Memory of Mistakes at Work in Zenless Zone Zero is a special research order in which you will have to help a Belobog employee get a lost sample without damaging the drill. In the walkthrough we will tell you how to start the quest and protect the instrument, fighting off enemies with special shells, and also how to get the achievement “Brilliant performance”.

How to start
The quest becomes available after completing the story chapter “Call from the depths of the cavern?..” Teleport to the repair zone of the construction site on Kazarok Street and go straight ahead, towards the excavator. There, talk to a girl named Dana.
She will tell you that she lost an important sample, and in order to get it, she will have to use Boer. You have to protect the instrument from the ethereals.
Use a company car or navigator to get to the video rental store. Use the HDD system to start fulfilling the order.
The game recommends taking characters of level 24 and above into the team. It's best to form a party of characters with different damage types, as the enemies you encounter have different weaknesses and resiliences.
Protect the Drill
Once you enter the cavern, you can immediately collect the shearlings. Then use the cannons at the top and bottom of the field to destroy monsters. The projectiles move towards the target as you move around the field.
Take the supply box and go to the next level. Here you will have to defeat 9 waves of enemies, preventing them from reaching the drill. The tool can withstand up to 12 hits, but to get all the rewards, monsters cannot be allowed near the drill.
First wave
At the beginning, enemies will appear on rows 1 and 3. First, fire a projectile from the upper cannon, then from the third.
Second wave
Next, two strong monsters will appear in the middle of the field (rows 3–4).
To destroy them you will need 2 shells each. After one shot, the gun needs a little time to reload. First fire a shell on the 3rd row, then on the 4th. Walk around the field a little until the guns are ready (an animation will appear as the shell is inserted into the weapon), and fire two more shots.
The Third Wave
The next wave of enemies will be scattered across the field. You will also unlock a booster in the very bottom cell. With it, by paying a certain amount of sherlings, you can unlock the launch buttons.
By pressing this button and firing from the cannon opposite it, you will immediately release a powerful projectile that can destroy even a strong enemy at once.
First, activate the lower launch button closest to you. Then move up, press the button and fire at a strong enemy.
The next enemies are on the 3rd and 4th rows. Fire normal projectiles from the third and fourth cannons. Then go down to the bottom cannon and fire a reinforced projectile at the monster.
Go back to rows 3 and 4 and alternately fire projectiles until the enemies are destroyed .
Fourth wave
At this stage, enemies with explosives will appear. When they are hit by a projectile, they also destroy nearby monsters vertically and horizontally.
Go to the amplifier and activate the launch buttons to use them again.
Press the bottom button again, then the top one. Fire a projectile from the top cannon, then from the bottom one.
The Fifth Wave
Golden Banbus will appear in the first row, giving many Sherlings. They do not attack the drill and can run away, but they must be destroyed to get all possible rewards for the quest.
Immediately activate the buttons in the amplifier, press the bottom one again, then the top one.
Shoot the top cannon, destroying 3 banba. Go down to the bottom and send the projectile to the remaining banbu.
Go to the amplifier and use the received gearlings to activate and unlock the launch buttons.
Sixth wave
Click the two lower launch buttons.
Fire projectiles from 4 and 3 cannons to destroy nearby enemies. Then climb to the upper cage and press the button. Destroy the approaching monsters.
Go down to the middle guns (3rd and 4th rows) and fire a shell from each.
Once you reach the bottom cell, fire a powerful projectile at a strong enemy. Go to the booster menu, unlock and activate the launch buttons. You will unlock all 6 buttons, which will give you the “Brilliant Performance” achievement.
Climb up and fire 4 and 3 cannons in turn.
Go to the top cell, press the button and shoot a reinforced projectile.
Return to the 4th gun, press the button and destroy the strong enemy on this row.
Seventh Wave
Go up one square and press the start button on the 3rd row. Go down one square and fire a projectile.
Go to the amplifier, activate the 2 buttons.
Press the bottom button and release the projectile.
Go up to the 4th row and shoot, then fire a projectile from the 3rd cannon, destroying a whole row of enemies.
Reach the top cell, press the button and destroy the two Banbas with explosives.
Then fire shells from guns 3, 4 and 6 one by one.
Go to the amplifier store and activate 2 buttons.
Return to row 4 and shoot. Then unleash a powerful projectile from cannon 5 before the monster reaches the drill.
Take turns firing 3 and 5 cannons, destroying the remaining Banbus.
Fire 3 and 5 cannons in turn, destroying the remaining Banbus.
The Eighth Wave
From the bottom cell, go through all the buttons, then go back down to the bottom row. Shoot to destroy 3 golden banbus.
Activate the two buttons in the amplifier, return to the bottom cannon and shoot the remaining banbus.
The Ninth Wave
Shoot cannons 3 and 4 several times. When a new enemy appears below, go down and fire a projectile at him.
Next again shoot from 3, 4 and 6 guns.
Fire another projectile from the 4th cannon. Reach the 2nd row and send a bullet to the approaching enemy.
Use the upper cannon, fire a reinforced projectile at two monsters.
Go down to last row and fire a projectile at the remaining enemy.
Leave the cavern
On the last field, collect data packets, money and supplies. Head to the final cage.
Fight three waves of enemies.
