In Genshin Impact, the Fragment of the Rainbow Inscription is a special collectible that can contain a message from an ancient civilization. These items are simple stone tablets that can be found in Natlan. For them, you can get a luxurious chest and the trophy “Will it work?” In this guide, we will tell you how exactly to get them, and what they are for.
How to find all fragments of the Rainbow Inscription in Natlan
At this point in time, you can find four ancient tablets in the game. To do this, you will have to complete certain quests and trials. Below we will indicate which ones.
First fragment of the rainbow inscription
You will need to start and complete a long quest called “May the sleeping rest in peace” from the “Shadows of the Mountains” chain. At the end, you will be able to get a luxurious chest, inside of which there will be a corresponding item.
Second Fragment of the Rainbow Inscription
Take on the quest “The Seeker Does Not Find” from the “A Tale of Dreams Snatched from the Fire” line and complete it. At the end, you will automatically receive another Stone Tablet.
The third fragment of the Rainbow Inscription
To get it, you need to take on the mission “Revelations of the Past” from the chain “Between Promise and Oblivion”. At the end, you will find yourself in a special area where you need to interact with the seal. A luxurious chest will appear next to it, inside which you will find the item you need.
The fourth fragment of the Rainbow Inscription
To get it, head to the Secret Island of the Fire Thief, located in the southeastern part of Natlan. Initially, it will not be marked on the map, but you will see its teleporter. Go there and complete 4 challenges to get a luxurious chest, where another tablet is hidden.
How to Use Fragments of the Rainbow Inscription
The stone tablets you have collected can be viewed in your inventory under the “Quest” section. Their description says that they may contain a message left by an ancient dragon civilization that once existed in Natlan. Perhaps some scholar will be interested in them.
Travel to the teleporter north of the Sacred Flame Stadium, and then continue north until you reach a makeshift camp where a researcher named Chuno works.
Enter into dialogue with him and listen to his request. He will ask you to look for fragments. Since you already have them, talk to him again and give him all 4 tablets. As a result, you will immediately unlock the “Will this work?” achievement and a luxurious chest.
Chuno will also say that it will take a long time to decipher the inscription. Perhaps you will be able to find out the message in a few real days or in the next patch.
