Walkthrough of Episode 1 “Transition”

At the very beginning of the chapter, you (Robert) will be talking to someone with a soothing voice. He will ask how you feel about your father. You can choose any answer, since it has no long-term consequences:

  • I love my father.
  • I didn’t know him well.
  • He is no longer with us.

Next, watch a short cut-scene in which Robert will drag the bandit onto the balcony. You will need to decide what to do with the interrogated criminal (this moment will have consequences).

  • (Release) – this will be mentioned later in the episode, but nothing critical for you will be.
  • (Get Out) – will not affect the plot in any way.

Then a new cut-scene will begin, in which you will need to quickly press certain keys (buttons) shown on the screen if you previously indicated in the settings that you want to participate in QTE scenes. They are not very complex and add interactivity to cinematic inserts.

How to hack a tablet

Having dealt with the bandits, you will pick up the tablet and begin hacking, in which you need to move the avatar cube in small squares using the “WASD” keys. Your task will be to bypass various security systems, stopping at cells with hints and completing certain requests on the screen.

So, to pass this test you need to do the following:

Move the cube to the right and stop at the square with the hammer icon, and then press the “E” key and the arrows indicated on the screen. Once you've lined up the route, move the cube to the next square with the hammer and repeat the procedure to create another bridge and continue moving forward.

Get to crossed hammers and create a path up – go to the green square and pick it up, loading the coordinates. Having received the data, return to the crossed hammers and again click on the necessary arrows to unlock the road down, where you need to download the second coordinates.

Keep moving further, standing on the last icon with a hammer and changing the route. Go back to the crossed hammers again, change the bridge and move up and to the right. Now no one will stop you from getting to the third data package on the very right side of the screen. Finally, lower your avatar to complete the hack.

You should know:You may well make mistakes in QTE scenes – this will slightly affect some cinematics, but the story itself will not change in any way, meaning you will still arrive at the same plot point. However, the game can calculate the percentage of successful clicks to compare with other players if you have activated the corresponding function.

If you find yourself in a difficult situation, respond to Toxic's words (again, this will not affect the story):

  • (Ignore).
  • Bullshit.
  • You are bluffing.
