Chests with the Treasure of Lost Time in Dragon Age: The Veilguard, contain unique types of various equipment, found only in one copy. There are 22 chests in the game scattered almost all over Thedas.
In our guide, we will tell you how to find all the Treasures of Lost Time.
Location of all Treasures of Lost Time
Treasures of Lost Time are special chests that are opened with a lyrium dagger. Unlike regular chests, the location of the treasure is not initially shown on the map.
Each Lost Time item found is unique and occurs in the game only once. This equipment cannot be improved, as it immediately goes into the inventory with all effects and abilities fully unlocked.
Crossroads
Treasure of Lost Time #1
At the end of the quest “Regrets of the Dread Wolf”, you will have to appear before the goddess Mythal. Having persuaded her to help or having fought her, you will have access to the location Nest of the Ancients.
Go down to the arena and go through the arch on the left, where after climbing the stairs you will see a chest with the treasure of Lost Time. Use the dagger to get your reward.

- Unique amulet Pale Reflection, decoration item and gold.
Treasure of Lost Time #2
The next chest with unique items is in the Atim Heights location. Get to the huge tree overgrown with fel and clear a passage in it to the reward.
To do this, you will have to destroy 50 darkspawn throughout Atim Heights. Once you have killed enough enemies, return to the tree and cut a path through the fel to the chest hidden inside.

Treasure of Lost Time #3
Another chest located in the Merged City can be found in the arena after the fight with the boss Fellasan's Betrayal. To access it, you must start the quest “Source of Corruption”.
Rewards:
- Unique Amulet Burden, gold and legendary materials.
Treasure of Lost Time #4
The next chest can also be found as part of the quest “Source of Corruption”. Get to the boss Defender's Fallin Atim Heights and collect your reward from the chest at the end of the battle.
Rewards:
- Unique great axe Felling Edge, legendary materials and gold.
Treasure of Lost Time #5
Defeating the Undead BossDestruction of the columns, when completing the quest “Source of Corruption”, you will gain access to another chest with a unique item.
Rewards:
- Unique ring Will of Andraste, ethereal echoes and gold.
Treasure of Lost Time #6
The last chest in the quest “Source of Corruption” you will find after the battle with the undead high dragon. Go through the new door opened by the caretaker and activate the chest with a lyrium dagger.
Rewards:
- Unique ringExtreme Measures, decoration item and gold.
Rivain Coast
Treasure of Lost Time #1
You can get the first Coast chest with special equipment in the Warden's Castle location as a reward for completing the “Warden's Vault” quest. Break the wall with a bomb and get to the marker with an exclamation mark.
Fight your opponents and go downstairs, where you will come across a locked door that can only be opened by solving a puzzle. You need to press three levers with a coat of arms, which you will gain access to by solving three riddles.
To find the first lever, find three places with glowing butterflies. Having activated them all, return to the main hall, where in the last, fourth place, the spirit that appeared will open the passage to the first lever for you.
In order to open the second lever, you need to find the Spark and take it to the empty skeleton. The location of the spark and the skeleton itself are marked in the screenshots below.
You can press the third lever by solving the last puzzle with torches. You will find the necessary torches outside the castle, hidden behind wooden barrels. Press the torches in the following order:
- Left-right-middle.
Follow back to the hall and behind the opened door you will be able to activate the last lever.
Go down to the basement and open the Guardians' cache with the treasure of lost time.

Treasure of Lost Time #2
The next Treasure of Lost Time is located in the Bottom of the Cave location, which becomes available after completing the Taash quest chain. The desired location on the map will be marked with an exclamation mark.
To open the tower with the treasure, you will have to solve the puzzle with the sculptures of the guards in the quest “Treasures of Shark's Mouth Mountain” .
Search all the places marked on the map to get clues. Comparing each coat of arms with its statue, direct them to the right position. We have marked the solution to the riddle in the screenshot below.
Once the statues are in the correct position, the passage to the rewards will open.

Treasure of Lost Time #3
The next treasure can only be found at the end of the side quest “Sometimes the Dead Talk”. You can activate it by talking to the Spirit of Adventure in the location Cliff Climb.
Search all the places marked with markers on the map and fight the undead captain on the Looping Shore. As a reward, the Spirit of Adventure will open access to another treasure for you.

Treviso
Treasure of Lost Time #1
From the point of movement of the location Streets of Coin Dealers, run left and climb onto the roof. Turn right and jump onto the roof of the neighboring building. Turn the corner, and once in the attic, activate the shelf with books to get to the balcony with the treasure.

- AxeBlood and sweat, gold and ethereal echoes.
Treasure of Lost Time #2
You can get the last treasure in Treviso only by opening access to the Dellamorte Domain by completing all of Lucanis's quests. You can get to the desired point from the teleport in the Heart and Center area.
Having made your way into the courtyard of the mansion, you will also have to solve a small puzzle with the statues of the guardians. Instability in the veil near each sculpture will help you find the right direction. Use Lucanis' skill to summon hints.
Also open the guardian statue hidden behind the bars by activating three levers.
Once all the sculptures are locked in place, a passage leading to rewards will open in the northernmost part of the courtyard.

Port City
Treasure of Lost Time #1
You will find the first treasure of Minrathous only during the quest Desperate in Port City, which begins automatically upon completion of the quest Hidden Treasure.
You can start the chain of these quests in the location North of the Quay Crossing, interacting with the notice board. A marker for it appears after completing the quest “The Case of the Cobbled Swan”.
After finding hidden treasures in the catacombs of Minrathous, the quest leading to the Treasure of Lost Time will automatically start. Fight the Demon of Despair and activate the chest with a lyrium dagger to get a unique reward.
Rewards:
- Unique light armor Magistrate's End.
Treasure of Lost Time #2
The next treasure can be obtained by solving the riddle with the Lamp Golems. How to find all the golems with mysterious messages and open the passage to the chest, we described in detail in our separate guide.

Arlathan Forest
Treasure of Lost Time #1
To find the first Treasure of Lost Time in Arlathan, move to the location Fellow Thicket. To the right of the teleport point, you will find ruins covered in fel. Follow there, destroy all the abominations and all the fel clots. Using the skill Song of Stonelift the stone platforms to climb onto the balcony of the upper floor, where another chest will be waiting for you.

- Unique heavy shield Shadow-Touched Bastion, ethereal echoes and gold.
Treasure of Lost Time #2
Exploring the location Coastal Meadows in Arlathan Forest, you will come across a chest located on an island in the middle of the lake. Activate all the energy crystals using the three projectors scattered around to restore the bridge.
When you approach the chest, you will have to fight the Guardian of Secrets. Also behind this treasure you will find the first mystical disc, with which you can open the secret ending. How to find the rest of the disks and get the secret cutscene, you can find out from this article.

Treasure of Lost Time #3
The last treasure in Arlathan Forest is located in the Burnt Village area. You will be able to unlock access to it only as part of Taash's quest “Hunt for the Sparktooth”.
Find and defeat the high dragon to collect your rewards hidden near the battle site.

NecropolisÂ
Treasure of Lost Time #1
The only treasure of Lost Time in the Necropolis is in the arena with the undead high dragon. Start the quest “The Strongest of His Kind” by interacting with the door in the location The Chambers of the Unforged. You can get there by collecting all the Wisps for the quest“Restless Spirits”.
Kill all the echoes of the Formless One in different corners of Thedas and return to the Necropolis to defeat him in the form of a high dragon.
At the end of the battle, you will find a chest in one of the small rooms along the edges of the arena.

Hossberg Bog
Treasure of Lost Time #1
One of Hossberg's treasures can be obtained during the quest “Source of Corruption”. After defeating Amarell the Unraveled in the Shoal of Solitude location, you will see a chest in place of the Corruption Node.
Rewards:
- Unique Field Commander's Helmet, legendary materials and gold.
Treasure of Lost Time #2
You can only find the last chest of the swamps with unique loot after completing the quest “Something's Coming”. You can start this quest after completing the main quest “Blood of Arlathan”, as well as some secondary quests in Hossberg Marshes. At the Lighthouse in the library, you will see a letter from Hossberg Marshes, asking for help from Evka and Antoine.
After completing this quest, move to the Old Crossroads location, where you will find a chest in a meadow with flowers at the site of the filth.

Deep Roads
Treasure of Lost Time #1
On Harding's quest“Waiting Stone”You will be heading to the Deep Roads of Kal-Sharok for the first time. You will be able to find one single chest in the Kal-Sharok Outpost location, before meeting Stalgard.
From the elevator, head northwest and down the stairs, where at the very end of the road you will find the Treasure of Lost Time

Isana NegatÂ
Treasure of Lost Time #1Â
You can find another treasure of lost time in the Lyrium Cave on the way to search for missing gnomes. You can get to this location by completing the quest Thread Harding “Heart of the Titan”. The location is temporarily available and after completing the quest it will be impossible to return to it.

- Unique Medium Helmet Silent Gaze of the Perfect, valuable items and materials.
Blackthorn Manor
Treasure of Lost Time #1
The Blackthorn Estate treasure can only be found during your second visit, during the quest “Slaughter of Souls”.
As part of the quest, you need to meet Manfred in the location Servants' Wing, to use it to get into the tomb. Following the red tapestries, you will reach the cellar. Manfred will also open a secret passage, where at its northernmost point you will find a treasure with special equipment.

- Unique ring Essence Vortex, materials and gold.
