The navigation compasses on the Sky Splitter in Honkai: Star Rail are one of the puzzles found in many locations in Luofu Xianzhou. To solve them, you will have to rotate the rings with star marks in one direction and align the celestial axis, after which access to a valuable treasure will open.
In this guide, we will tell you where to find and how to solve all the puzzles with the Navigation Compasses on board the Skybreaker, as well as unlock the one-star achievement “Beyond the Clouds: Promise of Youth“.
How to set up Navigation Compasses on the Skybreaker
To begin adjusting the compasses on board the Sky Splitter, complete the story mission “Duel Under the Azure Sky II” – after which you will have access to free movement around the aircraft. In this area, you will be able to find two puzzleswith compasses, the mechanics of which we described in detail in the general guide.
Next, let's look at where the compasses are and how to properly adjust the celestial axis on each of them.
[1] Navigational compass
- Direction: East wing of the 3rd floor
The first compass is located in the mooring area in the northeast of the 3rd floor: move to the anchor in the Blue Team Auditorium area, and then run past the stands straight ahead to the entrance to the ship's room. There will be a control panel with an elevator on the left, and a little ahead on the right is a passage to the place with a puzzle.
Setting This compass can be divided into 4 stages, in which you need to switch between rotating rings (quick action on the “Q” key), and then rotate them a certain number of times (quick action on the “D” key). Follow the setup sequence shown in the video:
Thus, you need to make 4 switches and 10 turns:
- Switch to the outer and inner rings, then rotate them 2 times;
- Switch to the middle and outer rings, then rotate them 1 time;
- Switch to the inner and middle rings, then rotate 5 times;
- Switch to the middle and outer again, then rotate the last 2 times.
The reward will dock at the area after you finish aligning the celestial axis: a skiff will fly up, inside of which there will be one valuable chest. And if you set up this compass first, then opening the chest will additionally unlock the achievement “Beyond the Clouds: Promise of Youth“.
[2] Navigation Compass
- Direction: northwest of the 2nd floor
The second detuned mechanism that guides the sky skiffs is in the mooring area in the northwest of the 2nd floor of the ship: move to the anchor “Storm Line“, and then run back, to the right, and so on to the pier.
This The compass can be adjusted in two steps: switch 2 timesrotating areas (quick action on the “Q” key), and rotate the moving parts of the mechanism 4 times (quick action on the “D” key). See how it is shown in the video below:
When setting up the axis, you need to follow the following sequence of actions:
- Switch to the outer and middle rings, then rotate them 2 times;
- Switch to the inner and middle rings, then rotate them 2 times as well.
When the highlighted links line up in a blue line, a skiff will fly up to the pier, inside of which there will be a second valuable chest.
Rewards for solving puzzles with navigation compasses on the Sky Splitter
From two valuable chests you will get 40 jade, some materials for upgrading equipment and characters, random artifacts and 20 arrows. And after you adjust any of the compasses on the “Sky Splitter” for the first time, the achievement “Beyond the Clouds: Promise of Youth” from the “Understand the Incomprehensible” collection will appear, for obtaining which you will get another +5 jade.
