Background

Mintara comes from the city of Menzobenrrranzan, located in the Underdark. After the Absolute adepts arrived in the city, Mintara became interested in a new cult. She gathered a squad and went with it to the Moon Towers.

Orin and Ketherick held a lavish reception for their new guests, which ended in disastrous results. Mintara was the only one from the squad who survived and with the help of the illithid larva Orin made her Faithful. Under the influence of the larva, Mintara renounced her goddess Lolth and began to worship a new deity – the Absolute.

Later, Mintara, along with two other goblin leaders, settled in the destroyed temple of Selune. Together they, on the orders of Ketheric Torm, developed a plan to search for the Mysterious Artifact.

    Approvals for Mintara

Mintara in Baldur's Gate 3: build, novel, and all endings

Mintara in Baldur's Gate 3: build, romance and all endings

Mintara, along with Astarion and Laezel, approves of the cruel, evil or selfish actions of the protagonist.

Anything related to murder , deception and desire for power – will be approved by Mintara. For example, a large amount of approval can be received after defeating Ketherick, suggesting that she defeat Gortash and Orin and seize power together.

However, some obviously evil actions may be frowned upon. For example, in the Towers of the Moon, Mintara will try to find out from you why you decided to kill the tieflings. If you answer that you were prompted to do this by a thirst for murder, suffering, or simply a desire to do it, Mintara will react negatively. She will also not approve if you choose to let Marcus kidnap Isobel from the Last Light Tavern.

On the contrary, good intentions and helping others will be condemned by Mintara. Mintara does not like to show sympathy, especially to those who are weaker. She also won't like it if you show disrespect for the drow culture and don't agree with her opinions.

Mintara is monogamous. If your hero is in a relationship with her, then she will not approve of any hints of betrayal. For example, she will react aggressively to the offer of sleeping with the drow twins in Weasel Shares, an affair with Mizora, or starting a polygamous relationship with Halsin (if you have them in your camp).

    Romance with Mintara

    < p>Mintara v Baldur's Gate 3: build, romance and all endings

A bed scene with Mintara in the first act will not be the beginning of a romance and will not guarantee a relationship in the future.
A direct romantic relationship with Mintara can only begin in the third act.

During one of the long rests, Mintara will want to talk to you. She will share her thoughts about trusting you and her fears. Mintara will ask you to open your mind in order to see how the main character sees her. It is necessary to introduce Mintara as a lover. This choice will be the beginning of your novel.

    Mintara's quests

Mintara herself, unlike other companions, does not have her own personal quest. However, she is directly involved in the “Save the Refugees” quest, giving you the additional task “Raid the Emerald Grove.”

Also, in the Moon Towers, the task “Solve the Fate of Mintara” appears, which must be saved in order to complete your companion.

In the third act, Mintara may become a victim of Orin's abduction from the camp if she is absent from the main party during the quest “Visit the Emperor's Old Refuge.”
