How to start the mission
Important: To start this quest, Nefer or Berry must be present in your team (will be released in patch 6.2). Without them, it will not be possible to open the necessary functionality for collecting intelligence.
You can take on this task only using the information exchange function, collecting intelligence in Nashgorod and completing the previous quests of the hidden chain, namely:
- The wreckage of a pirate ship with ghosts
- Unrest caused by theft
- The missing target of the order
- Strange hermit
Once you complete all these tasks, go back to Katerina in Nashgorod, talk to her and click on the “Information Exchange” button to open the corresponding menu. Here, select the folder with the image of Nefer and the name “Man [ ]”and open it by spending 2 intelligence data. Then click “Add to task” to begin completing it.
Together with Nefer return to the Curatorium of Mysteries
Immediately after the start of the task, a cut-scene will begin where Nefer will receive from Sarin a certain book with fairy tales, which she has been looking for for a very long time. This book was in the archives of a collector from Snezhnaya. It contains the fairy tale “The Man Who Turned into a Mule.” Nefer will then call the Traveler and Paimon over, inviting them to have tea in the Curatorium of Mysteries.
Head to the Curatorium of Mysteries located in Nashgorod (the entrance is located slightly behind and to the right of the local souvenir shop). A long cutscene will immediately begin inside. You will learn from Nefer that she was looking for a special book with a story that is told in the deserts of Sumeru. For her, this book is a thread leading to her father.
She will tell you that she her father altered tales from the desert, making them kinder, but in the end she found the original stories, and her false world collapsed. Now she is trying to collect the originals of all the fairy tales her father told her about. Perhaps this will help her find the “answer” for the Ibis King. Nefer will also ask the Traveler to bring her stories about the inhabitants of the Sumerian desert, promising to pay generously for them.
This mission will come to an end. As a reward, you will receive 150 adventure points, 20 thousand mora, 3 hero books and the book “The Man Who Turned into a Mule.”
