In Genshin Impact Sea Feather is a local curiosity of Natlan, necessary for the ascension of a number of heroes and the creation of useful tools. You will need a considerable amount of these plants, so in this guide we decided to show you where you can find and buy them.
Note: The exact location of the materials on the map will be shown after the release of update 5.0. For now, you can read the information on what they are needed for and how to prepare for their collection.
What is Sea Feather for in Genshin Impact
At the moment, it is necessary for leveling up only one character – Mualani. However, even to elevate just one hero, you will need 168 pieces of these soft corals, so you should be prepared for their long and rather tedious farming.
Let's add that these plants are also required to craft an extremely useful gadget using Alchemy:
- Pyrocula Echo Stone = Quenep Berry x5 + Sea Feather x5 + Crystal Fragment x1 + 500 Mora
With this tool, you can significantly simplify your search for pyrocules in Natlan, as it will mark the location of the closest fire particles to you.
Preparing to collect Sea Feather
Recommended characters
You can collect these corals with any heroes, but if you plan to seriously farm them (that is, make not a 5-minute sortie, but arrange a real trip for 30-40 minutes), then we advise you to take several characters in your squad, which will allow you to significantly reduce the time it takes to collect this curiosity. All of them are listed in the table below.
Characters | Features |
---|---|
Nahida | Her elemental skill will allow you to quickly collect curiosities from afar. This will save you from having to climb trees, ledges, and other hard-to-reach places. |
Mualani Kachina Kinich | Shows all the nearby local curiosities of Natlan on the minimap. |
E Lan | Can cover both long and short distances very quickly in the absence of obstacles with its elemental skill. |
Ember Colley Venti | Reduces the active hero's stamina consumption while using a glider by 20 percent. The bonus does not stack. |
Kirara | Allows you to quickly overcome small or medium ledges thanks to her elemental skill. |
Yae Miko | Can increase its movement speed by placing Electro Totems (Elemental Skill). |
Wanderer | With its elemental skill, it can hover above the ground, allowing you to quickly overcome small bodies of water, pits, and crevices. It can also fly up, which will help you get to hard-to-reach locations. |
Kaeya Razor Kazuha Heizo | Reduces the active hero's stamina consumption during sprinting by 20 percent. The bonus is not cumulative |
Xian Yun | She is able to quickly soar into the sky with her elemental skill, allowing her to easily climb high ledges. |
Xiao Kandakiya | Reduces the active hero's stamina consumption when climbing rocks and other vertical surfaces by 20 percent. The bonus does not stack. Can make additional dashes thanks to his elemental skill. |
Bei Dou Kokomi | Reduces the active hero's stamina consumption while swimming by 20 percent. The bonus is not cumulative. |

Furina | Can run on water for a very long time thanks to its elemental skill, helping to quickly overcome water obstacles. |
Saiyu | If you hold down the heroine's elemental skill for a long time, she will turn into a wind wheel, which will significantly increase her movement speed. Often, moving it turns out to be even faster than sprinting. |
Rosaria | The movement speed of team members increases by 10% during the dark hours (from 18:00 to 06:00) thanks to the heroine's passive skill “Path in the Night”. |
Dehya | The movement speed of team members increases by 10% during daylight hours (from 06:00 to 18:00) thanks to the heroine's passive skill “Solar Path”. |
2x Anemo character | Anemo Resonance “Nimble Wind” appears, which reduces stamina consumption by 15% and increases movement speed by 10 percent. |
Don't forget to also take a large number of stamina-building dishes with you and add them to your dry rations so that you can use them immediately.
How long does it take for Sea Feather to respawn
As with other types of local curiosities, these plants respawn exactly after 48 real-time hours after being collected.. So after visiting the best farming spots, just wait a couple of days and then go through these routes again or ask to go to your friends' worlds.
Where to find Sea Feathers in Genshin Impact
The official description says that Sea Feathers are a special type of feather-shaped plant that grows near the sea. It looks like sea grass, but is actually soft coral. You can find these materials in the wild in the Toyek Creek area, near the Folk of Wellsprings.
All farming spots will be revealed after patch 5.0 is released. We also advise you to keep an interactive map of Natlan in front of you to better navigate the area.
Where to buy Sea Feathers
Unfortunately, at the moment, this local curiosity cannot be purchased from anyone. However, you can get a little during test runs and hero birthdays. Plus, a few sea feathers are given out for some quests in the world of Natlan. Of course, these methods are not as effective as farming, so there is no escape from it.
