In Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ), Missing Witness is a combat order and part of the “And Then the Starfall Came” quest chain. As part of it, you will need to explore the Twin Towers and find communication points to solve small puzzles with Data Reconnection. Walkthrough of the Battle Order “Missing Witness” in Zenless Zone Zero
How to start the quest
After completing the Battle Order “Interesting Day in the Cavern”, talk to the “Sly Bunnies” and “Section 6”, who have become allies again. After watching the cutscene, you will return to the video store. Talk to your sister/brother about the events that happened and tell them that you are okay.
Next, the Security Service will come to your store. They will want to look into the back room, but Zhu Yuan and Qingyi will stop them. Leave the office and greet the girls. After talking to the police officers, return to the back room and interact with the HDD system to start the “Missing Witness” combat order. Note that as part of this mission, you will receive trial Miyabi, Yanagi, and Harumasu.
Build the first mini-truck
After the order starts, run forward, following the quest marker. Then start going down the stairs, avoiding laser beams and turret shots. Note that it is best to use Miyabi here, as she has an improved dodge when you double-tap the dodge button.
On one of the stairwells you will find 1st missing mini-trucksurrounded by lasers. Pick it up, and then continue down. Deal with the first group of opponents, and then go to the large hall, where you will have to engage in battle with an elite robot.
We recommend that you first cast Frostbite on opponents with Miyabi, then switch to Yanagi to cast Chaos, and switch back to the fox to cast “Shimotsuki”(you need to hold down the basic attack button), thereby causing gigantic damage. Having dealt with the enemies, start climbing the stairs to the top, destroying two more opponents with shields.
Then climb the curved stairs to the top, collecting gold coins. You will find yourself on the top floor, where three etherials will attack you. Deal with them and take the contents 2nd mini-truck. After that, go back and continue moving behind the quest marker.
First Data Reconnection Puzzle
Once up, go to the control room and interact with the communication console to start hacking it. A puzzle will start, in which you will need to activate all the data blocks on your way to the end point in one go, that is, you cannot step on the cells again.
To do this, you will need to go through all the white cells on the specified field and reach the yellow cell. The correct route is shown in the screenshot below.
Second Puzzle “Data Reconnection”
After solving the puzzle, enter the purple portal that appears. Go to the large room and deal with another group of opponents. Then enter the second control room and interact with the communication console. Start hacking the system.
Just like last time, you will need to go through all the white cells to paint them orange. You cannot go through the same cell twice. The correct route can be seen in the picture below.
Collect Two Mini Trucks
Solving this riddle will activate the self-destruct system, so you will have to quickly leave the building. Run after the quest marker, dealing with various enemies along the way, who are unlikely to cause you any problems thanks to the combination of Yanagi and Miyabi.
Once you get to the top, you'll find the 3rd missing mini-truck. Disable the lasers using the control panel and go forward. Here you'll find Pearlman – chat with him and then climb up the broken floor. Here you'll immediately see the 4th mini-truck on the left side.
After collecting the treasures, move to the next spacious hall. Here you will be attacked by two elite enemies at once. Miyabi will probably have her ult ready at this point, so we advise you to switch to Yanagi, cast an electrical anomaly on the enemies, and then use the fox's super ability to cause Chaos and deal gigantic damage. If the enemies are still alive, you can finish them off with the Shimotsuki move.
Watch the final video and comic, in which Miyabi is arrested for committing a “crime”. This will complete the order. As a reward, you will receive 70 polychromes, 225 Internet credits, 5 master discs, 19.5 thousand denni and various materials for leveling up.
