The Strange Crystal in HSR (Honkai: Star Rail) is a unique record with the memories of the Nameless on Amphoreus. By activating it for the first time, you can unlock a new hidden achievement and 10 Memory Shards. And if you return to the crystal at the beginning of each week, the player will receive a new portion of unique currency for purchases from Janus's Horse.
In this guide, we will tell you how to find and study the Strange Crystal on Amphoreus, as well as get the secret achievement “Fishing in the River of the Past“.
What is the Strange Crystal for in XSR
According to the game tutorial, the Strange Crystal is a kind of “flash drive” that saves random adventures of the main character and our friend the Vidyadhara on the Eternal Land. By activating the mystical mechanism, you will see holograms of the Nameless, displaying the moments of their stay on the planet.
For the first time viewing the recording on the crystal, you will receive an achievement, as well as 10 Memory Shards – you can use them to make purchases from the Janus Horse in the courtyard in front of the Ochema Marble Palace.
It is important to note that the memories recorded by the crystal are updated at the beginning of each week, and with them the rewards. That is, returning to the mechanism every 7 days, you will again receive 10 fragments.
How to find the Strange Crystal
The Strange Crystal is located in the Nameless Chambers, in the southeastern corner of the 1st tier of the Marble Palace, in the sacred city of Oheme. Access to this room appears during the mission “Oh guest from afar, hear the prayers of this world”, but you will see the crystal later, so it is better to first complete the main plot of the planet and unlock the Path of Memory for the main character.
