In Genshin Impact Strange the hermit is a quest in the world of Nod's Edge, in which you will learn about Devonte, who lives away from other people, in the north of Lempo Island, in the eastern part of the Desert Corridor. He used to regularly visit Nashgorod, but later stopped visiting the city. We need to find out what exactly happened to him. How to start the mission
Important: To start this quest, Nefer or Berry must be present in your team (will be released in patch 6.2). Without them, it will not be possible to open the necessary intelligence collection functionality.
Having the necessary characters in your squad, you will need to collect intelligence in Nashgorod. To do this, start running around the settlement and looking for people with a kind of pyramid appearing above their heads – approach them and use the character’s skill to get the necessary information. In a week you can collect a maximum of 6 intelligence data.
You are guaranteed to be able to obtain intelligence from the following residents of Nashgorod: Gaudentsii, Sendzimir, Ju Jian, Iratshe, Slazhnev, Sukhovs and Sompainko. In fact, there are many more of them, so we repeat again that you just need to walk around the city and pay attention to the characters with symbols.
Collecting how minimum 5 intelligence, go to Katerina at the Adventurer's Guild and talk to her while playing as Nefer or Yagoda. A new dialogue option will appear – “Information Exchange”, which you must select to open the new menu. Here, select the bottom right folder called “Weird [   ]”and open it by spending 5 intelligence data. Then click “Go to task” to begin completing it.
Examine the hermit's hut
First of all, head to the Curatorium of Mysteries, located in Nashgorod (the entrance to it is located slightly behind and to the right of the local souvenir shop). Inside, a small cut-scene will immediately begin in which Nefer and Yagoda begin discussing the “strange hermit” and the missing wandering merchant. Nefer will give Yagoda the task of visiting this old man and finding out why he has recently begun to behave differently than usual.
Next, move to the teleporter located in the eastern part of the Desert Corridor, and then start running north to the small hut ahead. Approach the door and knock, after which a cut-scene will begin in which Yagoda will talk to Derwent and understand that something is clearly wrong here, but there is little evidence yet, so you should study this place more carefully.
Look for clues around huts
After talking with the hermit, turn right, go up the steps and approach the extinguished fire next to the red awning. Interact with him to find a Half-burnt page, which will clearly indicate that the real Derwent sheltered Hark Raggedmaw, and he, apparently, then killed him.
After studying the leaflet, go to the hut again and try to communicate with a hermit, but no one will answer Yagoda. This will complete the task, and as a reward we will receive 150 adventure points, 20 thousand mora and 3 hero books. You should also continue completing this hidden chain by taking on the mission “When the Dust Has Settled.”
