Pierrot in Genshin Impact is the creator of the Fatui organization and leader Harbingers, also known by the title “Jester”. The name, image and character of Pierrot
Like the names of the other Harbingers, the name Pierrot refers us to the commedia dell'arte. In this genre, Pierrot is usually presented as a sad jester, in love with Columbine and rival with Harlequin.
There is also an opinion that the name Pierrot may be a diminutive form of the name Pierre, which is closely related to the name Peter. This, in turn, may be a reference to Peter I, the first emperor of the Russian Empire. He carried out many reforms and created the “Table of Ranks,” just like Pierrot, who organized the system of ranks in Snezhnaya.
For the rest of the Harbingers, Pierrot remains a mysterious character about whom little is known, although the leader himself knows almost everything about his subordinates. He appears before his associates only at important meetings and gives out instructions. Pierrot probably knows many of the secrets of Teyvat and its false sky, but does not share this knowledge with other Harbingers.
If we talk about Pierrot’s worldview, the leader of the Harbingers professes the “virtue of stupidity.” Most likely, this refers us to Erasmus of Rotterdam’s “Praise of Folly.” In this satirical work, Folly itself asserts that science and art are the two curses of the human race; It is better to rely on nature than to try to explore it. So Pierrot decided to accept that the world in Teyvat and beyond is incomprehensible and irrational.
The leader of the Harbingers is an extremely purposeful and confident person in his intentions. He does not even consider the possibility that his plans with the Queen might fail. His character can also be judged by his speech, which we heard inLazzo on a Winter Night. He is calm and reasonable, but at the same time decisive.
Pierrot's appearance
The most noticeable detail in Pierrot's image is his eyes, or rather, his pupils in the shape of the Source Stone. They indicate his belonging to the Kaenri'ah people, to the Black Sun dynasty.
Pierrot is a tall, gray-haired man wearing a white coat/cloak with a fur collar. His costume contains mainly white, blue and gold colors. Half of the Harbinger's face is occupied by a dark blue mask, somewhat similar to the one Dainsleif wears. She probably also hides traces of decay, which are a consequence of the curse of immortality.
Pierrot's Story
Life in Kaenri'ah
Before the disaster in Kaenri'ah, Piero was a court magician under King Irmin. He had worse abilities than other magicians and could not influence his ruler. When a catastrophe occurred in his state, Pierrot became disillusioned with the heavenly order. As a purebred Kaenrian, Pierrot received the curse of immortality from Ronova.
Creation of Fatui and the Harbingers
After the fall of his native region, Pierrot joined the Queen and, together with her, began to implement a plan to capture the Hearts of God of the remaining Archons to oppose the heavenly order. Together they created the Fatui military organization. Pierrot also founded the Harbinger community. He is their leader, but does not have a serial number like the others.
Over 400 years ago, the Jester recruited one of the first Harbingers, Zandik, a researcher from Sumeru Academy who later received the name and title of Dottore. Through the Doctor, he came across the Kabukimono doll – after becoming a Harbinger, the doll received the name Scaramuccia (Storyteller).
Thanks to Pierrot, Rosalina-Kruchka Loefalter, who received the title of Signora, also became a Harbinger. The Jester personally gave her the Cryo Eye of Corruption, which allowed the woman to restrain her inner flame.
Finally, thanks to Pierrot, the orphan from the Hearth House, Peruer, also became a Harbinger. After defeating the head of the orphanage, Krukabena, the girl was pardoned by the Queen and accepted into the ranks of Fatui. She received the name Harlequin and the title “Servant”. Arlequin was also granted a personal audience with Pierrot, during which the Jester revealed to her some secrets known to him about the Scarlet Moon Dynasty, of which Peruer was a descendant.
Tartaglia, who became the Harbinger at the behest Pulcinella, received his Eye of Corruption personally from Pierrot, as a badge of honor for valor and fighting spirit.

Pierrot does not leave Snezhnaya and remains a close servant of the Queen, giving instructions to other Harbingers and acting through them in the rest of the regions of Teyvat.

The Jester has not yet appeared in the game in person, not counting cutscenes and game trailers. Apparently, he will have the highest male model, like Varka.
When talking about the possible playability of a character, you can never be sure when talking about the Harbingers. Commedia dell'arte masks are divided into Zanni and Vecchi.
