Swirling islands in Genshin Impact: how to open Fontaine's abode

In Genshin Impact, the “Spinning Islands” are one of the variants of the abode form in the Teapot of Serenity, the design of which is inspired by the underwater style of Fontaine. The location was added with update 4.3, and to unlock it you will need a special resource – “Whirlpools of the landscape in a bottle.” Our guide will show you how to get the new Hydro Region abode form and fish farming in the Serenity Teapot.

First of all, move to your kettle and talk with its keeper, the finch Pukhlyash: among the dialogue options with the spirit, select the “Treasury” command, and in the window that opens, select the “Riches of the Abode” section (from the list of tabs on the left).

You need to make one purchase: click on the “Scenery Whirls in a Bottle” souvenir (costs 1000 coins in teapot currency). After purchasing, do not leave your kettle.

If the souvenir you need is not in stock, complete the mission “Shadows of Lies Under the Spotlights,” which is part of the major story quest “Prelude of White Dews and Black Waves.”

How to change the shape of the monastery on the Circling Islands

After purchasing the Scenery Whirlpool in a bottle, look at the “Jewelry” section from your personal luggage: all you have to do is find a brand new souvenir in the form of a water balloon among the available materials and use it. After activation, the item will disappear.

We return to the dialogue with Pukhlyash: click on the line “Change the shape of the monastery”, then scroll the list of monasteries to the end and select the last window with the underwater landscape. Click “Change” and confirm your choice – after that you will be loaded into the location with the new kettle.

Do not forget that the new monastery will be completely empty. All your design ideas remain in the previous teapot, including the list of companions and flower beds with plants. If you are crafting friendship points for specific heroes, we advise you to remember the list of placed guests before changing the teapot in order to easily restore them in the new location.

The main building has two floors from the inside with a simple layout of rooms – all of them are located at the edges of the room + night lighting is constantly maintained in the building, since the location is under water.

Go to the water and click on the option that appears, and then select from the list of fish you have the ones you want to settle in the reservoir. Now these creatures will swim in their natural habitat and will not swim away when you approach.
