Summer in Genshin Impact! Dragons? Fairy tale! is the main event of update 4.8, which will take place in the temporary region of Simulanka. During it, you will be able to take part in various mini-games, earning astro coins and receiving various rewards. The latter include the heroine Kirara and a new skin for her.
In this guide you can find out how to start this event and pass its tests to receive all possible rewards. All activities and story tasks are reviewed by us in separate guides to which links are provided.
How to start the “Summer! Dragons? Fairy tale!”
Formally, this event starts on July 17, 2024 and will last until update 5.0 is released, but access to the tests themselves will open only on July 19. Until this moment, you will only be able to complete its first story part. Before this, you have to meet a number of conditions, namely:
- Achieve at least adventure rank 18. In a separate article, we gave some tips for increasing this indicator.
- Complete the story mission “Song of Dragon Freedom.”
- Complete the story quest “Masquerade of the Guilty” (optional).
- Complete the intermediate volume quest “Inversion of Existence” (optional).
- Complete Navia’s personal quest called “Overcoming the Tides Together” from the “Wild Rose” chain (optional).
The last three tasks are optional, but they will allow you to delve deeper into the story that will be told during the event. You can skip these quests by using the “Quick Start” option in the event menu. Next, the content will be opened gradually in accordance with the schedule presented in the picture below.

The event storyline consists of several chapters that will open gradually. Each stage will include a number of missions.

All event tests
Let us note once again that access to them will open only on July 19. In total, you can take part in four exciting mini-games.
Northern Wind Squall
In this challenge you will need to shoot down various targets while flying at them at high speed to score points. Beware of fixed objects, as colliding with them will deprive you of points. Shots require energy, which is restored over time.
You will be able to make quick and charged shots. To perform the second type of shooting, you need to hold down the LMB and then release it. You can only destroy durable target balls with the help of enhanced shots.
When faced with powerful slimes, you will need to fire several shots to destroy them. Use quick fire against them. You'll also occasionally come across target bombs that explode on impact, destroying nearby targets, so try to shoot the bombs first. Flying hat trick
This mini-game includes 3 separate modes, each with its own scoring rules. However, they have the same gameplay basis – you need to control a flying hat, attracting various targets and thereby earning points.
In the “Slight Shimmer” mode, the hat will be able to attract one toy man at a time and if successful, this will count towards the combo (the higher it is, the more points you will get). If you pull a powder keg or fail to pull a toy, the combo will reset.
In the “Fun Party” mode, you will have 15 attempts to attract toy men. One hat can attract up to 4 toys. If you attract people wearing the same clothes, you will receive bonus points. If you hit the powder kegs, then, on the contrary, you will lose points.

In Mysterious Person mode, each level includes 4 rounds. At the very beginning of the test, you will be shown the clothes of the toy men, after which they will be covered with boxes. You will need to attract those gift wrappings that definitely contain toys. If you attract all the people, you will get bonus points. Constellation Capital Trials
In this mini-game, you will have to go through two battle stages, forming suitable teams. At the same time, for each unique hero in the packs, you will receive 1 unit of courage. Having received 6 or more units, you will significantly increase the effects of the Bravery Time buffs.
When you defeat opponents, you will accumulate courage. Once you reach maximum values, you will activate Time of Bravery, which gives teams combat boosts. After this status ends, defeating opponents for a certain period of time will bring you additional points. We talked about this test in more detail in a separate guide.
Master Reproductions
By participating in previous challenges, you will earn Astro Coins, which can be spent on creating various models in the Reproduction Workshops. Thus, you will receive valuable rewards.
Next you have to find wonderful shelves in each area and place there the created fairy-tale figurines that are related to its theme. As a result, you will be given an additional reward. You can exchange models with friends. We talked about this mini-game in more detail in a separate guide.

As you pass the tests, you will receive various rewards, including pestilence, source stones, experience books, magical ore enhancements and other valuable materials for upgrading your characters and weapons.
How to get Kirara
You can pick up this 4-star Dendro heroine by collecting the required number of astro coins. This currency is issued for passing the above tests. If you already own this character, you will open his Constellation or receive 5 wandering star sparkles.
