Exploring the second floor of the Lakeview Hotel in Silent Hill 2 Remake, you may come across a puzzle with a broken mirror. To solve it, you will need to find the missing shard and apples, and then correctly place all the shards on the mirror. This way, you will be able to get the Snow White statue. How to Get to Room 202
Before you can get to the puzzle you need, you will have to carefully explore the 1st floor of the hotel and find a couple of keys. So, after entering the hotel, head to the Lake Shore restaurant, located in the southwest of the location, to find Laura. She will leave you again, opening the door leading to the corridor in the east.
Go along this corridor to the south and enter the Utility Room, the door to which is located on the right. On the opposite side of the room you will see a table on which there will be a Key to the Dawn Wing, opening the passage leading to the 2nd floor of the building.
Now go up to the 2nd level via the main stairs, turn right and open the double doors with the key you found earlier. Then climb into the wardrobe through the counter, turning left, and from there go to the Lobby, turning left again. This room will be full of mannequins. Go to the couch near the wall and find the Key to Room 202 near the red dress.
Head to apartment 202, located in the southeast part of the 2nd floor and open the door with the key you found earlier. Here you will find the broken mirror you need.
Where to find a shard and how to place the shards correctly
Before you can solve the puzzle, you will need to find the missing 6th shard. To do this, go to the bedroom on the left through the double doors, and then pick up the necessary thing from the bed.
Now you can start solving the puzzle. You will need to select shards and place them on the mirror, rotating the parts if necessary. In the picture below, the numbers indicate where each shard should be placed.
Where to Find Rotten and Ripe Apples
To complete the riddle, you will need to place one of the apples on the silver saucer in front of the mirror – rotten or ripe. The choice of apple does not matter, so you can place any of them.
Note that the rotten apple is located in the southeastern part of the hotel garden. You will find it on a stone bench near a lonely tree. There is a high probability that you will get this fruit before you even enter the hotel.
As for the ripe apple, it is in the 2nd floor Lobby to the right of the sofa, where you previously found the keys to room 202. It will be lying on a small table in the corner of the room.
After placing the apple and solving the mirror puzzle, head to room 201 to collect the Snow White figurine from the table. You'll need it to solve the music box puzzle.
