Silent Hill 2 Remake Rifle: Where to Find the Armory Key

In Silent Hill 2 Remake, while exploring Toluca Prison, you can stumble upon a locked gun cabinet containing a hunting rifle. To get it, you will first have to find the key to the locker, solving a couple of puzzles. In this guide, we will tell you in detail how to get this powerful weapon.

How to get the hunting rifle in the remake of Silent Hill 2

Where to find the gun cabinet

Once you reach the 1st level of the main section of Toluca Prison, head towards the Armory located in the center of the area. It can be easily identified by the red glow emanating from it. Once inside, turn right from the save point on the table and take the area map from the wall.

Then turn even further to the right, and you will see a gun cabinet locked with a padlock. Inside it is a hunting rifle. Be sure to pick up the note lying on the nightstand on the left side, so that marks indicating the approximate location of the key to the cabinet appear on your map.

Where is the key to the armory?

Without delay, run to the Chapel, which is located on the same 1st level of the prison in the north-east side of the warehouse. Once inside, go past the benches and approach the table with candles and take from it the heaviest weight, which you will need in the future. Be careful, as monsters will immediately attack you.

Next, go to the Courtyard, located in the western part of the location. There you will find a scale puzzle at the foot of the statue. Then place the previously found heavy weight on the right side, and the small one (it is near the scales) on the left. This will unlock the door with the headless snake, located in the southeast. Go through the door that opens and head to the witness room to the north to tackle the generator puzzle. This will open all the doors, including the ones leading to the prison cells.

Go to the execution room, and from there move down to cell E1. Enter inside, break the wall with cracks and go to cell E19, and then go to E10 to crawl through the crack into another room, where you will find a metal cabinet on the wall, which contains the key to the armory.

Next, go to the witness checkpoint and unlock the door to it north section, which leads directly to the main prison area. Now you can simply return to the armory and get the hunting rifle from the cabinet.
