Palace of the Illusory Serpent in Genshin Impact: How to Find Shards and Clear Abyssal Pollution

How to start

The quest should start automatically immediately after completing the previous one, “Adventure in the Kingdom of Mists”, in which you will find and open a hidden passage.

Enter the ruins

Go down the stairs you opened in the previous quest.

Go further. On the way, do not forget to open the door with the mechanism and pick up the rich chest.

Defeat a small group of Hilichurls and, going a little further, go even lower.

Approach the Suspicious Core

To pass through the archway trapped in the Void Vortex, you will first have to clear the corruption.

Climb a little higher and pick up two shining fragments.

Place one of the shards in the glowing pillar next to the passage. A monster will run out of the opened arch – try not to lead it away from the pillar to quickly knock down its void barrier.

Find a way to clear Void Pollution

You have to find 3 shining pillars and place shards in each of them.

First pillar

Follow the path to the next shining pillar and place the remaining fragment in it.

Second Pillar

Continue along the same path and fly over the chasm. When you reach the pillar, turn left and enter the room with another pillar. Take the shard from it and activate the lift.

After going down, you will find another pillar from which you can take the shard. Activate the mechanism nearby to open the door. Then climb the wooden stairs and, returning to the empty pillar, place both found shards there. Along the way, by the way, you will find two pyrocules.

The Third Pillar

From the second pillar, fly east to the ruined bridge. Take the first shard next to it and place it in the pillar at the nearest Void Vortex.

Collect another Pyrocule and go down the hole in the floor.

Pick up the rusty key in the cabinet and activate the mechanism to open the door.

Use the lift to return to the pillar.

Take the shard nearby and go past the strong filth to the closed gate.

Open the gate with the Rusty Key.

You will find yourself at the very first glowing pillar, from which you can extract the last shard. Return to the last pillar and place both shards there.

Investigate a Suspicious Fallen Core

Go down to the core and defeat several waves of monsters. At one point, an automaton will appear next to the core, which will protect it from enemies, so you can not monitor the state of the core and fight calmly.
