To do this, you just need to find Augustus, who actually gives out the specified quest, and Prax. However, this can be difficult to do if you don't know where to look. How to start the quest
First of all, you will need to get to the guild building called “Mercenary House”, which is located southeast (use the compass if you don’t have a map) from the city of Grayshaft. Just follow the main road and when you reach the first big fork, turn left. Here you will find a small stone building – go inside and chat with Augustus standing behind the counter.
This friendly-looking guy will tell you about his “friend” Prax, who lives in the Suburbs. He will ask you to deliver him an invitation and bring him here, and then they will supposedly go to the Greyshaft Hound Tavern together for a drink and talk about old times. We agree and receive a new quest.
Where to find Prax
Let us immediately note that there is no point in looking for Prax in the Suburbs. Perhaps this was a localizer error or the developers later rearranged the location of the NPC, but in reality he is located on the territory of the city itself, in its southern part. So, exit the Mercenary House and start moving north towards Grayshaft.
Run across the stone bridge, past the suburban settlement and enter the city through the southern gate. After waiting for the location to load, immediately go forward to the structure with arches and under them you will find the character you need – chat with Prax. Tell him that you have a message for him, but he will almost immediately send you away, saying that he will not go anywhere with you.
Now you will have a small plot branch:
- You can choose the answer “Use your brains better” if you have 10 units of Insight.
- You can choose the answer “Come on, what are you up to” and threaten him.
In any case, Prax will agree to follow you. Start leading him back to the Mercenary House. Be sure to make sure that he runs after you, sometimes looking back. NPCs in the game often act stupid, getting stuck in textures or getting involved in fights with monsters. So it’s better to keep an eye on your companion sometimes.
Please note that you do not need to enter the building, since August will be waiting for you not far from the entrance. As soon as he notices Prax, he will immediately draw his sword from its sheath and attack the bandit, killing him with one blow. Chat with August, who will praise you and tell you that you have completed the introductory quest and can now become part of the Headhunters guild. Plus, he will give a reward: 50 gold and 600 experience units.
This guild will be a good choice for characters who are focused on strength, as you can get a lot of equipment associated with this particular characteristic. In addition, the quests here are quite straightforward – you just need to get to the targets and eliminate them. However, if you join the Headhunters, you will not be able to join the Smugglers or Gravediggers.
