Nothing scary in Honkai Star Rail: how to lose all statuses Haunting horror

In Honkai: Star Rail, “No Big Deal” is a hidden bronze achievement that was added with the release of a new enemy type on Lofu Xianzhou: the Howling Coffins. These mechanical monsters are capable of inflicting a special debuff called “Haunting Terror” on a squad, which, if not removed, will cause allied units to become incapacitated during battle. Successfully remove the negative status from all allies and win the fight against the robot wolf to unlock a new achievement.

From this guide, you can learn how to find the mechanical enemy and what you need to do to neutralize the effect of “Haunting Terror” on each member of the squad.

In the fight against the Howling Coffin, along with the “No Big Deal” achievement, you can unlock another achievement – “Frankenweenie», the method of obtaining which was described in a separate guide.

The “Nothing to be afraid of” achievement is only counted upon completion of the battle, and if none of your heroes have a mark from the “Haunting Terror” debuff, which the Howling Coffin monster can hang. If all conditions are met, a new achievement will appear in the “Battle Rush” collection, and for it you can collect 5 star jade.

The battle with this large mechanical monster, made in the likeness of the Borisinians, happens twice during the story campaign “Duel under the Azure Sky I”:

  • The first time we encounter it is in the quest “Barking of a Watchdog, Sweet Talk”, where the mecha turns out to be a specific cargo of the KMM;
  • And the second time – in the quest “Clear Conscience and a Broken Cage”, during a surprise attack on the crew of the Star Express and Hanyu in the House of Shackles.

Later, the robot will appear in different modes of the Virtual Universe, the Hall of Oblivion, Pure Fiction, or the Illusion of the End.

In addition to story missions and endgame content, the Howling Coffin enemy is encountered on the -3rd floor of the underwater prison, southeast of the “Scorching Prison” teleporter.

The monster guards a luxurious chest, which we talked about in the guide to all the chests in the House of Shackles (see point 30).

Win the battle by neutralizing all statuses of the Haunting Horror

During the battle, the mechanical wolf is able to synthesize lupotoxin – in this attack, the monster poisons all members of the squad at once with the “Haunting Horror” debuff (if they have a low enough resistance). The effect marks the infected with a special mark that appears above the heroes' portraits – this is exactly what we need to neutralize.

If the condition is not removed, the character may fall under the effect of “Horror” and become incapacitated for at least 2 turns. In this case, the conditions for opening the achievement will be violated, but the opportunity to get the “Frankenweenie” achievement opens up.

Removing Stalking Horror is quite easy: just hit the monster that inflicted the status with a poisoned team member. However, this debuff cannot be neutralized with hero skills – debuff removal does not work here. You can hit with absolutely any attack, and the amount of damage inflicted is also not important. In addition, here are a few more tips that will simplify the whole process:

  • The red mark from “Haunting Horror” poisons only those heroes who “failed the check” for resistance to the imposition of effects. But this does not affect the conditions – you still need to emerge victorious from the battle with the mech without receiving statuses, even if only one character was under it;
  • The robot is vulnerable to wind, imaginary and electric types of damage, but you do not need to rush to disable it – this way you risk defeating the monster before it activates the release of toxin;
  • As soon as the characters receive the debuff mark, dedicate one of their next turns to attacking the wolf that applied the effect. And only when all allies get rid of the status, focus on finishing off the enemy and his stamina bar.
  • The best helpers for the squad will be shielders (except for Aventurine, who can stack a bonus attack at the wrong time and break through the wolf's white stripe with an imaginary element). And of the healers, Locha will show himself to be the most advantageous, who, under the ult, can heal others with a regular attack (and remove the debuff from himself with it).

If all conditions are met in a victorious battle against the Howling Coffin, and no member of the squad is left with a mark from the Stalking Horror debuff, the achievement will appear on the screen at the end of the fight. You can collect 5 Star Jade for it.
