In search of an exit from the Blue Creek Apartment Complex in Silent Hill 2 Remake, you may stumble upon apartment 202, filled with moths. However, to move on in the story, you need to open the combination lock hanging on the door.
In our guide, we will tell you how to pick the code to the lock in the room with moths on any difficulty.
How to solve the puzzle with moths
Next to the combination lock you will see a hint written on it to help you pick the code. First, you need to find all the symbols indicated on the wall.
Each of these symbols will be depicted on all the moths available for inspection in apartment 202.
How to find all the moths
Search the entire apartment for moths with the following symbols: skull, moon, and eye.
The number of moths, as well as their location, may vary depending on the difficulty of the puzzles you choose.
You can find most of the moths on the walls in this room.
The last moths are located in the next room. You just need to break the wall and move the cabinet, behind which there will be another painting with moths.
In general, on medium difficulty you will be able to count the following number of characters:
- Eye: 5
- Moon: 8
- Skull: 2
How to pick up the code
Once you find all the pictures on the moths, return to the lock and substitute all the numbers into the equation, as indicated on the hint.
For example, the solution on medium difficulty will be like this:
- Moon (8) – eyes (5) = 3
- Skull (2) + eyes (5) = 7
- Eyes (5) – skull (2) = 3
This gives us the code combination we need: 373
For easy difficulty the code will be as follows: 582
For hard difficulty you need to get the following combination of numbers: 522
After the door opens, go to the room where you can find another arrow to solve the puzzle with the clock and continue along the story.
