Tools in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Call of Pripyat are sets of items that must be found to complete quests from Cardan and Azot.

What tools are needed in Call of Pripyat
At the beginning of the game Only standard upgrades are available. In order for you to have the opportunity to upgrade weapons and equipment, you need to bring special tools to the mechanics, Cardan or Azoth.
There are three types of these items: for rough work (upgrade equipment to the first level) and fine work (upgrade equipment to the second level), as well as tools for calibration (upgrade equipment to the third level).
In total, you can find six boxes with tools in the game – two of each of the above types.
How to start a quest with tools in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Call of Pripyat
Approach any of the free stalkers, Azot or Cardan, and ask about the availability of work. Mechanics will report that they need tool kits. After this, you can start searching.
You will need to bring all six sets, since the last level of improvements varies among technicians.
Tools for Rough Work No. 1
For the first set, go to the Sawmill, which is located in the area called ” Zaton.”
Run to the northernmost red brick building with a destroyed wall. Be careful, as there are a lot of zombies around. Use the stairs to go up to the attic and take the tools from the machine.
Do not rush to leave right away. In this place you can find a lot of interesting and very useful things, so search the room thoroughly.
Tools for rough work No. 2
For the next set, go to the location called “Vicinities of Jupiter”. The box is on the train, located directly under the bridge. The map below shows the exact location.
To get inside the train, jump down from the bridge onto the roof of the train. Go all the way until you come across an open hatch.
Go down, but be careful. A very dangerous Tesla anomaly awaits you here. When she gets closer, jump onto the passenger seats and she won't reach you.
You will find the box at the end of the train – on the passenger seat located From the left side. The exit is located in the same car.
Tools for fine work No. 1
Now head to the south of the Zaton location – to the substation workshops.

When you get there, you will notice a group of neutral mercenaries. There is nothing to be afraid of – they themselves will not attack. However, you will not be allowed into the workshops.
It turns out that the mercenaries have run out of provisions. You need to bring them six units of any type of food. Canned food is fine. When you do this, the leader of the stalkers, nicknamed Tesak, will allow you to pass, but will ask you to hide your weapon.
Run along the road to the fence and turn right. You will see a passage on the right side, enter it and you will find yourself in one of the workshops. Go through the entire building, then turn left twice. You will find yourself in the resting place of stalkers.
Some will be standing and one of the men will be sitting on a box. Next to it are the tools you need. Take them and leave the camp through the roof of the adjacent room. No one will tell you anything about the fact that you took the box.

You will have to go to the Jupiter plant for the second set. You need to approach the building from the Concrete Bath. We have marked this location in the image below.
If you are facing the anomaly, you will need to turn right. Go through the gate located directly in front of you. This way you will find yourself on the territory of the complex.
Go to the building that is on your left. There are doors on both sides, but you will need to go through the entire building to the end.
Climb the stairs and go through a small corridor, thus you will get to the very top of the room – the attic.
Carefully walk from the entrance to the far wall. This way you will not be affected by the Electra anomaly. Look for a green closet; it contains a box with the items you need. Grab it and go out the door on the left.
Tools for calibration No. 1
For this set you will need to go to the Pripyat location, to the Department Store, or rather to its basement. There is a pack of dogs running near the building, but there will be a barrier in front of the entrance that they cannot get through.
When you find yourself inside, you will see jerboas. Run after the animals and they will lead you to the entrance to the basement.
In the room on the right there is a box on the table. Pay attention to the descent on the left, it will lead you to a place where you can find a couple of artifacts.
Tools for calibration No. 2
You will find the last set of items in the workshop of the old KBO. The building is located at the other end of the Pripyat region. To get to the desired point without problems, walk along the buildings, sticking to the left.
When you go through the Yubileiny KBO, you will notice the monolith fighters. Don't touch them, just continue on your way.
Once inside the building, you will notice that there are a huge number of Electro anomalies there. The second floor was captured by the burer. To get to the tools, you need to kill the creature.
When you do this, look around the back room, you will find the last kit with items on the iron stand.< /p>
Rewards for all tool sets
Take all your finds to Cardan and Azoth. The first technician is waiting for you at Skadovsk, the second at the Yanov station.
As a reward for this you will receive 7,400 rubles, and you will also unlock three levels of equipment improvements for both mechanics.
