Shilonen in Genshin Impact: a guide to the best build

In Genshin Impact, Shilonen is a 5-star character belonging to the Geo element and using a one-handed sword in battles. In a team, she can play the role of a support, healer, and damage dealer (under certain conditions). In this guide you will be able to learn about her best build, weapons and artifacts, as well as recommended squads with her.

Note: Nanatskajana Name Engraver has not yet been officially released, so the information provided here is based on information obtained during beta testing. We will update the guide if necessary when the heroine is released in the game.

Main Features of Shilonen

How to Get Shilonen

In the first phase of update 5.1, this blacksmith girl from Natlan will appear in the banner, which will increase her chance to drop. In the future, this character can only be obtained through Prayers. Unfortunately, HoYoverse has never held an event that rewards a 5-star event fighter, so you definitely won't be able to get Nanatskian's Name Engraver for free.

Shilonen's Abilities

When performing a normal attack, Ehecatl's RoarThe heroine performs up to 3 strikes in a row, and when charged, she spends a small amount of stamina and attacks in front of her. When performing a strike while falling, she quickly rushes to the ground, hitting all enemies in her path, and after landing, she deals damage to the area. The damage from strikes while falling depends on defense, not attack.

When the heroine enters the Night Spirit Blessing state, she activates her Roller Blades, causing her normal attack to give her the ability to perform up to 4 roller strikes. However, she loses the ability to perform charged strikes. In this mode, normal attacks and falling attacks depend on defense and deal Geo damage (cannot be canceled by other infusions) with the Night Spirit characteristic.

Explanation: If we take the standard set of attacks, they are unremarkable blows for most swordsmen, which you are unlikely to use outside of the elemental skill. After using it, the heroine begins to hit enemies with skates, inflicting pure Geo damage. The damage indicators are quite average (compared to top DDs), so it is, of course, possible to make her an active damage dealer, but it is not recommended (especially without C6).

After using the elemental skill “Scratch Youal”the heroine dashes forward, dealing a forward attack with Geo damage that depends on defense, gains 45 units of Night Spirit and enters the Night Spirit Blessing state, which grants her Roller Blades.

At the same time, the engraver receives 3 samplers, which, depending on the elemental types of other team members, create different sound canvases and reduce the corresponding elemental resistance of nearby enemies when they are in active mode.

The source sample of all three samplers is Geo, and for each ally with the Pyro, Hydro, Cryo, or Electro attributes, 1 Geo sample is transformed into the corresponding element.

When the heroine is under the effect of the Night Spirit's Blessing, her Geo Source Sample is always active. With the passive “Echo of Netotiliztli”, the blacksmith girl is able to restore her Night Spirit points. When their number reaches the maximum value, she spends all these points and activates three existing Source Samples for 15 seconds. While the Source Samples are active, the resistance of the corresponding elements of the enemies decreases. The effects of samples of the same element do not stack. They can be activated even if Shilonen is not on the battlefield.

Let's add that after entering the state of blessing, the heroine begins to continuously spend Night Spirit points. If they run out (it will no longer be possible to create new ones using the passive) or the skill is used again, the current blessing will immediately end. It has the following properties:

  • Switches to the Roller Blades mode, which increases the character's movement and climbing speed, and while climbing, she will be able to perform high-speed jumps in the form of an ocelot.
  • When the heroine is in the state of blessing, her Night Spirit points last no more than 9 seconds. As soon as this limit is exhausted, her points will be immediately spent.

Explanation: Shilonen's key ability, so let's look at it in as much detail as possible. As soon as you activate it, you'll get 45 Night Spirit points, but for SUPPORT you'll need 90 units, which you can get with the passive talent “Echo of Netotiliztli”, taking at least 2 heroes of the Pyro, Hydro, Electro or Cryo elements (the same ones will do), and performing 2 normal attacks on the enemy. The gif below shows the corresponding process with filling the scale.

As a result, 3 Shilonen samplers will be activated for 15 seconds, and the number of Night Spirit units will be reset to 0 and the heroine will exit the state of blessing. When these samplers are working, all enemies within a 10 meter radius of the active fighter will have their resistance to the elements specified in the samplers reduced. At the same time, the original Geo sampler will remain active, which is useful for the heroine as a damage dealer. Note that at skill level 10, enemy resistance will drop by 36% (for comparison, Emerald Shadow on Kazuha gives 40%, but is applied less conveniently and lasts less).

Luckily, you won't have to guess which sampler is currently active, as a special scale with three triangles will immediately appear to the left of the heroine. Initially, they will be painted yellow (Geo), but if there are heroes of the Pyro, Hydro, Electro or Cryo elements in the squad, these figures will be repainted in the corresponding colors (red, blue, purple or light blue). For example, in a team with 2 Pyros and 1 Cryo ally, 2 samplers will be red and 1 will be light blue. Dendro, Anemo and Shilonen herself are not taken into account, and identical samplers do not sum up resistance cuts, meaning 2 Pyro triangles will not give you a 72% drop in resistance to Pyro.

Shilonen in Genshin Impact: a guide to the best build

Now let's look at the option with DAMAGER. It is possible thanks to the state of blessing, in which normal attacks begin to inflict Geo damage. At the same time, this mode ends in three cases: when the Night Spirit points run out, the heroine leaves the battlefield, or she gains 90 units of Night Spirit.

Let's remember that the last option occurs if there is more than one Pyro, Hydro, Cryo or Electro hero in the team, that is, in such a team the blessing will disappear immediately after 2 normal hits of Shilonen, which, of course, is unacceptable if you plan to use her as a main DD. Therefore, you will definitely need to take Dendro, Anemo or Geo sub-DD and supports with her.

In this case, instead of cutting the resistance of other elements, she will receive a 30% bonus to damage from normal attacks and falling strikes. Note that the reduction in Geo resistance will continue to work, but only while the blacksmith girl is on the battlefield. At the same time, the blessing itself can last no more than 9 seconds (can be extended in Natlan with the help of phlogiston). We will add that the countdown of the skill cooldown begins only after the end of the blessing state, so you will have to use other heroes for 7 seconds until the cooldown is over.

Burst of the Elements “In the Rhythm of the Ocelot”gives the heroine the ability to deal Geo damage to an area, depending on her defense. Plus, the following effects can be activated:

  • If she has at least two Source Samples that have undergone elemental conversion, she will begin to periodically heal active characters proportionally to her defense.
  • If she has less than two Source Samples that have undergone elemental conversion, she will deal two more area attacks that deal Geo damage.

Explanation: This one is pretty simple. As a buffer (when there are at least 2 Pyro, Electro, Cryo or Hydro heroes in the squad), her ult will not only deal damage, but also start healing the active fighter for 12 seconds at 1.5 second intervals for 187.2% + 1102 (at skill level 10). An extremely important skill for a support, turning Shilonen into a good healer as well.

As a damage dealer (when there are less than 2 Pyro, Electro, Cryo or Hydro heroes in the squad), it simply deals increased damage (the total amount will be 1519% at level 10 of the ult). The indicators are not bad, however, normal attacks under the influence of the blessing will still be more effective. So the ult for the main DD will simply be a pleasant addition to the overall DPS, nothing more.

It is also impossible not to mention the extremely useful passive talents of the engraver. The first of them is called “Echo of Netotiliztli”and can grant the following effects when Shilonen is in the Night Spirit's Blessing state:

  • If Shilonen has at least two Elemental Conversion Source Samples, she gains 35 Night Spirit when she hits an enemy with her normal attack and falling attack. This effect can occur once every 0.1 seconds.
  • If she has less than two Elemental Conversion Source Samples, her normal attack and falling attack damage is increased by 30%.

Explanation: It is she who determines whether she will be a support or a damage dealer. That is, if there are less than two Pyro, Hydro, Cryo or Electro heroes in the team, she simply gets a 30% bonus to the damage of normal attacks and attacks in the Fall. If there are at least two such characters in the squad, she gets the opportunity to get additional Night Spirit points with two simple attacks, thereby gaining 90 units and activating samplers that cut off resistances.

Second – Portable armor word– Activates an effect similar to her Night Spirit Flash when the heroine is in a blessed state and has 90 Night Spirit points. Plus, when team members perform a flash, Shilonen's defense increases by 20% for 15 seconds.

Explanation: With it, you can guaranteedly activate the energy recovery effect from the artifact set “Scroll of the Hero of the Burnt City” if you play as a support (remember that it immediately gains 90 points). The second part of the passive will allow you to further increase your defense if there are other Natlan players in the team.

As for the third passive “Gift of the Realm of the Night: Blessing of the Forge Fire”, when Shilonen is in areas of Natlan with phlogiston mechanics, she can use Night Spirit Transfer. When the active character uses sprint, climbs, is in the movement state of some talents, or is at a certain height in the air, when switching to Shilonen, the following effect is activated: the heroine, appearing on the field, enters the state of Night Spirit Blessing and gains 20 Night Spirit points. In this case, the time limit of Shilonen's Night Spirit points is 4 seconds. If this limit is exceeded, Shilonen's Night Spirit points are instantly depleted. If Scratch Yowal is used during this limit, the time limit of Night Spirit points will be increased by 9 seconds. Night Spirit Transfer can be activated by your squad once every 10 seconds.

Also, in Natlan, while climbing in the Night Spirit's Blessing state, Shilonen will not consume stamina.

Explanation: In short, with this passive, you will be able to move around Natlan faster. You can even skate on vertical surfaces.

The heroine also has a special innate passive “Tepeyhuitl's March”, which restores 15 units of phlogiston in case of activation of the Night Spirit transmission.

Shilonen Constellations

To open them, you need to accumulate the character's Luck, which is given out when duplicates of the heroine fall out, which, of course, is random. Considering the small chance of getting 5-star characters, you will need to spend a lot of time and money to unlock all the constellations. However, even without them, Shilonen plays the role of a buffer/healer without any problems.

The table below provides a list of all constellations with their descriptions and benefits for the character.

NameDescriptionBenefit
Phrase of RestThe heroine's Night Spirit and Phlogiston consumption while blessed is reduced by 30%, and the duration limit of her Night Spirit points is increased by 45%. Plus, when Shilonen's Source Samples are active, she increases her resistance to interrupting active characters nearby. With this constellation, the heroine will be able to stay blessed for 13 seconds instead of 9, and it will be harder to interrupt active fighters. Not a very useful buff for a support, but it will come in handy for a damage dealer, as it will allow him to deal Geo damage longer.
Chiuque's Mix

Geo Source Samples are always active. When they are active, all team members whose element matches the Source Sample's element receive the following buffs:

  • Geo – damage dealt increases by 50%.
  • Pyro – attack power increases by 45%.
  • Hydro – max HP increases by 45%.
  • Cryo – critical damage increases by 60%.
  • Electro – restores 25 units of energy, and also reduces the cooldown of the elemental explosion by 6 seconds.
An excellent constellation that will be useful for both support and damage dealer. In the first role, Shilonen will be able to provide even more buffs to the squad, and in the second – to deal even more Geo damage. However, again, a lot here will depend on your squad. For example, not all Hydro DD abilities depend on HP, and Electro DDs do not always need more frequent use of the ult.
Tonalpohualli CycleThe skill level increases by three. Maximum level: 15.It will be very useful for support, as it will allow you to further reduce enemy resistance – at level 15 to 51%.
Trance of XochitlAfter using the heroine's E, she grants all team members Blooming Grace for 15 seconds, causing their normal, charged, and falling attack damage to be increased by 65% of Shilonen's defense. The bonus disappears after 6 activations or when its duration expires. If multiple enemies are hit at the same time, the number of activations is calculated according to the number of enemies hit. Blooming Grace is calculated for all party members separately. It would be a good buff for the main DD, whose role can be played by Shilonen herself, if not for the limitation of 6 attacks. So, in general, a useless constellation.
Tlaltecuhtli's PassageThe ult level increases by three. Maximum level: 15.Shilonen will be able to heal more effectively and deal a little more damage. Brings average benefit to the heroine.
Carnival of the Endless Night

When the heroine sprints, dashes, uses a normal attack, or uses a falling attack while in a blessed state, she will gain the Blessing of Everlasting Night. It ignores the limits of the blessed state and increases the damage of her normal attack and falling attack for 5 seconds.

During this period, the following buffs are in effect:

  • The countdown of her blessed state limit is suspended, and Shilonen's Night Spirit Points, Phlogiston, and Stamina will not decrease.
  • When her Night Spirit points reach the maximum, the blessing does not end. Plus, the damage of normal attacks and falling attacks while blessed increases by 300% of her defense.
  • Every 1.5 seconds, she restores HP of nearby party members proportional to 120% of her defense.
  • She can receive Blessing of Everlasting Night once every 15 seconds.
An excellent constellation for a damage dealer, which significantly increases Shilonen's personal damage. However, she will only deal increased damage for 5 seconds out of 15. Will she be able to achieve the same damage figures as the current top DDs? A big question.

If you decide to try your luck, then we recommend you stop at C1 and C2, which allow you to significantly strengthen the heroine both as a support and as a damage dealer. However, if you have a choice between the first Constellation and a signature weapon, then we advise you to choose the second option, as it will bring much more benefit, especially to the buffer.

How to play Shilonen

A lot here depends on what role you plan to assign to Shilonen – support or damage dealer. Below we will analyze both options so that you roughly understand what is what.

Support

The ideal role for Shilonen, and incredibly easy to use, since all you need to do is take at least two Pyro, Electro, Cryo or Hydro heroes to your team, and then press the skill button on the battlefield and perform two normal attacks to reduce the resistance of nearby enemies for 15 seconds.

Shilonen in Genshin Impact: Guide to the Best Build

Apart from everything else, you can easily heal your active character using the heroine's elemental explosion. If you take a weapon to restore energy, then you can quite easily use the ult every rotation. Thus, you do not even have to take a healer into the squad, since the blacksmith girl can close this position.

We will add that it is highly recommended to equip the heroine with the artifact set “Scroll of the Hero of the Burnt City”, which gives a significant elemental damage bonus to allies, but requires a slight change in rotation. You will have to apply Pyro, Electro, Cryo or Hydro statuses to enemies before Shilonen enters the battlefield so that she can summon the Crystal and thereby activate the passive of the set.

By the way, it is because of this condition that you will have to take at least one hero of the above elements even in a Geo mono pack with Shilonen, otherwise you will not see the bonus from the set. Plus, if you want to create such a squad, you will definitely need to open C2, because only with it the Geo sample will always be active.

Shilonen in Genshin Impact: guide to the best build

As for the ease of play, in some teams there will be no problems (for example, with Harlequin), and in others you will have to perform a couple of additional body movements. In any case, it is much more comfortable than with Kazuha, when using which there are often difficulties with double Dispersion or the spread of a specific element.

So, if we summarize all this information, then the optimal rotation for Shilonen will look like this:

  1. If you are wearing the Scroll of the Burnt City Hero, be sure to attack enemies with a Pyro, Hydro, Cryo, or Electro hero (preferably a main DD or a character with the same element) to inflict the corresponding status on them.
  2. Switch to Shilonen and use her elemental skill to enter the blessing state and perform a Geo strike, which will close the Crystal reaction and activate the passive of the above artifact set.
  3. Perform 2 normal attacks or falling strikes on enemies to gain 90 points of Night Spirit and activate samplers, reducing the resistance of enemies to the elements of your allies.
  4. Switch back to the main damage dealer to deal the main damage to enemies.
  5. You can use Elemental Explosion when ready or for emergency healing of the active character.

Damager

This is where things get a bit more complicated. First, let's reiterate that there shouldn't be more than one Pyro, Hydro, Electro or Cryo character in a team, otherwise you won't be able to get the damage bonus to normal attacks, so you'll definitely have to include Geo, Anemo and/or Dendro heroes in your team. Secondly, you will have to balance her stats more carefully, since you will have to pay attention not only to defense, but also to crits.

Thirdly, without C1, C2 and C6, Shilonen's overall damage will be mediocre at best, so decide for yourself whether you are ready to spend the time and money to get Geo DD (C6), whose damage will be comparable to the current top damage dealers without constellations.

You will still have to play through the elemental skill – you need to activate the E-key, and then deal increased Geo damage to enemies with normal attacks for 9 (13 or 15) seconds. After that, wait until the E-key cooldown is over and repeat the procedure. When using the Scroll of the Hero of the Burnt City, you must first attack enemies with a Pyro, Hydro, Cryo or Electro character.

Also, don't forget that you'll have to dash to dodge enemy attacks, which speed up the consumption of Night Spirit points, and therefore Geo Infusion may last even less than 9 (15) seconds. Or you can try playing without dodging, but then you'll have to take a good healer/shielder in your squad.

In general, the optimal Shilonen rotation in this case will look like this:

  1. If you have the Scroll of the Burnt City Hero, be sure to attack enemies with a Pyro, Hydro, Cryo, or Electro hero (preferably a main DD or a character with the same element), and also use the skills of your sub-DDs and supports that act from the pocket.
  2. Switch to Shilonen, activate her skill, and start hitting enemies for 9 (13 or 15) seconds, activating the Crystal and dealing increased Geo damage to them.
  3. After the blessing state ends, you will have 7 seconds to use the abilities of your sub-DDs and supports again, after which you can switch to Shilonen again and use her skill.
  4. Use the ult when ready. It deals average damage, so it will simply be a pleasant bonus to the heroine's overall DPS.

Advantages and disadvantages of Shilonen

Using her unique abilities, this heroine can significantly strengthen her allies. Her advantages also include:

  • An extremely useful buffer, capable of significantly reducing enemy resistance to Geo, Pyro, Hydro, Cryo and Electro elements, which is why it will be a great addition to any damage dealer of the specified attributes. In terms of usefulness, it is not inferior to Kazuha with Emerald Shadow or Zhongli with Archaic Stone.
  • It is capable of not only buffing allies, but also healing them with its elemental explosion, thereby closing the healer's position.
  • It has a relatively simple gameplay that does not require memorizing complex combinations and choosing the right moments for optimal rotation, so it is suitable for beginners.
  • Has high base defense, which also gets a bonus when elevated. Let us remind you that the effectiveness of all Shilonen's abilities depends on this parameter.
  • An extremely simple build if Shilonen is used as a support – it is enough to maximize her defense indicator and slightly increase energy recovery for more frequent use of the ult.
  • She is an excellent carrier of the artifact set Scroll of the Hero of the Burnt City, giving an additional bonus to damage, both to herself and to her allies.
  • She can perfectly play the role of a support without constellations, which will certainly appeal to F2P players. At the same time, C2 can give a significant bonus to her abilities as a support character.
  • Significantly simplifies the exploration of the game world, since when activating the skill, she begins to roller skate, which significantly increases her movement speed and allows her to quickly climb vertical surfaces. This will be especially useful in Natlan.

Shilonen in Genshin Impact: guide to the best build

However, it is still impossible to call Shilonen an ideal character, since she also has her drawbacks:

  • Shilonen can be turned into a damage dealer, but this will require significant investment from you. Ideally, you will need to open the 6th constellation, as well as properly balance the characteristics (pay attention to crit damage and crit chance) and assemble a suitable squad, which will have less than two Hydro, Pyro, Cryo or Electro characters. At the same time, the heroine will still be inferior to the top main DDs.
  • If you use her only as a support, then almost half of her abilities become useless for her. The very fact of this can be a little annoying.
  • When using the Scroll of the Hero of the Burnt City set, it is imperative to apply Pyro, Electro, Hydro and Cryo statuses to enemies in order to then close the Crystal with Shilonen. Some may find this necessity boring.
  • To build a mono Geo pack, you definitely need C2 so that the Geo sample is active all the time.
  • She can only heal one active character, and the healing itself is stretched out over time, so it is difficult to classify her as one of the best healers in the game.

The best build for Shilonen

The best weapon

When choosing a one-handed sword, priority should be given to those items that increase defense or energy recovery. If you plan to make it a damage dealer, you can also take a weapon for critical damage or the chance of inflicting critical hits. The table below shows the most interesting options.

Name and rarityCharacteristics (level 1-90)Passive ability

Shilonen in Genshin Impact: a guide to the best build

Song of the Peak Patrol (5 stars)

Defense: 18%~83%

Base Attack: 44~542

When hitting an enemy with a normal attack or a falling strike, grants Oda to Flowers: it increases defense by 8-16% and gives a 10-20% bonus to damage to all elements. The duration of this effect can be 6 seconds, and it can be stacked up to two times and occurs no more than once every 0.1 seconds. When the bonus reaches level 2 or its duration is refreshed, for every 1000 points of defense of the owner, the damage bonus to all elements of all team members increases by 8-16% for 15 seconds. The maximum buff can be 25.6-51.2%.

Shilonen's signature weapon, which significantly increases her defense and personal damage, as well as damage to allies, so it will be useful for both a support and a damage dealer. To get the maximum bonus, the defense value must be 3200 units.

Shilonen in Genshin Impact: Guide to the Best Build

Uraku Misugiri (5 Stars)

Critical Damage: 19.2%~88.2%

Base Attack: 44~542

Increases damage from a normal attack by 16-32%, and elemental skills by 24-48%. Additionally, it increases these effects by 100% for 15 seconds if the active hero deals Geo damage. Plus, the owner's defense increases by 20-40%.

A great option for Shilonen as a damage dealer, which significantly increases personal damage and the effectiveness of abilities due to the increase in not only crits, but also defense. This blade will be of little use to a support.

Shilonen in Genshin Impact: Guide to the Best Build

Oath of Freedom (5 stars)

Elemental Mastery: 43~198

Base Attack: 46-608

Increases damage dealt by 10 percent and accumulates Talismans of Inspiration even when the character is not on the battlefield. After collecting two Talismans, they disappear, increasing allies' damage from normal and charged attacks by 16 percent and attack power by 20 percent.

Shilonen's elemental mastery is not needed, as is the damage increase (if we are talking about a support), but the buff to allies looks quite impressive, especially if you manage to quickly collect two talismans. In this case, the benefit for an ally of DD will be no less than from a signature. You will just have to get protection from artifacts.

Shilonen in Genshin Impact: a guide to the best build

Mist Cleaver (5 stars)

Critical Damage: 9.6~44.1%

Base Attack: 48~674

Grants a 12~24 percent bonus to elemental damage. When dealing elemental damage with normal attacks or elemental bursts, special seals are issued that grant up to an additional 56 percent bonus to elemental damage.

Another good option for Shilonen as a damage dealer, which will increase the heroine's crits and personal damage. She will be able to activate the passive without any problems, as she is able to deal Geo damage with normal attacks. However, again, you will have to get protection from artifacts.

Shilonen in Genshin Impact: a guide to the best build

Flute Espical (4 stars)

Attack power: 41-454

Protection: 15-69%

Using an elemental skill increases defense by 16-32% for 15 seconds.

Allows you to significantly increase the heroine's defense. For a support, this means that he will be able to heal allies better, and a damage dealer will be able to deal more damage.

Shilonen in Genshin Impact: a guide to the best build

Cinnabar Spindle (4 stars)

Defense: 15%~69%

Base attack: 41~454

Increases damage from the skill by 40-80% of Defense. The bonus appears once every one and a half seconds and disappears 0.1 seconds after the enemy is damaged by E-shka.

Slightly worse than the previous option, since it provides less defense, and damage for Shilonen's E-shka is not very important. Unfortunately, beginners will not be able to get it in any way, since it was given as a reward for completing the event in version 2.3.

Shilonen in Genshin Impact: A Guide to the Best Build

Favonius Sword (4 Stars)

Energy Recovery: 13.3%~61.3%

Base Attack: 41-454

When dealing critical hits, there is a 60% chance to restore 6 units of energy. The effect occurs once every 12 seconds.

A good option when the heroine and/or the whole team lack energy, which allows more frequent use of the ult (healing) not only by Shilonen, but also by her allies. However, this sword will be effective only if the heroine has awakenings and a sufficiently high critical chance.

Shilonen in Genshin Impact: guide to the best build

Carrier Flev Sander (4 stars)

Energy Recovery: 10%~45.9%

Base Attack: 42~510

Elemental skill critical hit rate increases by 8-16%. Also, after activating it, the character's energy recovery stat increases by 16-32% for five seconds.

A good alternative to the previous option, which, although it gives less energy to the team, is less demanding to activate the passive, so it is more convenient to use. In addition, you can get this pipe absolutely free for fishing.

Best Artifacts

We recommend choosing sets that can increase Shilonen's defense and energy recovery, as well as give her additional buffs for the team or increase Geo damage (for the damager). The table below shows the best options.

ArtifactsBonusesAdvantages

Shilonen in Genshin Impact: Guide to the Best Build

Scroll of the Hero of the Burnt City

2 parts: When a team member uses Night Spirit Flash, the wearer restores 6 units of energy.

4 pieces: After the wearer activates a reaction related to their element, all party members gain a 12% bonus to damage of the corresponding element related to reactions for 15 seconds. If the owner of the set is under the Blessing of the Night Spirit state when activating the specified buff, then all party members additionally gain a 28% bonus to elemental damage related to reactions for 20 seconds. This effect can occur even if the hero is not on the battlefield. Bonuses of the same-named artifact sets do not stack.

Obtained in the Myriad Spirit Sanctuary dungeon. An ideal set for a support, which allows you to use the ult more often and gives a huge bonus to damage to both Shilonen herself (if she is a damage dealer) and her allies. However, it will be necessary to bring a Pyro, Cryo, Electro or Hydro character in front of Shilonen to impose the corresponding elemental status on enemies and allow the heroine to close the Crystal reaction.

Shilonen in Genshin Impact: a guide to the best build

Cocoon of Sweet Dreams

2 parts: increases defense by 30 percent.

4 parts: grants the character the Curiosity effect. Its 1st level is issued after the active hero hits an enemy with a Geo attack (once every 0.3 seconds). If he is outside the battlefield, then the 1st level is issued once every 3 seconds. This effect can grow to level 4, and each level increases Geo damage and defense by 6 percent. If the fighter does not receive a new level of Curiosity within 6 seconds, then the effect will lose one level.

Obtained in the dungeon “Dormant Garden”. A good alternative to the previous option, if Shilonen is used as a damage dealer, since it will significantly increase her personal Geo damage. For a support, it will be much less useful.

As for the main characteristics of artifacts, then take the hourglass for defense (or energy recovery when there is a shortage of it), the cup (bowl) – for defense (or Geo damage for the damager), and the crown (hat) – for defense or healing bonus (or crit. chance/crit. damage in a ratio of 1 to 2 for the damager). The priority of choosing secondary parameters looks like this: energy recovery, crits (for the damager or the sword of Favonius) and defense.

If we talk about the optimal indicators of the heroine's attributes, then they look like this:

  • Defense: 2500+
  • Energy regen: 160-180% will be enough to use Elemental Burst every rotation even without another Geo character in the team.
  • Critical Hit Chance/Critical Damage (for DPS): 60%+/120%+

Best Teams for Shilonen

So, we have already noted above that Shilonen can be put in the role of support in almost any team where the main DD belongs to the Pyro, Cryo, Hydro, Electro or Geo elements. In the latter case, however, it should be taken into account that without C2, you cannot take two additional Geo characters into the squad at once, otherwise the resistances will not be cut.

In addition, even with the 2nd constellation, it is not recommended to create a full mono Geo pack when using the Scroll of the Hero of the Burned City, otherwise you will not be able to activate the passive of the set. The squad must have at least one Pyro, Cryo, Hydro or Electro character.

If we talk about Shilonen as a damage dealer, then everything is much more difficult here, because there should not be more than two Pyro, Cryo, Hydro, Electro heroes in the team, so you will have to replace the missing fighters with Geo, Dendro and/or Anemo characters. Fortunately, the heroine combines well with Kazuha. Plus, you can easily give her Bennett as a company. The table below shows all the optimal options.

How to improve skills

You will have to search and collect a variety of materials, namely:

  • Teachings, Directions, and Philosophies of “Burning” – obtained on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays in the “Fiery Ruins” dungeon.
  • Wooden Whistle of the Watchman, Metal Whistle of the Warrior, and Golden Whistle of the Saurian-Crowned Warrior – dropped by Saurian-like warriors of the tribe, purchased with Star Glitter, or created with Alchemy.
  • Mushin Mirror – dropped by the weekly boss Seki no Kami.
  • Crown of Insight – can be obtained during events, as well as by leveling up the Sacred Sakura, the Permafrost Tree, the Dream Tree, the Lucine Fountain, and Tona's Fire.

If we talk about priority of leveling up talents, then the first thing you should do is increase the heroine's elemental skill, since it will determine the enemy resistance cutoff. Then you can pump up the elemental explosion so that the heroine can heal allies more effectively. If you plan to use Shilonen only as a support, then you don't need to pump up regular attacks.
