In Dragon's Dogma 2, Nameless Village is a story quest in which you have to go to a distant settlement to investigate the work of the false Lord. To do this, you will have to find the entrance to the secret dungeon and pass the platform test. If you have difficulty accepting and completing the task, then study our guide.
Walkthrough of the “Nameless Village” quest in Dragon's Dogma 2
How to start the quest
First of all, you will need to complete one of the three story missions, which Brant gives out during the first conversation in the tavern: “Cleansing from monsters”, “Disa's Intrigues” or “Prisoned Lawyer”. When you visit him again at the Stardrop Inn at night, you will be able to choose the answer: “Tell about the false Lord.”
After this, the captain of the guard will ask you to go to the eastern part of Vermund and find out about the origin of Arthur, who calls himself the Risen. As usual, we will not be given any precise instructions, so we will have to investigate on our own.
How to get to the Nameless Village
You will encounter the first difficulties when trying to get to the desired settlement. So, first of all, wait until morning (it’s best to spend the night in a hotel or your house to restore maximum health) and stock up on healing potions, as dangerous monsters may attack you on the way.
Then be sure to select the specified quest in the quest log as a priority mission so that the desired marker appears on the map. In addition, one of your pawns may well know the way to the indicated place, which she will immediately inform you about. In this case, simply select the “Action!” command. and start following the companion, who will have a “palms” icon next to his name.
Note: The path to quest objects, as a rule, is always known to pawns created by the developers themselves, so if you need reach such a place, then take the appropriate companion to your team. It will indicate in the description that it was made by Capcom.
If the necessary pawns are not at hand, then start running along the main road shown on the map above, in the northeastern direction. We have marked the entire route with a red line, so you won't get lost. On the way you may meet a Cyclops. If you are not sure that you can handle it, then just run past.
When you find yourself near the Worn Shaft cave, you can jump down or go around the canyon to the left. Next, cross the bridge. If you have not yet completed the quest “Clearing the Monsters,” then here you can protect the caravan from attack by monsters. Note that if you continue to go forward, you will simply stumble upon a blockage that cannot be overcome (see screenshot below).

For this reason, after rescuing the caravan, go to the fire where you can set up camp and go southeast from it to the “Eastern Forest” marker – the entire route is shown on the map below. Run along the gorge and turn left at the fork to come to a more open area just below.
Now be extremely careful, since here you will most likely be attacked by a minotaur. If you are not confident in your abilities (at least level 15 is required to fight the monster on equal terms), then just continue running east, and then start climbing up the moss-covered stone ledges.
Next, just run along the path into the gorge, and soon you will come out to the main road, which will lead you straight to the Nameless Village.
How to investigate the case of the false Lord
Watch a short cutscene about the village, and then walk a little forward, and you will be immediately stopped by Zrail, who will inform you that you are not welcome here and will offer to visit the main estate, which is located in the upper part of the settlement. There, talk to Flood, who will not tell you anything useful, but will give you the “Legendary Opus” scroll, thanks to which you can study “Blades of Flame.”
Then exit the estate and enter the house located southeast of it. Inside you will find a Folded Letter (the exact location is shown in the screenshots below). Having picked it up, return to Flood and ask him about the “brass” (the yellow diamond option).

Having learned the necessary information, exit the mansion and immediately turn right. In just a couple of seconds you will see a hole with stairs ahead. Go down into it to get to the Dungeon of the Nameless Village.
How to pass the platform test
The pawns won't follow you. Start going even lower and you'll soon reach the first platform puzzle. Deal with the bats so that they do not interfere with you, and then jump to the first board on the right, and from it to the beam on the left.
Now climb onto the third wooden platform on the right. Wait until its end rises a little, and then run forward and jump over to the stone ledge. Don't forget to then lower the rope ladder on the left. Move forward to the next challenge.
This time you will not only have to tilt platforms, but also dodge bags of stones. Jump onto the first beam when the net is on the right, as shown in the picture below. In this case, you will be able to sneak past her and jump onto the platform on the left.
Next, jump onto the second swing, go to the middle and climb onto the third board. Take a few steps back so that the end of the beam begins to rise, and run forward when the bag of stones flies to the right. Eventually you will make it to the other side. Don’t forget to lower the ladder again.
Go along the tunnel forward and open the door to get into the secret base of thieves. Chat with Zrail again, who turns out to be the leader of the guild. Chat with him, and then ask him two questions: “Ask about the fake Lord” and “Ask about Darr.” As a result, you will receive from him an Arrest Warrant for Darra and the Thief's Handbook scroll.
Return to Brant
Don't follow the same path you came here. Instead, go through the door to Zrail's left. You will find yourself in a kind of thieves' warehouse, where you can open 5 chests. We opened them all without any problems, but some players note that the locals may not like it, so we do not advise you to catch their eye.
Then just go up the stone steps to get to one of the houses in the Nameless Village. Exit it and return to Vernworth – you can use the travel stone. Next, go to the hotel at night and talk to Brant again. Select the option “Tell about the false Lord.”
The captain of the guard will thank you, and this is the task will come to an end. As a reward, you will receive 7500 gold, Dragon's Gaze (demonstrates the location of the fragments of awakening stones) and 1200 experience points.
