In Wuthering Waves, “Solitary Path” is a personal quest for Yin Lin, in which you will need to help a girl in investigating a complicated case related to puppets. You have to find the correct password for the shelter, find the dolls, solve a couple of puzzles and fight the Mech Abomination. Completing the Solitary Path task in WuV
How to start the task
It's unclear exactly, but it's likely that you must complete the story mission “Ominous Star” before you can access this quest. Next, wait for a call from Chixia and chat with her. After this, the corresponding task will appear in your journal – start tracking it.
Note: If you accidentally missed a girl's call, still open the task log, and then click on the “Track” button in the lower right corner. Return to the game and your companion will immediately call you again.
Go to the indicated location
Teleport to the resonant nexus located in the city of Jinzhou and move to the purple marker to start a cutscene .
Hide the evidence
When talking with a stranger, you can choose any answers, as they will only slightly change the dialogues. Next, you will need to hide the traces of the recent brawl before the patrol arrives – just interact with the two golden dots. Then chat with the girl again.
Go to the meeting place
After learning from Yin Lin that the girl is actually a robot, move to the Huanglong Resonant Beacon located on the Central Plains north of the city. Then jump down to your new friend and chat with her.
After a short conversation, run to the second meeting place to start the next cut-scene where the villains will appear in red from the Fraccidus group.
Follow Lirong and defeat the members of Fraccidus
When the cutscene ends, immediately run after Lirong, trying not to move too far away from him , otherwise the mission will fail and you will have to start from the last checkpoint. At the same time, you should not get too close to your target – keep an eye on the NPC.
Soon you will reach a cave near the coast. Hide behind a bush and listen to Lirong's conversation with his “daughter”. Next, deal with two opponents who should not cause you any special problems.
Find all the dolls
You will need to find three puppets. Turn around and you will immediately see the first doll next to the glowing flower. Now go to the two mannequins that are on the other side, near the tree and the second blue flower.
Go to the exit of the cave towards the beach, and on the way on the right side you will find the last doll. It is also standing near the glowing plant. Then chat with the red-haired lady.
Use the sensor to detect signs
Open the gadgets window (Tab key), and then select the Sensor and press the T key to activate it. Look around to see the design of a golden wolf on the stone. It will show you which direction you need to go. Run to the cave entrance, where a new cutscene will begin.
Enter the correct password
You will need to enter a certain digital code to open the passage. To do this, you need to either count the number of flowers that the sparkles point to, or talk to Yin Lin. The correct combination is as follows: 4123.
Go inside the cave and go to the table to start the next video, in which the girl will knock you out and will deliver Dollmaster to the base.
Investigate the warehouse and notify the authorities
Once behind the laser grid, interact with the two objects highlighted by markers. Then tap the tablet again to send a request for help. To do this, you have to go through the mini-game “Selection of signal frequency.”
You will need to send short and long frequencies by quickly pressing or holding the “F” key. If you fail the test, you can repeat it at any time.
Talk to members of the Session Society and defeat the monsters
Then exit the prison container, turn left and talk to Yin Ling. She will invite you to talk to three members of the Séance Society, who will be marked with markers. You can choose any answers, as they do not affect anything.
Next, go upstairs and chat with Quxiu. Approach the awning behind the man and examine the four shiny objects underneath. After examining them, return to the guy. Yin Lin will ask if we read the notes. You can tell her the truth or lie – this will only slightly change her answer. Then chat with the girl alone.
Soon your conversation will be interrupted by a boy who will tell you about the monster attack. Defeat several enemies. You will be able to take control of a trial Yin Lin, which will make the battle somewhat easier. Overall, these opponents are not very difficult, so you shouldn't have any problems with them.
Enter the factory to stop the puppeteer.
After watching the video, select the appropriate squad – take your most pumped up resonators, as you will have to fight a strong boss at the end. If you are at rank 2 of Phase SOL-3, then the level of your characters must be at least level 30. If they are not pumped up enough, then exit the team selection screen by clicking on the cross in the upper right corner of the screen and upgrade your fighters.
You can then return here at any time and interact with the golden portal to start clearing the Puppet Factory dungeon again.
Unlock the mechanism with the doll and defeat the exiles
When you go down, the companion will ask you to give her the tablet – you can give it to her or refuse her. Again, your choice will not affect anything, since the girl will get the gadget anyway. In this dungeon, you can play not only for your heroes, but also for Yin Lin.
Run forward up the stairs, and then interact with the eye-shaped console to gain control of the heroine's doll. Stand with it in the center of the area to turn off the laser beams. Press the “E” key to return to character control.
Climb up and fight the maddened exiles. A more difficult puzzle awaits you further. Turn left before the laser fence. You will see two platforms with a red dot in the center. Pick up the cube lying on the ground by pressing the “T” key, and then lower it onto the red platform by pressing the same button.
Now stand on the second platform and grab the second cube located in the container. Drop it onto the platform you're standing on. Next, enter the container, open the chest on the left and interact with the console on the right to gain control of the doll.
Fly the robot under the laser beams and turn right. Go up the steps and stand on the red platform. This will disable the protection. Return to your heroes by pressing “E” and run to the marker. Go down and deal with another group of exiles. Jump even lower.
Solve the puzzle with the doll and laser beams
Interact with the eye console and the doll, stand on the red platform ahead to remove the laser barrier. Return to your characters and go forward to the second device and place the robot on the next platform. Take control of the heroes again and go to the lift ahead.
Take a photo of three objects with the camera
After getting up, watch the cutscene, then press “Tab” and select the camera (Zoom Camera). Now press “T” and point the lens at the robot lying in the back of the room. You should see a green dot in the center of the screen – then take a photo by pressing the “T” key. To exit shooting mode, click on the cross in the upper right corner.
Now take a photo of the purple panel next to the two mannequins on the right side of the room. Finally, remove the power cells located in the far left corner. Watch the next video and fight the exiles. Continue moving forward, destroying enemies along the way.
Ride up the elevator, destroying another group of enemies. Then go forward to the Puppeteer's control room. Watch a long cutscene and deal with several exiles.
How to defeat the Mech Abomination
This enemy is level 30 and often uses spinning attacks that hit the area. If you do not want to get caught by these attacks, then we advise you to stay as close to the enemy as possible. We also do not recommend using Electro heroes, since this boss is resistant to this element.
Be sure to take a healer to your team so that he can heal your allies in a timely manner. Sometimes the enemy will perform a powerful blow with one hand, and it will get stuck in the ground, so you can hit the monster with impunity for several seconds.
If you see that the enemy has raised his head and started charging, then soon he will bring down a thunderstorm on you. We advise you to run as far away from the monster as possible so as not to get hit. Also try to quickly break through the enemy's resistance in order to stun him for a short period of time.
Use the sensor to find the signs
After dealing with the boss, watch a long video and exit the dungeon by going through the blue portal. Talk to Chisei again. You can choose any answers, as they will not affect anything.
Next, select the sensor in the device menu and apply it (T key). You will see drawings of a golden wolf on the walls, which will lead you to an open gazebo, where you will meet Yin Ling again. Chat with her again to complete the quest.
As a reward you will receive 800 Unity points, 100 astrits. 15 thousand credits, 6 advanced resonance potions and 3 advanced energy cores, and also unlock the “Keeper in the Darkness” achievement.
