In Genshin ImpactOpen Your Heart to Me is a Natlan world quest in which you will need to help Ishlel find all the heart fragments, then give them to her and free her from her shackles. Walkthrough of the quest “Open Your Heart to Me”
How to start the quest
There are no special requirements to start this mission, so you can take it on immediately after getting to Natlan, that is, you don’t even have to complete the Pyro Region quest chain. Once there, head to the western part of the area where Ochkanatlan is located and activate the Pyro Archon statue, which will start the “Lost Traveler in the Abode of Ash” chain, but you don’t have to complete it in full.
Then move towards the main island in the north and activate the teleporter inside the building there. Exit the tower, turn left and run to the cliff, and then turn left again on the stairs. At the bottom, you will find a yellow barrier that can be removed using the switch installed nearby.
Go inside the room, deal with a group of Hilichurls, open the rich chest and jump down the hole in the floor to get to the Well of Seven Lights. Continue down, jumping down the next hole next to the ancient decree. This will take you deep underground.
How to Get and Use the Water-Rusted Key
Once at the bottom, transform into an Ictomysaurus using the blue transformation stone, then scan the drawing on the wall (LMB) and interact with the switch to activate the guardian of the mysterious source, which will raise a rich chest from the water. Next, place a platform under the chest (key “E”) and turn off the device.
The chest will fall down, and you can open it. Inside you will find Primogems and a Water-Corroded Key. The gif above shows the full solution to this puzzle. Now go to the grated door on the right and open it with the obtained key. Then jump into the next hole and glide down, opening a regular chest along the way.
How to Get Pyrocule for lattice
Once at the bottom of the cave, run forward along the tunnel until you reach a large area with a Void Mage. Defeat him and open the rich chest, then turn right and go down even further. Turn around and you will see your Saurian companion in the hole.
Enter the building, open the rich chest and move on. Deal with the enemy and turn into a coholasaurus. Then use a high jump to climb up, pick up the pyrocule and open the grated door.
How to Find and Use the Ancient flint key
Go back and start moving along the river to the teleporter. Activate it and turn into a cornucopia using the red transformation stone. Then fly to the other side. Along the way, you can unlock a rich chest by dealing with the automaton.
After going up the stairs, you will see a grate in front of you. Go to the device next to it and fill it with phlogiston to open the door. Go inside, pick up the key and deal with two injured automatons. Then turn into an Ictomysaur and start jumping up to get out of the tower.
Next, go to the monument on the left and insert the key into it. You will need to turn it once to the left (the “A” key), and then install it by pressing “Enter”. Watch a short cutscene, after which the corresponding quest will start. It will finally appear in your mission log – do not forget to start tracking it to see the next marker.
Move on
Open the rich chest, then jump off the cliff and fly to the large round hole on the opposite side of the pond. There will be a white light there that you need to interact with to collect the first Ancient Jade Fragment.
Then transform into a Kahalosaurus and swim forward. Get on land and climb the stone bridge. Deal with the Mimiflora here, and then transform into an Ictomysaurus using the blue transformation stone, scan the orange rune on the wall, turn around and place the cube under the grate (press “E”), as shown in the gif below.
Open a regular chest and take the elevator up. Move to the monument ahead and insert the key into it. To do this, you must first turn the figurine left or right twice so that its back side faces the screen, and then turn the key left and up and insert it into the slot (see gif below).
The water will go away, and you will be able to go down to the rich chest. Then go to the white light and pick up the second Ancient Jade Fragment. Transform into a Koholasaurus and start moving forward. On the way, open the normal chest on the left on the ledge.
Once in a spacious area with the dragon statue, swim into the tunnel ahead. Before that, you can take the regular chest from the statue.
After swimming into the tunnel, break the crystal with the barrier by dashing forward (LMB). You will find yourself in a spacious cave with explosive barrels and shockwaves. Jump to avoid attacks, then jump onto the moving platform and jump from it into the round hole. The gif below shows the whole process.
Next, turn into a tepetlizaur, use its skill to burrow underground and start using the attack button (LMB) to destroy crystals, dig up a regular chest (located at the very beginning of the cave) and collect ore. Beware of the mines along the way. When a huge crystal falls, go through the passage to a new area.
Go to the monument and insert the key into it. After that, deal with the gloomy mimiflora that appears. Then start solving the riddle – turn the figure as follows: up, right, left, left, up, up. At the end, press the “Enter” key, and you will solve the puzzle. The gif below demonstrates the whole process.
How to Find Out Where the Sound Is Coming From
Open the Rich Chest behind the monument and jump down through the round hole. Go to the white light on the round platform at the foot of the dragon statue and pick up the third Ancient Jade Fragment. Then stand in the center of the marked area and chat with Ishlel.
You will learn that she was imprisoned in a statue and will ask you to find parts of her heart to free her from captivity. If by this point you have picked up all 3 fragments of jade, then you will have the opportunity to immediately put them into the stone statue. Otherwise, return to the places that we indicated earlier.
How to Free Ishlel from Shackles and Dodge Attacks
After installing the fragments, you will see that the statue is bound with chains with crystals. You will turn into a Koholasaurus. Go to the first crystal and press the attack button (LMB) to destroy it.
This will cause the water level to rise, and two more fire crystals will become available to you. This will also create shock waves that you need to avoid. Gain speed, jump out of the water, and perform attacks to destroy the stones. The gif below shows how to do this.
Then the Guardian of the Mysterious Source will start attacking you, launching projectiles at you along various trajectories, creating shock waves, shooting laser beams and creating powerful explosions. You will need to dodge these attacks. At the same time, do not be afraid to sometimes get hit, since the Zavrian has quite a lot of health, so you can easily withstand a dozen hits.
Take the heart
After surviving all the attacks, you will see that the water has risen even higher. Now destroy the three remaining crystals – jumping out of the water and performing dash attacks. After that, swim to the statue and interact with it to pick up the Perfect Heart of the Sacred Dragon. Note that as of patch 5.2, this item has no use.
You will try to talk to the statue again, but it will not answer you. This will end the mission. As a reward, you will receive 450 adventure points, 50 primogems, 50 thousand mora, 5 hero books and 4 magic ore of enhancement. Plus, you will unlock the trophy “Offering of Eternal Tranquility”.
Luxurious Chest and the Exit from the Cave
But that's not all. Go to the round passage directly opposite the statue and you will find a luxurious chest here. Then go to the table and place the Ancient Flint Key on it to create a Phlogiston Flow.
Transform into a Koholasaurus using the blue transformation stone located nearby, and Jump into this stream. As a result, it will lead you to the exit of the cave.
