealer cannot do without Shilonen. Otherwise, you will have to take some Kachina to the team instead of a more useful support, which will negatively affect the overall damage of the pack.

If you choose reactions for main DD, then Steam will, of course, be the easiest and most effective option, but only if you have Furin, since the application of other characters will not be enough. You can, of course, take Ye Lan or Xing Qiu, but then you will have to use normal attacks instead of charged ones, which will again lead to a drop in damage.

You can also assemble a team for Melting, but then you will have to take two Cryo characters to get the necessary application – you will hardly get by with one Sitlali. In this case, you will again have to sacrifice some good support, for example, Bennett (I remind you that Shilonen is included here by default).

When used as a sub-DD, Mavuika can be included in many Natlan squads, such as pairing her with Mualani (though the rotation will be more confusing in this case) or Kinich (under the Burn reaction), but she will also look good in other teams, the full list of which is presented in the table below.

Mawuiki Upgrade

How to Upgrade Skills

You will have to search and collect a variety of different materials, namely:

  • Teachings, Directions, and Philosophies of the “Rivalry” – obtained on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Sundays in the “Fiery Ruins” dungeon.
  • Wooden Whistle of the Watcher, Magical Whistle of the Warrior, and Golden Whistle of the Saurian-Crowned Warrior – dropped by Saurian-like warriors of the tribe, purchased with Star Glitter, or created with Alchemy.
  • Unknown Material – dropped by the weekly boss of patch 5.3.
  • Crown of Insight – can be obtained during events, as well as by leveling up the Sacred Sakura, the Permafrost Tree, the Dream Tree, the Lucine Fountain, and Tona's Fire.

Mavuika in Genshin Impact: Guide to the Best Build

If we talk about priority of leveling up talents, then the main DD should first pump the ult (it is under it that we will use charged blows), and only then the elemental skill, and for the sub-DD, on the contrary, first raise the E-ka, and then the explosion of the elements. Normal attacks can not be increased, regardless of the role of the heroine.

How to elevate a character

Get ready to search and collect a large number of different materials. The list and methods of obtaining them are given below.

Mavuika in Genshin Impact: a guide to the best build

Agnidus Agate Crystals drop from the Pyro Hypostasis and Orchid, the Algorithm of the Semi-Eternal Matrix of the Observation Operator, and the Ancient Geovishap. They can also be obtained after completing such weekly bosses as the Wolf Lord, Azhdaha, and Signora. They are also sold in the Souvenir Shop. The Mysterious Spring Core with a Golden Inscription is obtained from the Mysterious Spring Automaton: Configurator. Dry Purple is a local curiosity of Natlan. We have indicated its location in a separate guide.
