After the battle with Sakuko, the story of Silent Hill f takes us to the dark corridors of Ebisugaoka High School. Here, Hinako will have to face a series of challenges: from finding lost keys to deciphering Rinko's secret box. How to open the secret box
The box consists of movable dies: you need to move and rotate the sides of the box, revealing the corresponding drawings. For each step you solve, you receive a new, unopened envelope containing clues for the next step.
At each stage, Rinko's letters to Shu contain keywords: βsweet and tart fruitβ β for the first stage, βfrompagesβ β stage 2, βsakuraβ- stage 3. They will serve as a hint to the icons that need to be opened by sliding the tiles. At the βPlotβ difficulty level, these words are highlighted in the letter; at more complex levels they are not highlighted, but the logic is the same.
Riddle solution for each difficulty
Plot
- Features: only 8 white tiles are active, hints in the letter are highlighted.
- Stage 1: open the strawberries and cherries on opposite sides.
- Stage 2: open 3 book icons. There are 2 books on one side, 1 on the opposite side.
- Stage 3: Find and open the sakura branch. After solving it, you will receive a key to the classroom on the second floor.
Difficult
- Features: brown tiles are available that move in both directions, a total of 12 icons per stage.
- Stage 1: open the apple on one side, cherry and a slice of orange, on the other β strawberries, pineapple and grapes.
- Stage 2: open all 4 books β 3 on one side, 1 on the other
- Step 3: Find two images of a cherry blossom on one side and one flowering tree on the other.
Lost in the Fog
- Features: all tiles are active, and the number of required icons has been increased.
- Stage 1: show cherries, strawberries, berries on one side and pineapple, on the other β a slice of orange and an apple
- Stage 2: open all the books β 4 on one side and 1 on the other.
- Step 3: Find 4 cherry blossom pictures β 3 on one side and 1 on the other. What you need is flowering twigs, not trees or flowers in pots.
What to do after opening the box
Unlock the locked doors inthe classroom on the second floor with the key you found earliereast wing of the school. In the music room, take the annex key and a note for the teacher: it says that Ayumi found the key to the key cabinet, but left it in her personal locker.
In the next office, which opens with the same key, you will find an origami fox β it contains code 377, suitable for the TT locker.
Now go down to the first floor. From the area with shoe lockers, move up and go up the steps. Use the new key to open the door to the annex. Here you will find several notes, some of which are encrypted using a strange girly code.

After examining the room, collect several origami figures, the key to the locker room and Asakura's textbook, where the code is hidden (it differs depending on the difficulty level). On the teacher's desk, pay attention to the note with the note: βAyumi Asakura β row 4, place 2β β this hint will help you while looting the office.
When you return back to the corridor, be prepared β mannequins will spawn there and begin to attack. The farthest of the notes explains how girl code works: Latin letters are replaced by numbers similar in shape, plus there are additional rules (for example, 6 = U, Y = x, D = 7).

How to open other lockers in the locker room
If you want to delve more into the lore, explore locations 100%, or find something useful, there are several more lockers in the locker room that can be opened. The codes from them do not change regardless of what difficulty you play on:
- Aoi Takeshi (Aoi) β AOI β Β 401, origami is stored inside, which will indicate the code from Suga's locker; the item changes on repeated playthroughs.
- Suga Yoshie β SOS β 505, reward: school bag, which slightly expands inventory capacity.
- Tsuchiya Taiko/TT β enter 377, reward: Omamori wolf or other items when repeated passing in NG+.
