In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2The Last Wish is a side quest and an optional part of the Mysteria Ecclesiae expansion chain. During it, you will need to find out what happened to Konstantin, try to persuade him to return, and then deliver a message from him. Please note that completing this quest is one of the conditions for receiving the secret achievement “Benefactor”. If you have difficulty taking it or completing it, then study our guide.

How to start the task
First of all, you will need to complete the story mission “Anamnesis”, after which you can take on this optional quest by talking to one of two possible characters. We recommend that you immediately go to Constantine and chat with him, after which you will only have to complete one short task. However, for the sake of completeness of the guide, we will consider both options.
So, you can first talk to Monk Athanasius, who sits on a bench in a room located on the top floor. To get there, first go to the entrance to the library, located in the southern part of the monastery, and then go up the stairs to the left of the passage. Approach the clergyman and select the following responses: “You look worried. What's troubling you? > “I'll help you find him.” Then select the remaining questions and you will begin the corresponding task.
You can also skip the conversation with Athanasius and immediately go toConstantinewho sits in the garden located northeast of the hospital. Ask him: “What are you doing in the garden?” > “Why aren’t you with the others?” > “I will help you get your message across.” As a result, you will also start the desired mission, and you can skip the first two tasks and go straight to the last one.
Find out what happened to Konstantin/Ask the herbalist
If you took the quest from Athanasius, then move to the garden that we described above and find Konstantin there sitting on a bench. You need to tell him the following: “The monks in the monastery are worried about you” > “Why aren’t you with the others?” The further development of events will depend on your next answer:
- “Would you like to tell him yourself?” – requires passing a Speech test. If you manage to do this, then you will convince Konstantin to return to Athanasius in the monastery, and the quest will immediately end.
- “I’ll tell him” – Konstantin will remain in the garden, and you will have the next task – to report to Athanasius.
We add that, if you wish, you can also chat with the herbalist in the Forest Garden, located south of the hospital, and ask him about the whereabouts of Constantine. You will need to pass a Speech check to get the information you need from him. If you fail the check and talk to him again after finding Konstantin, you will be able to listen to additional dialogue with the gardener.
Convince Konstantin to return
This task will appear to you if you initially took the quest from Athanasius and passed the Speech test when talking with Konstantin. The quest will then instantly end as the monk will voluntarily return to the monastery.
However, if during the conversation you chose the normal answer without needing to check the characteristics, then you will need to return to Athanasius, and then tell him: “I will try to convince him.” In this case, you will also have this goal.
Deliver a message from Konstantin
If you immediately went to Konstantin and talked to him, you can skip the previous two tasks. You will also have this goal if you accepted the task from Athanasius, but failed the skill check when talking with the monk.
In any case, you will need to talk to Athanasius, whom you will again meet on the top floor of the monastery. Once up, start a dialogue with the monk, which may go in slightly different directions depending on your previous decisions:
- If you started the quest by talking to Konstantin, then tell Afanasy: “Are you by any chance Afanasy?” > “I think he should stay in the garden.” As a result, the task will come to an end.
- If you started the quest by talking to Athanasius, then tell him: “I found Constantine in the garden” > “I think he should stay in the garden.” As a result, the task will come to an end.
- If you spoke with the herbalist earlier, you can also tell Athanasius: “The herbalist Joachim allowed him to stay in the garden.” As a result, the quest will come to an end.
- If you started the quest by talking to Athanasius, and then did not choose an answer to the skill check when talking with Constantine, then you will need to talk to the old monk again, telling him: “Athanasius wants you to come back” (you will need to pass one of three simple attribute checks in order to return the old man to the monastery) or “I think you should stay here” (the old man will remain in the garden).
As a result, the quest will still be completed, and your reward will not change from its outcome, since you won’t get anything in any case. For the “Benefactor” achievement, it doesn’t matter how you completed the task.
