In Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ) Fine Hour is the main event of patch 1.5, in which you will have to help Eos win the En-nuta of Glory contest. To do this, you will have to view and complete orders, as well as create new costumes for Banbu and participate in the “Great Adventure of Marcel” to get Popularity Carrots.
In this guide, we will tell you how to start this event and go through all its stages. As a reward, you can get polychromes, valuable leveling materials and a new costume for Nicole called “Fashion Bunny”.
How to Start the Banbu vs. Ethereals Event in Zenless Zone Zero
This event started on January 23, 2025 at 10:00 AM, and the temporary rewards will end on March 10 at 03:59 AM server time. After that, the event will be transferred to the Reedu Chronicles category. To participate in it, you will need to meet a couple of conditions, namely:
- Reach at least Internot level 15.
- Complete the Agent story called “Mole in the Cavern (I)”.
- Take the special edition of “Astranomic Moment” (optional).
Once you have completed the above requirements, you should automatically receive the first task of the event. Or you can open the events section, find the page of the event you need, and then click the “Go” button to automatically be transferred to Lumina Square.
Next, talk to Belle/Wise, who is standing next to Eos. Then find your Banbu nearby – he will be talking to Amillion, and talk to him again. Then Astra will appear and tell you about the competition that Eos must win.
The Day of the Qualifying Round
After talking to Astra, talk to Evelyn standing nearby. As a result, you will receive a new outfit for Banbu. Interact with Eos. The next day, you will go to the qualifying round. Once in the new location, go to Amillion, and then talk to Nicole.
Now register with the curator Paige, who is standing at the top, and say that you understand everything. This will open the main menu of the event. Follow the instructions on the screen to proceed to the first challenge.
Outfit for Eos (Fairy Tale)
At the initial stage, you just need to follow the prompts, and then start the duel. In it, you need to press the buttons (WASD keys) that appear on the screen. Sometimes you should click on certain buttons very quickly.

The Great Adventure of “Marseille”
Next, you will need to complete a short test, overcoming a small obstacle course, controlling Eos. To do this, you need to run forward and press the jump (Space) and dash (RMB) buttons in time. In the video below, we showed the whole process.
Contest: Unleashing Insolence
Chat with Astra again and agree to go to the master. Then you will unlock a new mode for opening costumes. Follow the instructions on the screen. We are talking about a combat test. In the first stage, you will be allowed to use trial Astra Yao and Evelyn.
You will have to fight with various Ethereals. First, bring Astra to the battlefield and use her special attack to activate all the buffs, and then deal the main damage to Eveline. Accumulate the Incinerate scale and hold down the basic attack button to get thread charges. After accumulating 3 stacks, you can use a powerful blow by holding down LMB again. Talk to Lucy to find out about her problems. Then talk to Nicole. Next, interact with the Banbu-music teacher on the left and complete his short mini-game (you need to press the “Space” key in time when the moving circle is next to the fixed one).
Now talk to the Handsome Banbu on the right. You will need to solve the chain puzzle by turning the connection nodes correctly. The screenshot below shows the correct option. After that, talk to Nicole and Lucy again to receive the Vacation Suit.
Then head upstairs and talk to Paige for an extra workout «Evening Star of the Holiday 1». In the main menu, select the “En-nuta of Glory” mode, and then follow the instructions for choosing strategies. Next, take on the challenge by choosing the right outfit to start with: Vacation ears, scarf, and clothes.
