Walking Through the Night Before the Trial
How to Start the Quest
You'll be able to access it after completing the previous chapter, Wingless in Tlalocan. After that, go back to the Legend Quests section of your mission log, then open the Tribal Chronicles category and click on the Tlalocan: Clan of the Flowerfeather panel., and then start tracking Episode 2.
Move to the settlement's western teleporter, run north to the edge of the cliff and glide down to a wooden platform where you'll find Inkanak, with a pink exclamation mark hanging above her – talk to her to start the quest.
Clear Areas of Obstacles
So, you will need to clear four areas that will be marked on the map. To do this, you will have to complete small challenges using the Saurians or the abilities of Chaska, who will become your trial character. Next, we will show you how to complete all the challenges.
Cautious Researcher
After talking to Inkanak, immediately jump down from the wooden platform and land near the crystals. Talk to the researcher and agree to help him.
You will need to start shooting at explosive barrels to remove the obstacles. You can use the archer Chaska and her charged shots for this. Be careful, because after destroying the slide, you will have to fight a lava monster.
Recall that he is resistant to Pyro attacks, so we do not recommend using fire attacks against him. We also advise you to study our guide on playing as Chaska. The gif above shows the entire process of completing the challenge.
Doubting and confused researchers
Next, climb up to the ledge located on the cliff to the west of the previous location. To do this, we advise you to use Chaska's skill, which allows her to fly on a “revolver”. On the ledge, talk to the two researchers and agree to help them.
Then transform into a Tepetlisaur using the yellow transformation stone located on the cliff on the left. Use the Saurian skill and crawl to the red crystals just behind. Then attack them to unblock the air flow. The gif below demonstrates the entire process.
Brave Explorer
Don't leave the role of the Tepetlizaur – instead, continue climbing to the top of the mountain. There you will find another character. Chat with him and agree to help him. Then stand on the white light and press the “Call” button.
Turn the camera up. You'll see a balloon with a bomb flying towards you. Aim at it as Chaska, and then shoot it when it flies over the sealed phlogiston well. The bomb will eventually fall down and remove the obstacle. The gif below shows the whole process.
Curious Explorer
From the previous mountain, jump down and glide northeast towards a small ledge where you will find another explorer. Talk to her and agree to help.
You'll need to destroy three weak points of the crystal at once. To do this, switch to Chaska, activate her skill, and then use a charged shot. The gif below shows the entire process.
Complete the Flight Test
Once you've dealt with the above issues, return to the vantage point and talk to Inkanak again, who will be waiting for you in the same place. When you're ready, engage her in dialogue again to begin the flight test.
After talking to the girl, immediately activate Chaska's skill, and then use the sprint button (RMB) to go into accelerated flight. Then start flying through the rings to restore your phlogiston points. You will need to fly through 20 rings in the allotted time. The gif below shows how to do this.
Help the caravan
Watch the cutscene, then go down and talk to Alpa standing on the slope. You will learn that the traders were transporting phlogiston wings. After the conversation is over, the mission will end.
As a reward, you will receive 475 Adventure Points, 38,100 Mora, 4 Hero Books, and 8 Magic Enhancement Ore. Plus, you'll have access to the next chapter of the chain called “Weapons and Wings.”
