In Genshin ImpactRestoring Old Torn Notes is a minigame in patch 5.1 and part of the Iktomi Spirit Search Scrolls global event. During the event, you will have to collect broken fragments by solving small puzzles with puzzles. As a reward, you will receive Primogems, Ascension Materials, and Smoke Crystals. In this guide, we will tell you how to complete all its modes.
How to Start the Restoring Old Torn Notes Minigame
First of all, you will need to start and complete the first story quest of the event under the obsession “Nightwind's Letter”, which allows you to unlock access to all the event challenges.
After that, simply go to the event page, click on the “Soul Search Ritual” button, select the appropriate trial and start it. Then teleport to the cave located south of the Night Wind Lords settlement. There, interact with the spiritual bench.
Twilight Fragment: Sanhaj
This is the first puzzle that you will have to solve already within the framework of the above-mentioned story quest. However, just in case, we will duplicate its solution here:
- Place the neck piece on the bottom half of the blue area.
- Place the face piece on the top of the neck area.
- Place the blue collar piece on the bottom of the neck.
- Place the headdress piece on the top of the face.
- Finally place the amulet piece on the top of the blue collar.

Twilight Fragment: Menelik
This is the second puzzle of the challenge, in which you will have to assemble another portrait of an ancient warrior from Natlan. To do this, follow these steps:
- Place the fragment with the brown face outlines under the existing fragment on the playing field.
- Place the gray-brown clothing fragment located in the upper right corner under the previously established face outlines.
- Place the fragment with the painted face on top of the face outlines and clothing elements.
- Place the red hat fragment directly above the face.
- Place the bright yellow hat fragment above the previous fragment.
- Finally, place the gray clothing piece above the previous gray-brown fragment.
